After almost half a year, I am finally back at making perfect score on a custom level as I was mostly uploading speedruns and boss-fight shorts few months ago. This time I chose the level Nothing There which was eventually and recently updated by wisztom to v1.1 which mostly involves revisions but also includes nice improvements in difficulty compared to older version especially few pixel perfect jumps, quite buggy conveyors were remade and morover there's an aiding light at the pulley pegs which are really useful to judge the time it would be standable or not. The lightings resemble that of traffic lights but in a very miniature version on the pulley itself. But the coolest and at the same time scariest feature added would be the artillery ambush which is nothing but a rain of cannon balls out of nowhere and they are really dangerous while facing as a whole. But the trick to dodge them is by hiding beside a wall or being in a pit depending on the direction of fall of the cannon ball rain. The main reason why I didn't try the level earlier was a jump which was impossible for me to reach without cheats but it was updated in v1.1 and hence perfect is now achievable.
About the level, it's actually straightforward except for mazy places but the front and back planes might confuse but actually they are really managed well by the author in an aesthetic way. There are plenty of catnip secrets and warps throughout the level with plenty of variations and innovative challenges which includes the amazing gold factory arenas as well. Another icing on the cake would be the Red Tail statue. Probably the only hard place would be one of the long warps which include multiple challenges with elevators and pulley pegs. Other secrets are pretty simpler. But ofc taking perfect is indeed a challenge since there are lot of trickily hidden secrets especially the one with a crown and four sceptors. Also this level requires lot of consistency from player as the level constantly features challenges and hence even one fail could abruptly break the flow.
Altogether a moderately hard level but very interesting, innovative and aesthetic one and obviously a very diverse one such that even it's an often prefered level for multiplayer games in the community.
