You said so any things I’d love to talk about - but hold back - when making friends w someone new.(and I’m a neurotypical.) It takes a lot of courage to start friendships. My new friend is on the spectrum, but listening to your video, all the points you touched on are good to consider/talk about with any friend. I appreciate everything you said and especially that it’s important not to take it personally if my friend w autism needs to leave or forgets to say goodbye. I’m glad I know not to inadvertently rush my friend into anything and also to be very straightforward. You answered so many questions for me and made it a positive thing to be curious! Thank you! Now that I know a little more about what to consider while getting to know my new friend, i feel more encouraged and less awkward.
