We set out to explore the island, hopping on a charming tourist train that winds through the main town. 🚂🏙️ Here, we visit the magnificent orthodox Cathedral of Saint James and Saint Christopher, marveling at its architecture and serene beauty. ⛪✨
The real adventure kicks off with a thrilling day trip in a rented open-roof old-style Jeep. 🚙💨 Our journey takes us to the stunning Xigia sulfur beach, where we are greeted by pristine white sand and crystal-clear blue waters. 🏖️💎 We swim, relax, and take in the natural beauty around us.
Next, we venture to the famous Zakynthos blue caves. 🌊🌀 From the top of the cliffs, we admire the mesmerizing shades of blue, then head down to the water for a refreshing swim and some exhilarating jumps off the rocky boards. 🤿🏞️
Our Jeep ride is filled with music and laughter as we party our way to the iconic Paralia Navagio shipwreck beach viewpoint. 🚙🎉 The panoramic view from the top is nothing short of spectacular. We then head to Porto Roxa beach for a well-deserved drink, enjoying the laid-back atmosphere. 🍹🏝️
As the day draws to a close, we drive to the picturesque Myzithres to witness a breathtaking sunset, the sky ablaze with colors of gold and pink. 🌅🎨 Our evenings are spent in the vibrant bars of Tsilivi, singing karaoke and making memories that will last a lifetime. 🎤🍻
The week wraps up with a final glimpse of Zakynthos from the window of our departing plane, leaving us with a sense of awe and gratitude for this incredible journey. 🛫🌍
