Technically and officially C2-D8...but who's counting. Dimash certainly isn't. Most top singers in the world make music with 3 octaves and that's amazing. Dimash is the greatest singer I've ever heard.

Always cracks me up when I see a vocal coach starting a reaction to Dimash full of confidence and then realizing - as the performance progresses - that there is really nothing to react on, because it's flawless and he blows everyone out of the water 😂.
You just listened and watched a man that has had classic vocal training since age 5 and now - at age of almost 28 - is still practicing at least 3 hours a day. He sings in 13 languages, sings in different styles like opera, jazz, pop, folk, rock and he raps. He's a multi instrumentalist (piano, drums, dombra, ...). He is a creative innovative genius, he composes & arranges songs, directs his own mv's. He dances, is a fashion model and does a lot of charity work.
But above all that, he has the most impressive, wise, humble down to earth, loving, respectful personality ever.

You just witnessed the greatest vocalist alive. He’s from Kazakhstan, sings in 15 different languages, plays multiple musical instruments and is currently working on his PhD in music. He’s been training since the age of 5, has a 6-8 octave range (depending on who you ask) has absolute pitch, and is an amazingly humble man. He sings every genre (even raps) He has many recent performances, but I would highly recommend "Sinful Passion “ 2018 and then "Stranger" 2021, "Ikanaide" 2021, "Adagio" 2017, "Daybreak" at Bastau 2017. Each performance will leave you stunned.

He sings 7 octaves and 9 semi tones in 15 languages and plays 8 instruments. He has multiple degrees in music and is working on his PHD. His 1st album sold out in 37 SECONDS! Triple platinum in less than an hr. He was on a sold out world tour right when covid hit and played a concert in NY to 19,000 people and fans came from 68 countries to see him. No other artist could achieve that. You could not hope to meet a more humble, loving and respectful human. He calls his fans his DEARS as he says we are like family to him (which is huge for him) and that we are an extension of his soul. Welcome to Dimash´s world.
His name sounds: Dimash accented “mash” and accented /´gen. He is from Kazakhstan but he became more famous after singing in and China Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk, Belarus when he was 22/ 23 years old.
He uses techniques from opera, modern lyric, ethnic, glam, hard rock and pop environments.
Registers don´t apply to him. Not only male voice, no female voice, no alien voice: Dimash voice.
He connects to the lyrics and adds textures to his voice accordingly. So to get the full meaning look for a subtitled version of each; for instance you can react to:

