Many people speak about the "arrogance" of us Americans. It's not arrogance, it's pride in who we are and what we stand for. We're by no means perfect, but we are predominantly good, honorable, and caring people. Thank you for your video!

I've been a security contractor overseas for quite a number of years. I had a Project Manager who was retired from ST6. What an amazing individual he is. The training he gave us quite literally save some of our lives and that of our client. Nothing that he was forbidden to teach, but still above our level of previous training. He is a leader, a professional, a mentor, and I am honored to, to this day, call him my friend, as we communicate relatively often. Those men, along with their brothers in Delta, continue to do things in the middle of the night that we almost never hear about, while the rest of us sleep soundly in our beds. My profound salute and respect to these men.

A very good friend of mine was a member of Seal Team 6 for 20 years. He will always be a SEAL, and he loved it. But he will also always carry physical and emotional scars for the rest of his life. If anyone remembers the old guy Rudy on Survivor, that is who trained him. Rudy, at 60 years old, did everything he demanded them to do, and if they messed up and had to do it over again, Rudy would do it over again too. He was a tough old guy. My friend cried when he passed from Alzheimer's a few years back.

9:14 you've nailed it on the head. America sends in rescue teams when it's "higher percentage of success" otherwise it can be pretty long before anything happens. We've had kidnapped citizens in China, Russia, and North Korea and we haven't gone to get them.
We have however sent our own military to their deaths and traded valuable prisoners for rescuing US citizens who were traitors to the country or just being stupid (bowe bergdahl, brittney griner), those times are always controversial.

Our country is so up its own ass with make believe problems and people trying to tear it apart, seeing the appreciation of our core values warms my heart. We are not perfect, our goverment doesn’t represent the people but actions like this and countless others represent the PEOPLE, of our great country. We are good, and just no matter what labels and make believe issues are pushed. As an American thank you for reminding people how outstanding the good we do is. And also your kids are smarter than most of our Ivy League grads because they have common sense.

One night we watch a show about the the largest island country..Australia. Dad said that the Australia military was difficult to keep up with. He finally asked an Aussie why they were so fanatical. The reply was, "We Dont want to speak Japanese." That means they are a global force on their own. My dad was a good man.

You do what is necessary to keep each other safe against any threat. Being an an American also means that I'm given the honor to protect those that don't have to live under my flag but simply value the same thing as us. That is peace and equality. Unfortunately that requires violence byen like me to step in to create that so bad men don't rob you're beautiful family or mine of just that. It may not make much sense to you or your family but I would gladly lay my life down to protect you and yours. If something unfortunate we're to happen to me. They would understand and be proud. The U.S. tradition of non negotiation with terrorists, dates back to shortly after the founding. It began when pirates captured a U.S. ship and took the crew hostage. The U.S. sacrificed the sailors when the U.S. attacked the pirate port and fortress located on the shores of Tripoli, in Libya. They couldn't rescue the sailors, but they did burn the U.S. ship that was captured. The attack ended the harassment of U.S. flagged ships, by the pirates.

2 of the best Navy Seal stories or moments in my opinion are Lone Survivor and American Sniper. Lone Survivor is about a Seal Team of 4 people get brutally ambushed with only 1 member making it out alive. They made a movie about it. Then the most well known is American Sniper which is about the worlds best sniper on the seals that had the most confirmed kills. It’s sad because he retires to spend more time with his family only to lose his life at a firing range where he helped teach disabled kids to shoot.
