    I'd rather hear the actual sounds than the dreamy electronic background music. Sound is an important part of the simulator experience, and I'd like to hear it.

    I really like the new style of showing of your new trains, but I do miss the preview of the sounds of the units. You should really try to work that into the presentation somehow.

    There are 380 cars (190 pairs) and 25 single (non powered) cars for a total of 405 M8s. Update: MN/CTDOT has ordered 30 to 90 new M8s due in 2020.

    Good job, RSC! A very nice model with sharp textures and lots of little details... a cab with an functional interactive display! Wow... best loco model so far... (disregarding the sound, because it can't be heard in the video :/ )
    Keep that up!

      Average brake pipe pressure is 120-130 on M8s.

    The train is nice but the braking was not good and the horn was awful.

    The LOD on the wheels should be better.

    This MU has some serious physics FPS problems. It's gotta be physics because it goes to 60 FPS the moment I pause the simulation. Otherwise it's at ~15. Please fix this!!!

    I don't know what RSC/DTG did to this model but, when used in scenarios as AI trains, they destroy your framerate. There's something wrong with them.

      sounds like you got a slow processor

    • @Paynekillah
      @Paynekillah 10 лет назад

      Nope. i73920XM extreme cpu. Runs everything great. It's pretty well known on the Workshop that these M8's are killing framerates for pretty much everyone.

      Supposedly a fix has been made, and will be released in a future patch. Don't know why they wouldn't patch it immediately if they have a fix, like most any other developer.

      Paynekillah LOL! Even RSC was getting some lag around the 1:00 minute point!
