I sprayed Soft on one hand and Empire Victor on the other and Soft is definitely more “lemony” at first. Once they dry down, Empire goes more vanilla and Soft settles as a creamy lemon vibe. I like layering them.

They are not blind buy safe but you have to try them! The quality of the raw materials, especially in Amber Saffron, is crazy! The most potent and beautiful saffron, an amazing Oud (I thing it’s Indian Oud, so slightly barnyardy), what a bomb in the beginning! I think it have some mint essential oil cause I feel cold where I spray it… I was astonished by both of them!
I'd like to see what Amina says about the dry downs since, I think, she's smelling at first spray. I wonder if her opinion would change or if she'd surprised.
I just bought Amethyst by Lattafa after watching this! I've been on the fence with it for a long time (I've never smelled it, so it's a blind buy for me). Amethyst is a perfume that needs maceration to fully appreciate and love it. The very first perfume that I didnt like the first time I smelled but after maceration, it is a gem for me especially in cold weather.

Hey my beautiful angel Sim, and hey lovely Amara, how I love this video, loved the first one and loved the childhood treats video by Amina and love this one. I was so waiting for a few of these perfumes , like my beloved Afnan Rare Passion , I so love this perfume but to me it somehow smells warm and all the wonderful things that Sim mentions. True love. Of course Lamsat Harir Arabiyat perfume is such a favourite and I only bought this one because of Sim's review as I feel most of the purchases were 😂 , yep, you made it popular and for good reasons, have not come across someone not liking this one. Mohra Silky Rose is another one I bought because of Sim and I love it. I wish I could buy Passion Di Night in Oz. Gerry bought me Zukhruf Cherry Zimaya as he knew I loved cherry notes and this one hits the spot for me and was on sale and so much cheaper than other cherry scents. I love Maraschino Cherries so much, the scent and to eat, I feel like you do Sim 😍. I actually layered that perfume with a few of my other favourite scents and it worked a treat ( even with Mystery Rose) . Now let's get to my huge big love AMETHYST, which is one of the top 3 ever scents. Now here comes one of my long comments and a memory about wearing this and what friends said. 🤣 Are you ready? Well , when I wore it people would come up to me and ask what I was wearing and how incredible I smelled and how it suited me ( I was wearing purple and gold ) 🤣 and a few old friends said this perfume was so me and it reminded them of the first time they ever met me. I thought about this and later asked my oldest friend Mel ( she was my pen pal for 4 months before I arrived in Tasmania and we went to school together, her Mum was a friend of my step dad and still is such a darling) , what they meant by this, as I was 14 and 8 months young and I felt surely this was a bit strange. Mel said, the first time she met me I was wearing a ruby coloured leather coat and long over the knee black leather boots and a silky purple and gold scarf. She said she thought I was meant to be her age and yet I looked like 18 or so, so sophisticated and fashionable and exotic and like no one in Tasmania. I smelled so nice. ( I stole one of my Mum's perfume, I remember that, either Mitsouko or Shalimar. She said she was at first intimidated but because I was so warm and bubbly, she was soon relaxing. But she said she had to assure my class mates that I was nice despite appearing like a fashionable princess from another world ( her words) .Going to school here was a huge culture shock for me, I was used to calling teachers by first names, being part of a school with boys and girls, wearing what I want ( perfume , jewellery, make up etc) and such freedom. Here I had to go to a all girls school, wear a brown uniform, no jewellery, no perfume, no colours etc. I was a very polite rebel, who of course broke those rules all throughout my time at the school and yet I was popular with the teachers. I remember my thoughts when I arrived, I would always stay true to myself, I would adept and be part of any community but I would be myself. I am glad I had this strength at such a young age, as some pretty bad tragedies occurred over the next 1 and 3/4 years , my Mum totally relied on me and I only got through this by being much more mature and strong. But the strange thing was, I had never realized I had made that sort of impression on people and especially my peers. I sometimes run into people and they remember me from school and say things like " I still remember your incredible red leather coat and your look " or so and I never thought this was something that would be remembered. I knew that I was outgoing and loved talking to people and could be pretty intense or passionate about things I love and not back down but the red coat lives on 😅😂. Yes, I still have it as I did love it so much and I wore it occasionally for a long time as it had so many memories. But watching this today , talking about Amethyst and what it smells like, I remembered when I wore it and what old friends said. I think I wear Amethyst because I love it so much, I had to go and spray it after I watched 😂this video . I realized that sometimes I wear it when I feel I need an amour , or need to feel strong or need some sort of protection. But most of the time I wear it BECAUSE I LOVE AMETHYST SO MUCH and it does make me feel so good, it gives me strength and some sort of protection. Gerry loves me wearing this perfume. OK, rest your tired eyes, that was my novella comment for this month 😅. But I wanted to share this story. I wish you both a wonderful weekend, we have a long Australia Day weekend and I love those. It will be 34 on Monday and Tuesday we will celebrate my birthday and Gerry has taken the day off so we can go out. It's through RUclips that I've found out that others pronounce it as "li-chi". Also, in Fragrantica, the spelling sometimes is "litchi". Based on the dictionary app I have, "lai-chi" pronunciation from the Philippines and UK, while "li-chi" pronuncation is from US.

Ooohhh I didn’t know you don’t get the lemon in Empire Victor! How interesting! I do get the lemon note esp. in the opening. The first time I smelt it, it vaguely reminded me of Lira from Xerjoff, but Lira is more lemon cake forward, whereas Empire Victor is more Vanilla forward imo. The 3 for Shaghaf oud tonka thoughh 😭💔but I love how honest she is! And the name psychedelic perfume suits that bottle so much 😆😆😆

Ooohhh I didn’t know you don’t get the lemon in Empire Victor! How interesting! I do get the lemon note esp. in the opening. The first time I smelt it, it vaguely reminded me of Lira from Xerjoff, but Lira is more lemon cake forward, whereas Empire Victor is more Vanilla forward imo.
The 3 for Shaghaf oud tonka thoughh 😭💔but I love how honest she is! And the name psychedelic perfume suits that bottle so much 😆😆😆
