What is scrying, and how you can do it safely!

- Oooo, I'm so excited to be able to share this How to Scry video with you all.
Not only is it great that you want to explore this form of divination, but I get to share with you how you can practice scrying safely. When it comes to magic, I think protection magic is the least talked about. Most witches do follow their own ways of protecting themselves, but usually witches had to learn the hard way with either a spell backfiring, or contacting the wrong entity before they took protection magic seriously.
SO - that's why I wanted to share this video. Not only to let you know what scrying is, what kinds of scrying there are out there, but also, how you - as a new diviner - can protect themselves while exploring this fun and ancient way of communicating through the veil.

I learned this on my own 10 years ago, barely learning it's a thing this week. Wish i didn't know it had ties to magic or witchcraft. Not that I'm not open to that, but i think it can influence the vision or messages. I've only had positive experiences. Never had an intention to connect with anything. Just stare into the mirror and let the visions or messages come through. Would be kinda cool to direct it though, however i think it will be less effective if I'm expecting something.

Thank you .. that's great information. It brings up a question tho..Are regular mirrors also a portal ?
Is that why some people cover them too or is that being obsessive? If they are a window then how can we protect ourselves while having these mirrors in our homes?
Great question. Generally what I do with my mirrors, scrying and regular, is lock them with a locking oil or, in most cases draw a locking sigil with my finger in the corner of the glass where it won't hinder the use of the mirror. I redo the lock after cleaning the mirrors, or whenever my gut tells me it's time to redo the lock. Hope that helps. :)

Great video. Can rosemary oil be used, or does it have to be rosemary leaves for the mix to seal the mirror? Thank you!
Yes, you can use rosemary oil on the glass. I would avoid using it on the frame cause certain oils can tarnish metals, or stain wooden frames. :)
I don't scry with candles, mirror, ir smoke, but I have an odd thing happen to me every once in awhile. I will be outside looking at the ground or a concrete wall and suddenly faces in the concrete will appear to me. Is that scrying? P.s. No, I am not mentally ill or on drugs.
I believe that is more of a facial recognition thing than a scrying thing. As humans our brains seek out patterns and when we look at things like concrete or ground it can be surprising when our brain recognizes things like faces. It's how we get bunnies in clouds and the man on the moon. Because humans seek connection and our brains seek to make sense of what we perceive sometimes it can work overtime. With that said, if you are asking questions or seeking answers and going out of your way to see these patterns then I would say it's scrying. If you are just walking down the street and see a facial pattern in the concrete I would say it's your brain translating patterns into something recognizable. If that makes sense...
