That's beautiful
Beautiful work
Gorgeous!!
Quite a few varieties grow wild in my yard in South Florida high in Pine and Oak trees attached to bark in mid branches. Our humidity is always high and we get a lot of rain but can go for many weeks with no rain. They also get a lot of direct sunshine and thrive. Frequently find pups on the ground and stick them in branches and bushes. Have some amazing bloom displays.
Beautiful work thankyou for sharing
Thank you for the video
Absolutely gorgeous 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Thank you for sharing
so interesting !
Hi! I'm also in Billings and I also collect driftwood along the Yellowstone, mostly at Two Moon. These are absolutely gorgeous and gave me some new ideas, so thank you!
Great minds think alike about collecting driftwood at Two Moon! There are lots of other places on the Yellowstone near Billings to collect, which I'll assume you are aware of. I haven't made a video in two years as I have been dealing with long COVID fatigue, which has been devastating to my usual activities. Recently, I've decided to force myself to make some new videos as I truly love creating them. Thanks for saying my work inspires you, yet it's actually nature which provides the passion through the wonderful forms driftwood can take, especially the roots. Post some of your finished projects, I'd like to see them.
@@larsjames777 Oh no, I'm sorry to hear that! I hope you continue to get better and better
@@montanaplants Thanks for your concern about my health, I see my MD next week and have found some protocols online I will suggest that I try. Two Moon has loads of driftwood available when the spring floods subside, generally in early July. Any fishing access east or west of Billings has driftwood and obviously that changes yearly. I also collect small plants at Two Moon for terrariums and small pots. I love moss and collect many species around Billings (always for closed terrariums). I've bought dozens of unique glass containers at charity shops, and I could easily sell or giveaway a few as I have way too many to store easily. I'm really looking forward to spring this year just to get outside and look for driftwood, plants and. If you ever have questions about cleaning, bleaching and finishing driftwood, let me know.
@@larsjames777 thank you! Yes, I don't know anything about those processes!
@@montanaplants Contact me anytime about finishing techniques for driftwood. FREE TIP: I've found that if I mix Clorox at about 5:1 (water to Clorox) and soak the driftwood for at least 12 hours, the driftwood takes on a beautiful blonde appearance, though it varies with the wood. Make sure the wood is very clean by rinsing first and then is completely submerged in the Clorox / water; I use a large plastic storage tub outside and place rocks on top of the wood. Then soak in clean water for 12 hours and let dry in the sun, which also bleaches the wood. Some pieces are just gorgeous, all are remarkably lighter.
Are these art available for sale?😋
Most of them are still available. Which one(s) are you interested in, I can quote you a price plus shipping. Most of the plants have been sold.
