Beautiful Arena. Also, Detroit fans, if you are reading this and going to go to a game soon, stay in the seats, and watch the game from your seats. No one likes seeing the red empty seats during the game. It looks like a Florida Panthers game.
Never leave my seat except for intermission but, honestly you can blame that on the ticket prices. They are better now however, first season it was like $200 for nose bleeds. 2 years ago I bought two glass seat tickets and it was over $700.... Shameful but I get it.
I was hoping for something like the 'New Olympia', or something else that pays tribute to the city. LCA isn't so bad - at least it keeps it's ties to Detroit, and the Ilitch family.
SuperSportSS nobody should be buying last row seats anyways last row is always crappy, if you want last tier you need one of the first 3 rows or your seats are garbage
@@davidkruse4030 Idiot? Really? The seats are historic and mean a lot to the city. It’s like they just stopped with the tradition of the Joe. It would of made the stadium feel like it belonged to an original 6 team, not a new expansion team Idiot
I've sat in the first 3 rows before and it sucks! Unless you're getting the seats to brag and show off to friends...the seats are horrible for actually viewing the game. The ideal seats are inside the blue lines and about 12 to 15 rows off the ice.
HOT TAKE: This is the dumbest, most unfunctional, and unsafe design for any arena I've ever seen. The upper deck is very unsafe, and too steep, which could lead someone injuring themselves. And before you say, "But Nick, it was designed so people could see the action clearly." That's true, yes. But, Spartan Stadium is massive, and yet, its seats are nowhere near as steep, and have way less falling hazards, and I never had any problems seeing anything. They really should've gone back to the drawing board on this one. Huge F for practicality on this one. I know, because I was there.
People who went to the Kid Rock concert says it sucks. No smoking area anywhere. Seats very narrow, very steep, sound quality was poor. Security very bossy and demanding. I'll pass until we have a 100 point win team.
The upper level does look hella steep, the arena is nice and all dat till u see the steepness and also the terrible view from the very top, it makes me kinda uncomfortable looking at that view , barely can see the scoreboard and can only see like half the arena
Ever consider it's the fans of kid rock that are the issue? I'm from Michigan but kid rock is trash. Of course there is no smoking, kid rock fans probably smoke. I'm all for intense security in Detroit. Its necessary
As far as ACTUAL SEATING BOWLS go, the Palace was the best I have ever seen. The UC emulated it, and it has THREE concourses, rather than LCA's two. The Club concourse is even carpeted with lounges!
From Milwaukee... but damn this is sooo beautiful. Detroit as a whole is rising back to where it should be!!
Beautiful Arena.

Thank you! When I went to the game I stayed in my seat the whole time
dont tell them what to do. they bought the seats they can do what they want
They've since been changed to black

Greatest Arena at NHL no doupt about it.
Wow go Detroit its beautiful.
The upper levels are steep asfff
Right? I was there for the astroworld tour and was shitting myself trying to get to me seat lol
Motor City Colosseum would be such an amazing name
I’ve got a 3 row seat in 117 for the Red Wings home opener this year. Can’t wait.
Awesome arena, shit name
Gordie Howe/Joe Dumars Arena
Motor City Arena
I was hoping for something like the 'New Olympia', or something else that pays tribute to the city.

to keep with the sponsor, Caesar's Colissuem would have been a sick name imo.
2 years old and already has new seats
Man that sic! Really awesome
The upper bowl reminds me of BC Place
You can only see a tiny section of the scoreboard from the last row of seats. Unreal.
SuperSportSS I noticed that when looked at the virtual arena site also upper bowl seems like horrible seats
I went to the sneak peek event today. The upper bowl is less than desirable.
SuperSportSS nobody should be buying last row seats anyways last row is always crappy, if you want last tier you need one of the first 3 rows or your seats are garbage
The point is, JLA had excellent upper bowl seats compared to LCA. We were all spoiled with JLA's excellent seating arrangement.
The upper bowl is steep, but I think the views are good and it seems a little closer due to the slope.
They should of used the seats at the joe and moved them all to little ceasars arena
lol why?those seats are 30 years old idiot.

It's beautiful.. ❤️
I sat in row 16 a couple weeks back and it was perfect. I just don’t like looking through plexiglass. So much nicer than the old Joe Louis.

The concourse reminds me of AutoWorld
20000 for ice hockey 21000 for basketball fuck what Wikipedia says go to site and look at the a z guide
I'd rather have a great team than a fancy arena. The Wings were just fine at The Joe.

Too bad the Red Wings suck!
Arena is okay, concourse is beautiful. Seating on the other hand is too tight and steep. Joe Louis Arena had better seating period
I still think the United Center is better.
Lou Santo are You Nuts!!!
Lou Santo nope
LOL. You wish your 1994 arena was better than our 2017 arena.

The Palace still is a great place and is very modern. But, this place will blow people away.
