I held a lot of anger, resent, and anxiety in my body for way too long. I thought something was physically wrong but it was all psychological, probably due to the last year and everything together. Going back to Church after my ten or so year break has lifted me up and changed how I view the world and situations. Wow! Not only is this a great worship song lyrically and Matt has to be one of if not the best "lead worshippers", I believe I heard Matt say that is what he wants to be referred to as. But this is such a great song musically. Simple, straight forward, easy to play, solid! I call these type of songs "simple good". Tasty!! As a worship leader sometimes I think we may try to get a little to complicated for what we need to be accomplishing. Worship and prayers in agreement calms my anxiety. My anxiety usually starts 10 at night so i gather my family to pray in agreement that God gives us comfort and spirit of stillness that what ever happen we know God will always there for us
Wow! Not only is this a great worship song lyrically and Matt has to be one of if not the best "lead worshippers", I believe I heard Matt say that is what he wants to be referred to as. But this is such a great song musically. Simple, straight forward, easy to play, solid! I call these type of songs "simple good". Tasty!! As a worship leader sometimes I think we may try to get a little to complicated for what we need to be accomplishing. I remember Chris Tomlin saying he writes his music/songs intentionally simple so that the church can use them. Thanks Matt!!
