There is a more down to earth version of Scientology which aren’t legitimised since they don’t use it as a way force beliefs or gain money, the real church of Scientology hates them for it
they pulled me in with an IQ test and tried to initiate me with a dinner and some type of movie screening, my mom immediately was like ok… this Is really weird. when we declined they kept pushing and we booked it. ever since they’ve been calling and sending mail to my residence (i’ve moved several times)…. it’s been 5+ years. i’ve had phone calls straight up cursing them out WITH my parents and they act so dumb, like they’re not stalking and harassing. they called me last week for the first time in a long time, seeing this video sent chills down my spine.
Omg their persistence is total harassment! Why would they think that you would feel open to them when they are so forceful.They do not take no for an answer, its insane. I'm so sorry for your experience with them.
Yeah that doesn't happen. Thats well into criminal harassment and lawsuit territory and they aren't that stupid

@@Anonymous30174of course, its absolutely terrifying! I think I worded myself a bit wrong.. I don’t find the cults themselves fascinating, but rather the way a humans mind can be tricked into doing and thinking anything.. I recently watched the Netflix series “how to be a cult leader”, and it explains the whole process of the way cult leaders gain their power over a persons mindset.. it’s really crazy and very scary.. I hope you understand what I mean, and that I didn’t hurt anyone by writing this.. No one deserves to go trough such a traumatic experience..

It’s absolutely bonkers how cults mimic people who are super super religious. Or maybe religious hardcores are the ones mimicking the cults. Cults are taboo but super duper hardcore religious people are praised for being devout. Not supporting cults, just saying that people forcing organized religion down your throats are basically a cult too. 😭

Amazing. I haven't heard of Scientolgy in a decade, creepy that is still working. I remember the parody in GTA of the Epsilon Program and pretty much is the same.
I think about scientology sometimes because I live in CA and see them regularly. but also because I skateboard and there are unfortunately several rich skateboarders who are scientologist rubes so I stopped buying their brands of skateboards and hardware. scientologists have fleeced people in the skateboarding industry for hundreds of thousands if not millions when you include the free marketing they've done for scientology..

I honestly had to really control myself - your experience with scientology doesnt seem THAT bad (to be 100% rwal, at times i though you were still a member and trying to downplay), but at the same time you hint at all these horrible things and we all have heard of what happens, esp. shelly and leah.
your experiences you keot a bit on the down low, which i understand for privacy reasons, but it would be so interesting to hear more about how school was, but most importantly about how people treated you after you left. but if that is too personal, i completely understand.

Some members of my family were more into Scientology than i was, such as actually working for them. Although i went to the school i always kept a bit of a distance not getting too close to the people there so maybe thats why it doesnt seem so bad. Thanks for watching!
from a paedagogic standpoint, a lot of the stuff you described from the school is unusual, but definitely not per se bad, which definitely helps, too.

What was it like for you to leave? To leave your community, friends, and some family members? What was it like starting a new life? Did you ever want to go back and warn more people?
Only a small number of my family was actually involved and we are all out of it now, and honestly i didn't get too close to the people there so it didn't have a huge effect on my life when I left and I didn't meet anyone that was apart of Scientology after. Thanks for watching :)

Religions are all cults, groups of people with beliefs that are literally not true, wrecking lives with it, fear mongering with stupid ideologies fueled by mysogony and homophobia and abuse, led by higher ups ( especially the muslim country leaders ) to create dystopia and control
@@coltrv yeah i’ve done so much charitable work in my community through my church, we’ve worked to get so many people jobs and food on their table. Far from cult status, but any religion can be cult like. Mormonism is just the most popular amongst them.

I disagree with reducing Scientology to absurdity. Many of its themes have parallels to other religions and psychoanalysis. I haven’t seen any serious critique of the religion besides it’s internal practices which regard money, among other cult-like accusations which tend to be true.
