C'mon man, you can't tease my kids with this link to buy them and when I go to order they are sold out 🤦♂️ lol...Any idea when they will be back in stock?
@@HamsterXFiles engineering like the accurate measurements of the pieces going in it together to show this awesome masterpiece like it's pulled out from the movie.
Revenge of the Fallen may have not had the best dialogue but God damn did they do an amazing job with the redesigns for the transformers we all know and love. Jetfire was always one of the coolest transformers that people never really talked about and seeing him transform with Optimus Prime was amazing to see.
The icing on the cake of this video is the timelapse at the end, and watching Jetfire just sort of dwindle away! While watching this, I kept thinking of the scene in the movie, so seeing Jetfire get smaller and smaller and just sort of... fall over... was very analogous
The love of the original 80s series went into the engineering here, you can feel it. the g1 intricacies that (*most*) of the toys had was exceptional. what happens on screen is not a simple thing to translate into reality - which makes this combiner that much more respectable! kudos to the design team and Thanks Norm for an AMAZING shoot here!
Michael Bay's Transformers get a lot of hate largely for it's story/writing and "action that is hard to tell who is who". But you have to admit, he brought some amazing redesigns for the Autobots and Decepticons. Characters such as Ironhide and Sideswipe were completely different from their G1 designs but it worked for the betteri And those action/fight scenes were worthy of a blockbuster movie. They were all original, unique, and "explosive". Also, the CGI and VFX basically told the film industry "we can create complex CGI for big blockbuster movies. There's no need to be afraid of doing it. We've taken the risks and it's proven it can be done." Lastly, I want to mention how the soundtrack by Steve Jablonsky were beautiful. It seriously creates a lot of hype, emotion, and thrill.
I bought the Optimus prime figure and the figure itself is so amazing. For me this is the most detailed and accurate in an 11 inches plus height figure. I would rate the figure 10/10 and I might buy another one to keep as it is inside the box.
Great transformers tv cartoon show and film this my favourite optimus prime and bumblebee are awesome hero's thanks sir for sharing this wonderful video.
If you get the studio series toys of these characters, along with the DNA Designs upgrade kit to replace some of Jetfire’s more ungainly parts, you can replicate this for much cheaper, PLUS they transform on their own. However this is absolutely awesome and stands up on it’s own merit.
"Me boy, that's not a toy!! It's a piece of art! " my grandpa would say to me. But, he was speaking of his '63 Corvette, split window. Thank you Norm, you have a very nice "toy".😂
You should take a look at some third party transformable figures; some manage to have the detail of a ThreeZero whilst also being totally transformable!
I literally just put my 8 year old to bed after watching the first 2 transformers films for the first time with him and this pops up 👍. Norm is there a video of your collection?
There's something oddly pleasing about the cutting mat backdrop presentation for the "build" portion of the video. Brings to mind one of those obscure, unassuming Japanese Gunpla channels where some guy just pulls off the most batshit brilliant scratchbuilding you've ever seen like it's nothing.
Great video. I will be getting threezero voltron. It can transform/combine. It has the lion leg covers like blitzway. It has more articulation than SOC Voltron. Can't wait.
Jetfire “My father was a wheel, the first wheel! Do you know what he transformed into?” “No…” “Nothing! But he did so with honor!” So his father is one of the most useful Transformers in history. Now we have cars, bicycles, wagons, dollies and airplanes! First of all, wheels can get you from place to place.
@@tested would love to see how they get from reference art to those injection molds. 3D modeling, clay maquettes? What's the process? That level of detail is just fascinating and speaks to some serious artistic focus.
I have their Bee and a Optimus from Bee and my god they are hands down the best figures I have owned. The design details, articulation work the way three zero always push their limits and designs to achieve more than most other companies. Their business ethos shames the likes of hot toys who just pump it out with little to no innovation apparent.
The Blitzwing and Soundwave would def complete your collection ;) Of the four I would say I like the Soundwave the most (even though Optimus is my favorite character), absolutely amazing; bulky and intimidating (and the included transforming Ravage is a huge bonus) he somehow just evokes nostalgia! And I agree, Threezero give you a LOT for your money and even a warranty. And these things are solid, you know they won't deteriorate over time.
Hey! Great work! Can you please let me known how much leg space jetfire optimus prime holds, I'm making a platform for that, wanna know the dimensions. I have optimus, jetfire is pre ordered. So want to know the space in centimetres/inches that jetfire optimus use up.
All that care and talent and creative ingenuity and attention to detail, put into statuettes of Bayformers. Impressive work by ThreeZero, but I'm clearly not their target market.
These made me angry as a kid because I couldn’t complete them. I will never have the patience for these. I will never do this. I am completely okay with that. Good job dude😎
Pretty Impressive. However I found it interesting that you said that the "physics" don't really make it possible for them to transform into "vehicles". I say interesting because Hasbro didn't seem to have a problem doing that and that was back in the 80s. You'd think with all the tools we have today that this company could have managed that as well.
The issue is more the Physics of the Designs as Shown in the Movies, The parts simply can't be manipulated and connected the way they are in the CG, (I can't find the reference, but i believe they even do some part scaling, shrinking/growing during the transformation process.) So it's not that they can't make toys that can transform from those robots to vehicles, It's more that they can't make them so so while maintaining the same detailed, screen matching aesthetic.
The G1 toys and designs were far, far less complex than these designs, and far less complex than modern renditions of G1 designs. The movie leader class Optimus Prime toy that was released in 2009 was a masterpiece of transforming toy engineering, but Jetfire had to fit a robot into the incredibly thin SR-71 plane. It's basically impossible without CG magic or making a toy that is incredibly impractical.
I’m beginning to think those chinese third party dishing out unlicensed, yet impressive mecha figures hire people like this fellow to design their toys.
I have the original ldr class of these 2 and they are msv when combined they look amazing but this is on a different lvl mine cost 70$ ea when they were new im curious wtf this beast costs
I got mine in yesterday and am struggling with that grille magnet part on his chest, the guide isn't very good at demonstrating how the 2 pieces connect and then magnetize to his chest piece, you gave a solid video to point me in the right direction, appreciate you!
I already have this Prime (and also him from Bumblebee movie and also Bee) and would love to sacrifice Jetfire to build this, but I have 5 detolfs setup on a riser and I don't know if it would fit. I really don't want to change shelfheights. Anyone maybe have legit info on the fit? Thank you!

Third party transformers toys are much better that this. Check out BMB Optimus prime, its full of details and can also transform into truck mode.
the replies to this comment suck idk why people insist on being so bitter
The Bayformers designs are amazing, Josh Nizzi really outdid himself bringing the Transformers concept to life perfectly
Nizzi just did few of them
My favorite is Last Knight Megatron

Ehhh, not really. To each their own, I suppose, but the Bayverse Transformers designs are was too complicated and busy, especially their faces.
