Bringing your unparalleled commitment with the Exploring series to gaming is something I didn't know I needed in life until now. Seriously, I've seen actual gaming YT channels that don't put the care into their videos as you.

Personally, I too enjoy the older, retro games. There's something to be said for the effectiveness of low-poly or low-res images in conveying horror. It goes back to the old truism of fearing the unknown - your brain is much more effective at supplying the awfulness from something that is implied, rather than when you see the thing causing the scares in its entirety.
Wow, another goodbadgames! I thought I never would see one of these again. You should honestly make more of these, I come in not expecting much but then once you get into the story my eyes are literally glued to the screen and you have my full attention.

Oh my god I loved the cover art for Wizards as a kid (parents would never let me watch it) and two weeks ago finally got to watch it. All I can say is “Cocaine is a hell of a drug”. I watched it whilst running on the treadmill, listening to music and reading the subtitles. I now know why my old man was like “nah we can skip that.” The movie is just bonkers.
I love that GBF is branching out in to gaming. I also love the GBF is exploring lesser known titles. I tend to avoid most let's play channels, so I missed out on any coverage this game received in that direction. Seeing it here makes me think I should find a way to check it out.

I've never heard of Faith. Although I have very little interest in online games, I watched your video, and wished it were even longer. That shows you how compelling your videos are, especially your Exploring series.
Fantastic content. I'm hoping you return to the pool of unique games more often. Indie games have really blown up in the last few years. I probably spent as much time playing games like Phasmophobia as anything from major publishers lately.
Airdord is an inspiration to not only future game devs, but to anyone with with a dream. To put a year and a half of your life into something that may not even work out in the end is dedication very few people possess. I'm happy to hear he has New Blood as a distributor. They are an amazing retro style game company that has made some of the best FPS games of the last few years. I'll have to check this one out.
This is the sort of thing I want to do and I have mad respect for that do it. There's so many creative people out there and videogames are a very good medium to tell stories. I love the retro style also, not just for nostalgia reasons but a limited medium really draws out the creativity and ingenuity of such talented people. Which also brings something unique and surreal that modern polished 3D graphics fail to achieve.
Its crazy that here was a guy who saw the lack of something he wanted, so he learned how to do it and made it himself. It was a very inspiring story and I was happy to tell it.
I have a tremendous amount of respect for Airdorf. He made a game that he thought the market needed, but wouldn't get traction to being a successful game developer, similar to Scott Cawthon, Toby Fox, ConcernedApe, and many more. In a world full of near realistic or cartoonish 3D games, it's always refreshing to see games that pay homage to the past, and in his case, to an era were the "PC Master Race" couldn't exist. It looks like it can play on one of those old PCs easily. For that, I tip my hat to him.
I remember this game from some years back, but I never played it myself, but after hearing how much love was poured into it, I need to check it out. Thank you so much for these fun videos!
That is truly a creep wee game, I grew up with an Amstrad in the house tough to capture the essence and feeling of such gaming but looks like he nailed it. Another great exploring, you totally nailed it. Lord Sugar would have killed to have this on his computer.
When I was about 6, one of my first video game experiences was a horror title on the TRS 80 Color called "The Trip". At the time, it scared the pants off of little old me with just text and those simple block graphics. Playing Faith opened up those wounds and left me with an experience like nothing I've had since in addition to the engrossing tale. Airdorf will always have my eye thanks to this.
Wasn't expecting a game review - I like it! Thanks for bringing Faith to my attention. Though the aesthetic is different, it never the less reminded me of 5 Days a Stranger and its sequels, which I played as a kid.
In terms of other coverage. I remember first hearing about this game from super best friends play. As part of their 7th shitstorm of scariness horror game marathon series.
Not sure how I missed this upload until yesterday, but I just downloaded Chapter 1 and played it for a bit (at night in a dark room with headphones on) and damn. It was actually giving me the chills and got a legit jump out of me. Technically two, but one was just because I was so tense from the game when my cat brushed against my leg. Can't wait for the whole trilogy to be released. Also, you might enjoy The Last Door. It is is a retro style point and click with awesome minimalist graphics(close to something from the early to mid 90s) a good story and some great cosmic horror. It also had me tense while playing it.

I came across this thanks to New Blood pushing it (and Dave Oshry nemeing it up) and I adore the audio and visual design - that, and it playing nicely on Linux. I'm terrible at it, and keep dying in the house, but as noted in this vid, Airdorf made something he felt needed to be made, and it works really well, *and* it has an audience that I don't think even he expected. I would love to do more gaming stuff but unfortunately, RUclips buries it. Case and point, this is the second video of this type I did. Last year I did an exploring video for the Zelda CDi games and YT notified .3% of my audience. I do have one more planned that I've been working on for a very long time but after that, I don't know if I will do any more. Its painful to work on something for months and have it actively suppressed by the algorithm. Movies will always be the main focus here, I just thought it would be interesting to do something different once in a while. Thanks though, glad you enjoyed it. I am proud of the episode despite the low view count.
Ok thank you first of all. I'm a huge fan of the paranormal and video games. Lately I've been searching for something interesting in video games, and that's hard to find sometimes. When I was growing up, video games were allowed to try different things, because it was more of a niche industry. Now, games have to appeal to as many people as possible in order to make all of the money. The AAA gaming industry is in trouble, but it keeps doing the same things over and over, chasing that same formula. I think independent creators will be the salvation of video games and this provides me hope for the future of the medium that has done so much for me.
Bringing your unparalleled commitment with the Exploring series to gaming is something I didn't know I needed in life until now. Seriously, I've seen actual gaming YT channels that don't put the care into their videos as you.

Late 2021...can't get much later then this, also "oh, ok 2022, makes sense"
Thank you for this and thank you airdorf
12:00 - "OUT, DEMON!" XD
Great episode
Depending on the release price but it certainly will go on my list. Another game in this Direction would be the "Last Door"
I've played Last Door. To be honest the best was chapter 1, after that it goes downhill and drags. But that just me, not sure about others.
Great to see Faith getting some more exposure, but whats that 2d souls-like being played at 17:58?
Dark Devotion.
You are welcome! I agree, it seems the indies are the only ones taking chances.
I want to make an 8-Bit Wizard game now.
Holy shit, a vinesauce reference on good bad flicks? Worlds are colliding!
