@@thekingofcookies4877it’s a problem when I’m wearing the Spider-Man 3 black suit and I’m stuck with white robotic spider arms when I do a spider jump or dash. It literally breaks immersion.

My biggest gripe is that Peter can’t switch into his symbiote by pressing R3 or whatever. That was my biggest excitement to be able to fight as standard spidey, and then switch into symbiotic moves mid fight.
You could do that before the update by pressing L3 and R3 when you have surge meter

You can’t change weather only time of day and that’s after the main story
I wish we still had access to the mechanical arms for parrying. For me at least having it on sotry its still white tendrils. At least i can change it to black now but id like the option to be what suit your wearing

I know right; the story option practically doesn’t make any sense bcuz it’s still tendrils when you parry no matter what. It’s so annoying and kills immersion.
I’m telling y’all, it doesn’t matter what suit you have. You’ll be stuck on tendrils when u parry, no more spider arms. I noticed it right away when I started playing from the beginning and got super frustrated.

I found the Tendril Color change in the Settings.... but uh ... Am I the only one who can't find a way to change Parry back to Mechanical Arms??? if yes , then... that sucks ..
I think you need to equip all the mechanical abilities

I got spiderman 2 for Christmas and platinumed it within like 3 days, 27 hours. When going to NG+ I pressed triangle instead of square and deleted my play through like a dumbass, I am now having to start a couple missions in on my cousins save and speed run this shit.
Wish me luck that I finish quickly and don’t get burnt out

Hopefully in the future they’ll add the ability to change your regular webbing from white to black, can’t rock the Spider-Man three symbol suit with just white webbing.

All that wait, is just for basic features. It's a letdown for me. I can't still change weather. Like raining, or sunny. Even that's on the first game. Still cant change the parry arm for peter (its still white tendrils even if you changed the colour to black on settings) and after you beat the game, you cant change the symbiote surge suit from white back to black. Which i dont understand why? And still forcing us to use that miles trash suit in a cutscenes even we selected a different suit.

Overcast is the only option where u can change the weather, but it’s limited to a time of day

Can’t do thunder rain night time, spider arms for parry, bug on Andrew Garfield outfit eye, change air jump and thrust abilities to symbiote instead of arms for raimi black, no purple or red symbiote option to match outfits, Golden gadgets were worse than expected…. What else
I want to use the webbed black suit but when I do a spider jump or dash it still uses the mechanical arms when I want it to use the black tendrils and idk if I can even change it. I can use the tendrils on only the story black suits but not the webbed black suit😢

Biggest letdown is not having a iron spider rage mode
I hope if they do a dlc they add something like that. Along with changing to the spider arms more easily and what not. More tendril colors too, saw concepts by someone on twitter that made a bunch. One in particular was red and blue tendrils for the 2099 suit, looked so good and would go so hard with the other 20 red and blue suits peter has. I know modders will do it when it comes to pc, though.

Those of you hoping for DLC well I have some good news there is an accidental debug menu in this new update that confirms Lady Beetle story DLC.
the only things that were letdowns were the hellfire gala suits. i dont know why insomniac likes suits where miles’ dreadlocks show. it just makes him look silly. especially when in combat, it looks like a normal spider man fan that dresses up like him with a cheap walmart mask. also im pretty sad that we cant change weather. playing in rain at night time with the bully maguire suit or any of the symbiote suits would be absolutely sick. what i liked about the miles game was that u could make it snow when u want to. other than that, im still humbled, this update was just what was needed for this game. it was losing players and now it has gained a good few more players

It wasn’t losing much most people dickriding Pete the whole game so I’m good could care less who leaves they still get paid either way
Personally for me this is a bit of a let down. Though they'd add a bit more, but maybe they will do that dlc? I was thinking more tendril colors or being able to more easily swap between the spider arms and tendrils parry(apparently you can do that somehow, but I've seen people say they can't get it to work). Also changing the actual weather would be cool, like storms and rain. Maybe even snow since they had that in miles game? I know they went through that huge leak, where both comapny and personal employee info was leaked. But idk, its been almost 5 months and all we got was, what I feel, is the bare minimum of a ng+ and stuff that just should have been there at launch. Idk I guess I expected insomniac to do a little more I suppose, especially since they hyped it all up. Also gold gadgets is just silly imo. Ultimate difficulty combat is too hectic I will literally never pay attention to the color of my small ass gadgets. I was excited to play again and unlock cool new stuff, but tbh there aint a whole lot more and idk if I'll even keep playing since ive beaten it twice before already, 100% both times. Great game, little bit of a disappointing update for me though.

