Thank you for sharing! I just got this pen and am LOVING it! I started with Diamine Syrah but it was too pink in the pen compared to swatches. Then I tried J. Herbin Rouge Grenat based on Reddit suggestions. I am now hoping that Van Dieman’s Birds of a Feather Mandarin Duck Wing will work since it has the tiniest bits of gold shimmer.
Writers Blood is said to be a wetter ink than most, so it might work best in pens with fine points or ones that write dry. It’s a lovely color. Thank you for sharing this ink comparison and first inking of your gorgeous new pen.

Ah yes the syrah i forgot to mention! Lovely choices of inks how i wish to one day try them its really difficult to get those here 🥲
Writers blood has a purple undertone that really throws off the "Blood" vibe. I enjoy it a lot but I regret choosing it over ox blood.
