Well done Jack building your log store, looking good. Didn't notice tooth paste on your lip. Thanks for sharing part of your life with us. Take care, stay safe and warm. 😊
In the US we say wood keeps you warm multiple times. All the moving around and then in the burner....so true! Looks like you have a bunch of kindling in the hedge clearout!
aesthetics wise, team gabby but practical wise team jack on the curtain poles. The wood would snag surely haha! Also can confirm we hadn’t noticed the toothpaste until you mentioned it 😂
Your log store is really nice you have done brilliant job. I always enjoy your videos because you are both so down to earth. I think it lovely when you make things yourself and you are recycling things as well. Have a lovely week all four of you.🧑🎄☃️🎄🦴
Copper pipes or pvc would work as well. Just hem the curtains and they will slide back and forth. It is hot and muggy in Florida. I live near the east coast. Winter here is boring!!! Love your channel I hope you don’t leave the narrowboat life, but you need to do what works for you and your little family.
My vote on the curtain rods? Whatever means you get it up fastest. (I hate feeling like I'm in a fishbowl) That said, if you want to try something else you can but you've benefitted from the current curtained windows.
Good to see you again and hats off to your work on the brilliant wood store and the curtains will be a great addition to help keep warm too. Wishing you all a very happy Christmas! Let’s hope for some good doses of Vit D 🌞! 🌲
Its not fly tipping if you dont intend to abandon it. But i think they must be on a private mooring because 14 days isnt enough for those logs to dry out
@@PBK.london people put something outside their house and get done for "fly tipping". Show me "Its not fly tipping if you dont intend to abandon it" is the legal terminology. If they are storing or leaving items on public paths/property that is the literal definition of fly tipping. Dumping stuff on property that is not your own. Ive reported them to the Canal and River Trust so will let them deal
Dumping is the key word here. In order to dump something you would leave it there. They will take the logs when their 14 days is up if its a public mooring, if they dont then you could call it fly tipping
I'm not sure I understand what the log storage is all about - are you going to put it on the boat when you move, or are you staying in that location all winter ? The whole thing seems to be about using the strip of towpath by the boat as your garden - which I can see why you would do that, I just don't see how it works with being mobile ! Hopefully nobody else cares how long you stay, or your using the towpath as 'garden' ! Some things get pretty difficult with life on a canal boat ! Have fun with your lifestyle - and good luck with the curtain poles - I'm sure you will choose something good looking whatever it is ! And thanks for sharing your life with us all ! Best of luck !
They have a mooring and don’t move, other than to get water from the water point. They are able to use the strip out front of the boat as long as they keep the hedges, trees and grass tidy.

I would definitely go with foraged wood! pretty, sustainable and free :)
Wasn’t this video supposed to continue from the last one where you were about to announce your future plans?
Yes thats what I was excited about to see or hear?!

Well done Jack building your log store, looking good.
Didn't notice tooth paste on your lip.
Thanks for sharing part of your life with us.
Take care, stay safe and warm. 😊
Another Scots word for you, is Dreich. It is used to describe grey, gloomy and often we weather.
Three of my favorite people, four if you count Tilly!
You guys are fun to watch

Great vlog. My vote is copper four easy open and closing.
I vote for copper piping.
Fabulous wood storage great job.
Happy Christmas x
Copper piping , you wouldn’t be able to pull them to one side with gnarled wood x
So cozy! Copper piping is good for having a nice slide though you do not have to reach up too high so it wouldn’t matter
Lovely ttto see you . Good on you Gabby making the curtains xx and great log store. Xx
The log store that Jack built!! 😆
I bet the baby’s feet are very cold..no socks..great video!!God bless and stay safe..merry Christmas and happy new year…

Copper piping ❤
Nice job with the log store 👍

If you use wood it has to be super smooth, and even then it will still not slide as nicely as copper or pvc piping.

Ya’ll are so cute….❤

Please film more of the cosy cabin vines!
Great job on the timber storage👍🤗
Hazel rods grow nice and straight and are free! Perfect for curtain poles 👍

Copper piping....we (two people) use 4 tons of wood per winter
Well done with the log store Joe looking adorable has always blessings to you all love from your oldies 🤗🤗🤗🤗
Copper pipes easier to draw and open curtains
Love you guys, I hope I’ll meet you all one day 😊
Love this weeks vlog! Just curious how are the bees doing? 20:19
Thanks for sharing ❤
High of 73 here in N Central Florida
Copper piping will be easier
Could you cover the log holder with a tarp to keep your wood dry??
Do you have to pay for using so much of the tow path and do they come along to check ?🤗
I didn’t notice the toothpaste until you mentioned it. 😅
Why did you take the panels apart? You could’ve put the whole panel on the side to strengthen the log store? Looks great though!
Copper….youll hate trying to slide curtains over rough wood….
M8 be father!! Trees don’t keep a family warm. We have spare room for mother and son
We have a log burner on our boat even in the cold days you have to keep a window open so it dosent get too hot inside 😂 trees do keep families warm
How far away is your allotment?
Stacking fresh wood over there isn't an option?
Why are boaters allowed to block and take up footpath with their junk but if anyone else did it in a house, it would be fly tipping
I was wondering that, whole point of a boat is that it moves not just stationary taking the piss out of a CC license, unless thats a private mooring.
@@mikehurley5052it’s a private mooring!

Without a door and lock on the log storage, doesnt that encourage ppl to kinda pinch your wood? In Australia people would just take.
We also have a saying in the North East for that.."gerrup ye lazy sod". Like the AG1 scum drink....tara.
I like the 'rave' lights. A bit like mine on my Christmas tree - flashing manically every so often ☺️.

I don't get why people make not nice comments
