@Tony.. my thoughts exactly. This was NOT a good review, imo, and very biased. She started out talking against it right from the start. Also, WHO turns on an air fryer and ''tests'' it without food in it? Who would just start pushing buttons without looking at the paperwork?

I appreciate what you were trying to do, but I think it might be better to review the cheapest and most expensive air fryers with the highest ratings. I agree that sometimes you get what you pay for, but not everyone has a budget that will allow them to spend $200 on an air fryer. Just because an air fryers is expensive or has the name of a famous chef on it doesn't mean it will be a good value. And just because an air fryer is not expensive doesn't mean it will be garbage. The one in this video definitely is, but I don't think all cheap ones are. Just my opinion of course. Love watching your videos and I'm looking forward to seeing the showdown between the Cosori and the Paula Deen.

Suggestion on your fire extinguisher for the kitchen. Home Depot, there is a fire extinguisher that is a nozzle like you’re pushing for Raid, winder, etc. , and you know all the normal cans. Except this time you had to cut off the cord and text a photo of it and dispose of it. What failed on this Bella brand was the digital pad controls. To get a box out of a box - which you had trouble with - you, don't need a second person, you simply:
    1. Turn the box upside down.
    2. Cut open the BOTTOM.
    3. Fold the flaps out.
    4. Flip the whole thing over and place it on the floor, with the flaps out.
    5. Grab two of the flaps - on opposite sides - and lift.
    6. The outside box slides off the inside box, which is left sitting upright on the floor.

After roasting chicken wings and various veg for 1 hour in roasting pans in the oven then, putting everything in a large saucepan, it will then take 3 hours to simmer. It takes 45 minutes in the Ninha pressure cooker attachment! It grills and roasts like a dream. Our son missed it so much that he got himself a smaller Ninja, which has a rotisserie in it. The chicken is amazing. Ninja every time for me!

@barbaracarlson1331 it's been a while since I've returned it, but if I remember correctly...it was big, bulky, awkward looking to me, and I still found myself flipping my food, and it didn't cook fast ...in my opinion. Oh also, although the outside was big...the basket wasn't big enough for me. I'm still loving Paula Dean's af though. It cooks fast, doesn't take up a lot of room, huge basket, and looks good on the counter space. There were only minor findings with that one.

Sometimes the sellers write there own reviews, say product is great. Then you buy it and it is junk, like that air Fryer. Has happened to my daughter, so the tip on checking reviews and sticking to the ones with thousand or more review is the best way to get a good product.
Unrelated but my sister thought she found a deal on a switch game, she ordered it and received a pair of ugly sock 6 months later. So if it's to good to believe, don't believe.

I actually got it refurbished by Target because I’d much rather pay $50 than $120 and I’ve gotta say they did a really good job at refurbishing it. So I would highly recommend, but if they don’t have the refurbished ones definitely wait for a sale. Like I just looked and a new one is on sale for $80

I bought an air fryer from Asda about a year ago for £34 (about $44) and it's been great. It's just got a simple dial for switching on/timer and another dial for temperature control and no LED display. Very easy to operate and so far I don't really have any complaints (though I don't use it every day) when buying a cheap one its probably better to buy something like that than getting something with all the fancy buttons/lights.

Of course very cheap products need even more vigilant attention before buying, but like you, I bought an own-brand for €50 ($53) from a real store : Carrefour, a French Hypermarket.
Their own brand is called MANDINE and the model I bought has 5L (5.3Qts) capacity and 1900W. In France, own brands tend to be good-value for money and the distributor often imposes above average specifications.
I take Cathy's point that cheaper Air Fryers ON THE INTERNET will have lower quality teflon coating etc and are mostly a waste of money, but I wouldn't have bought a more expensive one, because at that point, I felt I had everything I needed in my kitchen. Nor apparently would the elderly lady above who's on social security.
It's early days to rate my recent purchase but I would say "so far, so good".
Cathy, a more interesting comparison for me would have been to test a "classic" upmarket airfryer like a Philips with a very cheap one, but chosen with discernment; maybe an own-brand like mine or guywakeford's (although I'm not sure that Asda or Carrefour would let you have one to test)
Incidentally, I'm new to your channel and I find your videos great !

"UL Listed" is not even a guarantee that it is in compliance with their guidelines...it would have to be "UL Certified" to mean that UL has actually tested the product for themselves. It is really just a promise that they are following the rules, and have paid the licensing fee to be able to stamp it on their product...what could possibly go wrong with that? Of course there is no corruption and bribery in China, right?

Write the expiration date ON THE BOTTLE so it stands out. Also, buy one with a gauge. The bottle may say 10-12 years. Not much good if you find out that you had a tiny pressure leak at year 5 and needed it at year 6. I tossed one this year about 4 years after it's shelf life. You yucks, I tried it out. It worked fine. It didn't have a gauge. Still would have bought a replacement. But I probably would have kept the expired one as long as the gauge was in the green zone.

A "fryernetic air fryer appointment button" refers to a function on an air fryer that allows you to set a specific time in the future for your food to start cooking, essentially "scheduling" your meal to be ready when you want it, even if you're not currently at home; it's essentially a delayed start feature.

I noticed a few other strange things with the "Fryernetic" air fryer. For example, the pictures on Amazon show a somewhat different control panel than your unit had. The "Appointment" button on yours is a "Preset" button in the pictures, but neither makes much sense, since the unit also has a "Function" button. Maybe it's supposed to be a Turn Reminder button. I also have no idea why an air fryer needs a "Nut" or "Nuts" preset. I suppose I could toast nuts in my air fryer, but that's not something I would do very often. And, as a few others have pointed out, this unit probably doesn't have a UL listing because of its 2400W power usage claim. If that claim is accurate, it most likely means that the air fryer was intended for countries with 220-240V household electrical systems, and the very least that should have been changed for US-bound models would have been to change the plug so it would only fit in 20-amp sockets. All in all, this was a very entertaining review, although it would have been even more so if you could have worked your kids into it somehow. 😄

Check the CE mark on it.. C E = all good, CE = China Export.. Basically if the CE symbol line up the C with the E you get 0 information regarding testing and standards, if there is a spacing you have an authentic CE certified product which has been through rigorous testing.
They most likely measured the volume without the racket, they (the chinese manufacturers) rarely stick to standard measurements..
Yeah, keep a fire extinguisher pointed at it at all times while it's plugged in..
I'd say that "appointment" is equal to "timer or timed setting"

found this by accident, ok first thing, Celsius, like the full metric system makes sense, 1Ltr water is 1000 grams, 1 cubic meter of water is 1000 Kg or 1 ton, all divisible by 10, Celsius 0 degC freezing point of water, 100, boiling point of water, answering someone's comment about plastic bits on basket, these will be silicone, melting point extremely high, when you removed the basket was it just the fan kept running, (this is normal) to disperse the heat from the unit with the basket removed, or did the element stay on? no certification mark, especially in the UK is not allowed, Amazon would not be allowed to sell such an item here, however ive not checked as i live in Thailand. I also noted only a 2 pin plug, there was no double insulation sign on the appliance meaning high risk of electric shock, and the unit must be earthed, especially with this power rating.

As I have watched the demonstrations, it seems to be much more than just an air fryer, using a probe that samples both the food item temperature and the internal oven temperature. It also has a water source to keep some things moist while others might be crisp. Seems to have a lot of intelligence with a wide choice of selections and internal recipes; a much advanced technology.