I haven’t gotten all my suits for some reason I only got the Hell fire suit but yet it shows a number 3 on Peter as if I have 3 new suits 🤦🏽♂️

What happens when you symbiote surge do you still get the anti venom suit as standard.
No, but when you make them black the burning affect from the anti-venom will still happen when hitting other Symbiotes
So something Ive noticed that I seem nobody is talking about is before this update, if you were using any suit aside from the symbiote suit, you would transform into it from your current suit when you use the surge.
Since this update, after you use symbiote surge, it no longer transforms your suit. Pretty disappointed by this and hope there's some way to fix the transformations.

The option to change the Tendril color is available as long as you downloaded the update. Changing the time of day isn't available when you start new game plus

Suit Lock is disabled for both Replayable Missions on your regular save, as well as New Game +. Replayed the Final Mission immediately for a bit with the New Red And Blue Suit and Miles Morales 2099 Suit, and I can confirmed that you’re not forced into wearing the Anti-Venom Suit and Evolved Suit. Thank god.

Changing time of day is available after you beat the game. So any of your old saves have them

Anyone know how NG+ surge works? Ive seen it sometimes set the suit to the symbiote suit and sometimes it retains the equipped suit, audio for black tendrils seem bugged as peter doesnt sound as angry
Did you ever find out I don’t like using the surge mode and still keeping the same suit equipped I like when it changes
@@unknownperson4109 from what I've had happen it seem likes the aggressive ability audio only plays when you intentionally equip the symbiote suit while every other suit just plays the antivenom audio (black might make the venom whispers play but I haven't heard it)
@@Splaffy-0- in my save peter still screams when using surge mode. However, it doesnt make the symbiote suit equipable. Like, when i use surge mode, he stays in the suit im using and doesnt turn into venomized spider-man. Its kinda annoying, and i wish it still was a feature.

Can you have the symbiote abilities with the Raimi black suit after the update?
Nope. You can have the symbiote combat abilities be black, but if you mean the traversal moves, they are still the spider-arms. The more I learn about the update the more disappointed I am. Might be back to baldurs gate for me unfortunately, I really wanted ng+ to be worth it but its just not for me. I honestly expected to be able to change the webs from the tendrils to normal webs, no matter the suit, and same with the traversal abilities. Swapping between spider arms and tendrils for that would have been simple I thought, but i guess its just too hard to implement in 5 months even though the game does it already when switching suits, meaning essentially all the code is already there....
Also, to add on to my comment. When activating the symbiote rage mode, it doesn't put the black suit over your suit anymore. Not sure if that's because in ng+ i havent gotten to the point on the story of having the suit, but my point is you can use the raimi black suit and the rage mode will have you using the tendrils with raimi suit still on. Looks pretty cool, hopefully it stays that way, but I assume once you get to having the suit in the story, that it will start overlaying it on top of your suit from there.

Personally decided I'm gonna wait until the dlc to do ng+, there just isn't enough here for me and the symbiote suit colors aren't exciting enough for a whole playthrough, though most are pretty cool(def not 5 MONTHS worth of work though imo)

No this is just an update, adding some extra stuff like NG+ and a few suits and fixing some issues.

Golden gadget was a letdown. Litterally a cosmetic change to something you dont really see in game that you use freaking resources to craft.
Parrying with tendrils instead of the mechanical arms really makes me not even want to replay it 😒

Why do you pary with the venom arms they screwd it up if you where in the red suit you whould pary with the robot arms and now you pary with the venom arms by default it ruins the emergin into the game if you play with suits like the iorn spider and superior spider-man suits
