Beautiful looking 5.0! One of the nicest I've seen actually. I was curious as to where it was run at because of the times and trap speed. I'm guessing this was done at high altitude because this 5.0 is making about 60-70 more RWHP than a stock 2014 5.0 which runs about the same ET and trap speed you're running. Your driving and shifting look good, so it has to either be high altitude, or extremely hot temps, or both. I loved the video though. Thanks for sharing it.

Hi Chris I am not the driver of the car but this was ran at Mission Raceway Park in BC, Canada. I think the issue was also traction as he was not running drag radials so the starts were not ideal. Altitude I believe is around 800ft at this time of day. The best time the driver has ran was a 12.44 @ 117mph. I feel that a set of drag radials would help with bringing the times down.

Oh okay. That makes sense. Don't get me wrong, the times were still great. I figured this GT should be able to get into low 12's with 440 RWHP. 12.44 @ 117 is a good time. The trap speed is right where I'd expect with this kind of power, so I bet low 12's could be run in without a problem in ideal conditions. Thanks for the reply.

I totally forgot to mention that I subscribed to your channel a little while ago. One of my cars is a nicely modded 2008 Mustang GT Premium Coupe 5 speed manual that I absolutely love. I only have one video of it showing a walk around, but I plan to make more videos of it. I keep putting it off because of work. I work insane hours and I'm saving up for a house, so I don't have much free time unfortunately. Anyway, If you ever want to see my video, you'd have to scroll down my videos a little ways, but I made the video only about 5 months ago. All of the mods are listed when you expand the description. I have since gotten a much better camera as well. I filmed my Mustang with my old camera. Best of luck with your channel! I see you have a lot of videos as well, so I will definitely watch more of them after work tomorrow... Take care,
      -Chris

As soon as I make my first much better video of my GT with my new camera, I'll let you know as well. I'm at work for the next 7 hours, so I'll watch more of your videos when I get home later tonight. Thanks again.

There's no way you're running those low times. I have a tune only and run 12.54 no tire nothing.

was running slower than usual that night. was a pretty hot night and I find I get better times shifting around 72-7500. This night I was taking it too high around 7800 (normal for CJ) but still have run better shifting earlier. Done a 12.44 @117 but still only a 2.0 60ft. And last run i got locked outta 4th hence the slow time/mph

Jeff L dude! I picked up the new mgw shifter and it shifts like a dream. it bolts on the transmission, but its so solid you lift the whole trans with it. its pricey but worth it. ive had no lockout with it. it might be a little tough shifting at high rpm, but the shifter will force it in. highly recommend. do you have 373s by chance?

Ya 3.73's and i've got a barton shifter. Night and day compared to stock for sure. Would still like to pick up a blowfish racing bracket one day. The new Barton is closer to the MGW but is pretty pricey. Used to get locked out of third all the time. Only now when i'm above 7000 but not always.

Tune and exhaust 2014 track pack here with an MGW shifter. Ran 12.11 on a 95 degree day. Shifting at 6900rpm.
