Acı gerçekleri yüzüme çarpan can dost gibiydi Ve hep aydınlattı zihnimi Ve şimdi burda duyunca içim bir garip oldu. O günler geldi aklıma. İnanılmaz birşey şu beyin denen nimet. Zihin denen yapı insana neler neler ediyor iyi veya kötü sen farkına bile varmadan uçarsın kanatsız kuş gibi atar seni ordan oraya..👏işte böyle güzel derin bir müzik bu. Tınılarına melodisine hayranım, bayılıyorum ellerin dert görmesin m. jarre🌹
I remember in '76 grabbing this album, something about the cover grabbed me and took it home and played it loud as hell and I'll never forget the look on my guests faces. For me this led to all things techno like William Orbit, Giorgio Moroder to todays Moby...great stuff.
I always imagine my father listening this on his tape deck with big boxes in the living room. He was usually listening load. Must have been incredible in 1976. It must have blown him away. Most probably, I was was listening to this music as a baby with him, too. RIP ❤️. Beautiful.
So true. And with today's advances in tech - there is nothing that even comes close to surpassing the originality and sheer beauty of this ancient synthesizer music. There was speculation that musicality would advance, along with technology, to the point that endorphins would be released aka people getting a buzz from advanced music. So not the case. I think tech is breeding a bunch of lazy musicians that cut and paste annoying patterns. There are a few brilliant ones here and there, but not like Jarre.
I'm so much in love with this music. It's like the voice of stars and heaven, speaking to us through Jarre. It's simply magic. So grateful for this masterpiece. Can't stop listening to!
Gracias Jean Michel, sos un genio musical, aunque a veces me pregunto si no has recibido asesoría extraterrestre.
I remember hearing this track in Social Studies class in eighth grade. THe way that came about was that our teacher was discussing the atomic bombing of Hiroshima since it had come around to the fiftieth anniversary of the attack and so she'd rented what she thought was a video documentary about it. THis track was featured in the opening. We didn't get very far into it because she said the music was going to drive her crazy. Only after she removed the tape from the VCR did she realize she'd rented a different movie than what she'd intended. I never did find out what it was but this music track stuck in my head. Not long after that, probably no more than a month later, I realized that this very track is also featured in one or two of the narration segments of the BBC's radio play of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. It wasn't until a few years later, my Junior year of High School I believe, that I heard the entire Oxygene suite during a Creative Writing class and finally discovered where this seemingly elusive music track came from. It wasn't until many years later, 2008 to be exact, that I purchased both Oxygene and Equinoxe on CD from Amazon.
February 2021 this song still rocks sounds AMAZING, this was the begining of electronic music and Jean was the creator of it !!! Thank you man and god bless you !!!
I bowed in awe when the LP came out. (I was 15 years old then)... ...and I still bow to this day, 46 years later, since the publication in 1976 (you have to imagine that...!!!). In 2022, this track, its sounds, just *all* of it feels like it's a recent piece of electronic music. And now imagine ("Youngster") how that hit 1976 - because at that time there was nothing comparable in the music world... Back then, hardly anyone had heard of sequencers, samplers, envelopes, envelope curves and all the other components that the *pioneer* of this genre experimented with like no one else at the time, let alone knew what all of this was all about. I call myself a fan of electronic music from the very beginning and was already into it when the first bands "garnished" individual pieces with a noise called "white noise". The best way to explain these first steps is as follows: Take the most primitive of all computer games, namely the legendary _"Pong"_ by Atari (just google it) - the forefather of all subsequent computer games - and compare its "variety" and graphics with today's war games and the like. on high-performance gaming PCs, then you have a rough idea of how "primitive" that was. In the hit _"Silvermachine"_ by the band Hawkwind, for example, this noise runs through the entire piece (at different "heights") - and that's it (apart from the intro) but that's about it. And then along came Jean Michelle Jarre... With _"Shine On You Crazy Diamond"_ by Pink Floyd, this "original synthesizer noise" even achieved world fame and suddenly came across as an intro in an unexpectedly bombastic way (you know how - and where...). ruclips.net/video/8UXircX3VdM/видео.html (from 13:18)
In the 70s there was actually a lot of great electronic music: Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schultze, Edgar Froese, Giorgio Moroder, and of course Kraftwerk. All from the 70s.
Jean Michel Jarre for ever. 😎☝️

Gezerken vitrinlere bakarken birden bu Müziği Gaipten ses duyar gibi duyduğumda içim kıpır kıpır hipnotize olmuşcasına oraya doğru hızla koşmaya başladım hani aşıkların kavuşması misali ve direk abi bu çalan müzik kaseti kimin verirmisiniz dediğimi hatırlıyorum. Çocuklar gibi sevinmiştim kaseti aldığımda. Eve gittiğimde saatlerce ben diyim 5 siz diyin 8-10saat bu müziği dinleyerek vakit geçirdim. Ve sonraki gün ve günlerce yıllar yılı hep severek dinledim. Hayaller ülkesinde seyahat gibiydi bu müzik.

Never seems to age, still a brilliant piece of music that sounds fresh to this day.
i absolutely agree with You ;-)
There are a few brilliant ones here and there, but not like Jarre.
you are a lazy listener , who never wondered about the possibilty to do a research .

Gracias Jean Michel, sos un genio musical, aunque a veces me pregunto si no has recibido asesoría extraterrestre.

Music is timeless
COMPLETAMENTE DE ACUERDO AÑOS 2000..1....2.........ECT............A LA ETERNIDAD
It does. I’ve just come back in time to let you know.
Is it possible she'd accidentally grabbed Peter Weir's 1981 film "Gallipoli"?
@@robertgeddes5417 I wouldn’t know, I’ve never actually seen that movie, but it is certainly possible.

The best way to explain these first steps is as follows:
Take the most primitive of all computer games, namely the legendary _"Pong"_ by Atari (just google it) - the forefather of all subsequent computer games - and compare its "variety" and graphics with today's war games and the like. on high-performance gaming PCs, then you have a rough idea of how "primitive" that was.

In the 70s there was actually a lot of great electronic music: Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schultze, Edgar Froese, Giorgio Moroder, and of course Kraftwerk. All from the 70s.
