@@raysoriv Yeah they're almost impossible to find. I went to Guitar Center yesterday they had none in all their stores. I asked if i could order one and they said they're on back order until August. I found one on Reverb and ordered it. How are you liking it? I almost bought a Yamaha A5R but i'll try the FG5 out for now and see how i like it.
Compression is helpful but it isn’t a miracle worker. I can tell this guitar is resonating and holding the strummed chords nicely. I own an FG5 now. One of the best projecting acoustic guitars I’ve ever played. I am grateful I found this video along the way to help me make my mind up about this purchase.
@@MississippiDave You are hearing iphone compression. It makes every guitar sound about the same, and I recognized the sound before I knew it was recorded with an iphone.
That’s not what I’m hearing when I play it in my own hands. But cool. I have no dog in the fight. The guitar sounds beautiful for anyone looking for a great instrument. This vid demonstrates it nicely. 👍
@@MississippiDave Of course you wouldn't hear it when you play the guitar. It sounds excellent in every other demo I've heard where it is recorded with a good mic and appropriate compression. I wish I could test one out in person but haven't encountered one in the wild yet.
Where did you find that guitar in stock at ? I have one on order since March 2021, still waiting. I plug in for most things and hope it plays as good as my Taylors, Martin, Kepma & Eastman.

These contemporary Red Label Yamaha guitars are as sweet as agave. I own the FS5 and often fantasize about the FG5.
I just got my FG5 and if you can find the cash and somewhere that actually has one to sell you will not be sorry.

The iPhone mic is great actually. It has a warm low end, sometimes I’m impressed by the quality of the demos I record. Great playing by the way!
