Thanks for all your feedback and help, Ivan! Couldn’t have done it without ya. That PAS is def the most time we’ve spent on refining the pedaling feel, we don’t pedal much out here in California 😂
It was with the help of the NYC Zooz community that we had all that actionable feedback. I know it was a ton of work for yall and we appreciate it! If you watch any of our rides you see how much our guys actually pedal and how much we enjoy it. Though I’m definitely looking forward to throttling out with y’all when I visit in November! Thank you again, yall killed it 👊🏽👊🏽
Thanks for joining us for the video! Hahahaha yea man, these damn NYC potholes are so jarring when you don’t expect them that they completely knock you off your train of thought 😂😂😂. That’s what makes recording these type of “riding style” overviews videos really difficult. Next thing you know you got the wind knocked out of you 🥹
*Video quality look as clean and fresh as that freshly peeled display!* 🤙🏽⚡️🤟🏽⚡️👌🏽 How you findin the TSG Pass 2.0? I love my neon 1.0 and considerin the olive colour 2.0. Can't remember if I asked already 😂 That Zooz frame still has that brand new shine 👌🏽
Thanks homie! Appreciate the feedback. I feel like I’m finally dialing in the settings on the x4 because Im a little slow 😂. I like everything about the 2.0 more. The build quality, it’s quieter in the helmet, and it feels much more robust. However, since it wears heavier (between the 1.0 and a motohelmet) and it’s more snug, I find my self still wearing the 1.0 more than this one 😂. I hope that changes as the helmet padding breaks in. My biggest wish was they would do those neon colorways for the 2.0 so I ended up with the gold as the next best thing!
I tried to fix the comment i made asking you about the mirrors , but for some odd reason YT is coming back a Returned Error ...SO I found your link below for the mirrors , I guess I should have looked before i asked you . But thanx anyway !
Thanks for the heads up George and welcome to the channel! RUclips has been really glitchy recently. Those mirrors are awesome for generic aluminum cnc mirrors found on Amazon lol. Great visibility, minimal distortion, and is quite compact on the bars.
Sounds like the bugs are all worked out, and big improvements made after feedback. I have a question though - with the flash updates was it still necessary to get a new unit? Or just that prototyping gives it some abuse and you wanted to start fresh?
Thanks for watching! They definitely got all the bugs out and it rides like a dream. Maybe you could do an updated video of it when we have the time to do a bike swap! I ended up picking up a new controller because some oo the features that came with the OTA flash updates didn’t work well with the controller and or caused bugs like the phantom acceleration. There were things missing from the prototype that made it lose some of the functionality.
That 'slippage' you mentioned, yeah thats all my motor does anymore after i installed this. Really sad this didn't work out for me. Now i need a new motor :-(
Oh man sorry to hear about that. Did the motor get overpowered in mode 3? I know the @handlworks team is working hard to support everyone that’s getting the controller for the first time along with existing users. Have you reached out to info@Handlworks yet? Reason I ask is the community feedback really helps them dial in the tuning. I thought that we at the NYC zooz community did a good job to help get the controller off the ground but it seems that there were things that we missed. That’s pretty crazy because I’ve put about 650 miles with the prototype controller that was untuned (including heavy abuse from everyone that tested the bike) and now I have 50 miles on production version of the controller that you see in the video. All in, I have 700 miles on the BAC855 and 156 miles from the stock controller. So the motor has 856+ miles on it now.
@@eyebahnrides yes working with both zooz and handlworks. Sounds like it is not an isolated incident for me and my uu750. (Or my wife’s as it turns out 🤣) I feel confident I will get her back on the bike path but will need to do some repairs first
I think one of the main problems was the PAS in modes 2&3…it was kicking on and off way too strong. If there is a way I can dial it down that would help…what I would really like Is for the controller to match the stock 5 settings but to be able to just increase the top speed.
@@kenable I’m happy to hear that a solution is on the way with Handlworks and Zooz. I’m also happy to hear that Zooz is almost up and running again because I need some parts as well 🙏🏼. If you tell Harrison and his engineers the tuning you’re looking for I’m sure they can get you some settings you can flash over or they can guide you to tune down the acceleration. The good news is, you can probably get a little more top end speed if you tune down the acceleration! But that’s assuming you need more than 33-35mph which is terrifying on the Zooz bikes 😂
Doing a top speed and acceleration tests should be done on a fresh battery charge imo. Then continue the rest of the review as it's not as dependant on the battery charge%
Thanks for joining us on the first ride for the new controller! You’re absolutely correct, I just wish my commute could make that possible but I wanted to dedicate as much time as I could to each of the modes to get a real feel for it. I just wouldn’t have the opportunity to open it up on the Queens portion of the ride and it’d be tough to keep up with traffic in class 2 mode in the city. Maybe I’ll do a follow up speed run in the next couple of weeks Thanks for the input!
thanks for joining us for this review and welcome to the channel Christopher! Apologies for the delayed response, I'm finally catching up with RUclips after a few crazy weeks along with the Electrify Expo stuff. I'm not a huge fan of twist throttles on a bike like this so I'm actually using a trigger style throttle. It's the same one that I've used on my Namis. The top speed on the bike before the controller upgrade was 25mph. After the controller upgrade it's around 33-35mph. However, it's rare that I'm going that fast on this bike because I don't think a bike like this is is meant for that kind of riding. I really like the acceleration that the Handlworks controller gives in the mid range and I will generally cruise around 20-30mph. Occasionally, I'll open it up if I'm forced to ride with cars on a high speed blvd
Thanks for watching and welcome to the channel Dave! I use an insta360 x4 as my primary camera and I have a Purple Panda Lav Mic plugged directly into the camera via the adapter. Info for it is in the description if you want to check it out
Thanks for joining us for the first ride with the actual BAC855! I appreciate the question, just keep in mind that the answer to this is not as straightforward as you would think. There are alot of factors that can drastically skew the numbers one way or another. With that said my response below is based on the fact that I’m a 200+lb rider navigating an urban environment. Doing my everyday commute I can charge approximately every other day to every 3 days depending on how aggressively I’m riding. That would mean the range with the 48v 16ah stock battery is about 30 miles. With the stock controller, I got about 35 miles. That means I have a 15% reduction in range in exchange for getting a huge boost in performance. I hope this helps 👍🏼

We had to make a wiring change between the proto and the final. All flashes will be built to the final wiring so everything should be compatible!

Hello sir,
Would you ever consider putting a 52v in combination of bac855.
I wanna do that

Between zooz and super73 which one do you like more?
I like the Super more from a comfort and modification standpoint and I like the Zooz as light weight incognito bike for short rides