“SOS d'un terrien en détresse” tells of an earthly being that is in distress and asking for help because he never felt well in his own skin, he better wants to be a bird to see the world in case it could be more beautiful when seen from above. Luc Plamadon wrote the lyrics of SOS about a very distraught young man who just lost his lover to overdose suicide causing him extreme questioning of his own existence. Standing over her lifeless body, he is able to let her go “in peace“ with the words ‘sleep, my child, sleep’. It is a part of an french Rock-Pop opera released in 1979: Starmania. One of the 5 most difficult songs in French language. It was recorded by Daniel Balavoine in 1979 or so and Grégory Lemarchal won of the French reality singing competition Star Academy 2004 with this song.
Great reaction! What's so crazy about Dimash is that, as impressive as SOS is, it really only shows a small part of what he can do. Every song he performs is different from the last and, even when you think you've seen Dimash's entire bag of tricks, he'll surprise you every song with some new part of his range, new style, or unusual vocal technique you didn't expect. Dude's a beast. If you continue reacting to Dimash (and I hope you do because it's a great ride, especially for someone like yourself who knows, understands, and loves music), I'd suggest:
- OLIMPICO: ruclips.net/video/dkPS6t84qg4/видео.html This song was written by Igor Krutoy and was written specifically for Dimash to sing at the start of the Second European Games. It's in Italian and shows off a lot of Dimash's lower range in a more classical/operatic style with some crazy high notes that will convince you Dimash is not from this planet. The version I linked is from Krutoy's channel and has the best audio/video quality of any of the Olimpico performances out there.
- ADAGIO: ruclips.net/video/eaq24OhkBRE/видео.html This is Dimash covering a song from his singing idol, Lara Fabian. This performance took place on the Chinese show "Singer" in 2017 and is the definition of "leaving it all on the stage." Dimash's previous performance on the show was his first big miss in the competition so his performance of "Adagio" was his comeback song the following week and, man, did he come back! This performance is iconic among Dimash fans (aka "Dears").
- SINFUL PASSION: ruclips.net/video/kLxCjIHhV-g/видео.html This is Dimash with the Russian band, A-Studio, performing A-Studio's hit "Sinful Passion." This is a gorgeous ballad that shows off Dimash's rich lower range in (mostly) more of a contemporary style along with lots of vocal techniques and switch-ups along the way AND several surprises that will blow any singer/vocal coach/musician's hair to the back of the room and make you think, "But... how?" The agility, the breath control, etc. on display in this one is breathtaking (and the lyrics, whether you already understand Russian or read the subtitles) are lush and gorgeous. I recommend CC if you don't speak the language.
- DIVA DANCE: ruclips.net/video/o5zMupUOgQo/видео.html Do you know/remember the song that the blue alien sang in the movie "The Fifth Element"? That song was written specifically to be unsingable by a human voice and, as a result, parts of it had to be synthesized for the movie. Dimash performs the song live - at the end of a 3 hour show, btw - and absolutely NAILS it. If other Dimash songs have you wondering, this performance will convince you that Dimash is an alien. NOTE: This performance is Dimash's best version of Diva Dance by far (in other versions, he sings lower and skips a couple of the harder runs he developed by the time of the performance I linked above. It is, however, relatively short (~1 minute 40 seconds) so it's a quick reaction. If you want to do a longer vid, you could compare two versions of Dimash doing the Diva Dance BUT PLEASE, if you only do one, do this short, "Diva Dance"-only version from Bastau. It's the best performance of it by a mile.

While, I like his older version(s) of SOS better, he’s keeping it fresh. After Dimash, your next artist to react to, and one of Dimash’s protégé’s, who he styles his emotional way of singing from too. He covers a couple of her songs, AND had one written for him by her. The singer is LARA FABION, she writes & composes most of her own music. Meli, thanks for reacting to Dimash. If you stay awhile with Dimash I think you will be both pleased and amazed, all of his performances are simply incredible. Dimash has several versions of SOS, this one is my favorite. I think it's the most polished and the stunning visuals are hard to beat. What you will find is that Dimash is fully invested in all his performances and will give you 1000% each and every time. Whatever language he chooses to sing the song in, it really makes no difference if you know that language. He feels the song and makes you feel it, it's his "super power". While it's difficult to recommend one song over another, there is something special about "Ikanaide" and I think you will enjoy his performace of it. Recorded for the 2021 Tokyo Jazz Festival and sung in Japanese, this live studio performance set to a beatuifully simple instrument track really showcases his incredible range, breath support and is a master class in dynamic control. 📌 Welcome! Who is Dimash Qudaibergen? (pronounced: Dee-mahsh Kuh-di-ber-ghen)
Dimash Qudaibergen was born on May 24, 1994, in Aktobe, Kazakhstan into musical royalty. Height: 1.91m; 6' 3'. Grandfather played professional dombra, grandmother was a teacher and sings.

According to Kazakh tradition, he was raised by his grandparents (Mama and Papa) and for a long time he kept his parents as his brother ans sister in law. They all live together in one house.

He has been training in music since he was 5 years old, has a perfect pitch. He is university-educated with degrees in classical/opera, contemporary music, pop, and jazz with a major in vocal. So far, he sings in 13 languages. He trains his voice for 3 hours every day, ..but Dimash said: "You don't need to know how hard I've worked, you just need to enjoy the results".
Experts consider Dimash to be a lyrical baritone with a typically long range. Dimash says of himself that he is a tenor. Some believe that he does not sing his high notes as a countertenor but as a natural soprano. He is the first singer to sing all 5 voices: bass, baritone, tenor, contralto, soprano.
