They played it perfectly until the puck got loose ONCE and a few seconds later it was in the back of their net. I have been watching hockey a long time and these two are legitimately as lethal a duo as I have ever seen.

That strategy makes perfect sense in 3v3 OT when puck possession is key. Just because it didn't work here doesn't mean it wouldn't normally work. Just look at what happened once McDavid has the puck in a 3v3 game. I don't get why some Blues fans are so fking dumb.

He’s the best player in the league but you still play to win. Not defend not to lose. I’d rather see him beat us in OT like he did where we were pressing the attack than to sit back and in the end he still beats you. We’re a better team than that.
I just love my team and it’s been an amazing season of super highs and super lows but they got back together and did what they had to do so we could get out of that funk! I gotta say aside from the top 2 players in the world on our team, Kane was an absolutely phenomenal addition to our second line! No regrets!

If they were even average at the 3v3 and shootout, they'd have 6 more points. At least they won't have to deal with that setup postseason. Need to get some others aspects of their game figured out before then too.
