You don’t need to use pliers for the button connectors if you look closely you’ll see you squeeze the unlock clip on the connector and they come off without any force!
Thank you for telling me that since I did not know that.
@@arcadetalk your welcome, funny enough I just added a control panel and some leaf switches to my AF today. (It was delivered this week) and already the left original button had failed. The microswitch buttons are not too reliable as I also had one fail on my Micro Pinball so luckily I had two spares. Also green !
@@WhoCaresWinsAgain That stinks that the left button failed. My new buttons feel and sound so much better then the stock ones.
Thank you for the video tutorial! I want to replace my stock flipper buttons with the gold leaf ones. I’m nervous about disconnecting the connections on the old ones though…you make it look easy with the pliers! Mine seem pretty tightly attached. Thanks for the wrench suggestion too!
I was nervous too. It was not that bad doing it though. It is worth it in the end. I love the new buttons.
Thanks man, your video helped me put the arcade control panel in. Cheers!
that is awesome. Thank you for watching my video. It means a lot to me.

@@arcadetalk Did you happen to see the topper mod Tampa Tech did with "lightning" effect? I would love to see someone else attempt that so I can get some more perspective before trying to do it myself. Thanks again :)
Yes, I did see his mod. I am thinking about doing it. I am going to do the lights underneath and behind the backbox first though.
good work 👍earned
Thank you so much 😀
Great detailed tutorial
Thank you and thank you for checking it out.
@@arcadetalkI preordered the Mars 4k today. Noticed the wrench you have in the description is unavailable. Any other alternatives you recommend ?
@@Comrade2k7 Since you have some time before you get your machine, wait until they have them back in stock. I imagine they will get more in.
Great ⭐Thanks for the nice video🙂
Thanks for watching my friend!
I’ll check this out thanks, I couldn’t see what you pulled out with the needle nose pliers I assume the metal prongs I don’t want to brake anything
Yeah, I pulled the wires off the buttons. They were stuck on there. I think they had a little glue on them since I could not get them with my hand. I was afraid I would break something so I used the needle nose pliers. On the new buttons the wires slid nice and easy.
het Tmclosky, what wheel did you get from Amazon to put on your 4k pinball legs?
Here is a video I did on them since I cannot remember what brand they are. I do believe the link is in the description: ruclips.net/video/KWUF36f7PJI/видео.html
I didn’t see a link to the gold leaf buttons and nut tool. Could you let us know where you got them?
They are in the description. You have to hit more to see them.
Great video, thanks for the content. I am planning on doing both of these changes as well. Do you have the link for the button wrench?
I just added those links. Thank you for reminded me.
@@arcadetalk Perfect, thanks.
Nice job. I got the buttons switched and the new control panel installed. One thing that no longer works right is the Snoopy table. It doesn't use the flipper buttons correctly anymore. I can only get the flippers to move on the Snoopy table using the joystick (right and left). All of the tables work as designed with the flipper buttons. Are you seeing an issue with the Snoopy table?
I have no issues on Snoopy. I think the flipper lag is better since I installed my buttons. That is the only table that is like that for you?
@@arcadetalk both Zen tables actually are completely broken and unusable.
I wonder why. Both tables play better for me since I changed out the buttons.
@@arcadetalk Button change was fine. It broke with the control panel install.

Do the buttons come with the appropriate micro switch or do i need to get that part separately?
The minature gold-plated leaf switches are inside the buttons. If you use my link it says it on the person's ebay. It is the first sentence under item description from the seller.
Theres no color option when buying the buttons??
You pick your color during the checkout process under the "review item and shipping tab". You click the "message the seller" and then type it in there what color you want.
@@arcadetalkGreat Video. My table had a faulty screen, so it’s going back for warranty, but I’d like to order these switches as well. The listing you link to doesn’t show the color that you have. Do you recall what that was called? Thanks for the great info.
Link to the gold leaf buttons please.
I added the link in the description.
