I don't think that it aims for the multiplayer mode here. Most likely we will have some companions to help or maybe even protect us from other people/monsters, which would be awesome since the main character probably won't give us the satisfaction to fight back our pursuers (although I hope that we can to some extent, like maybe outsmarting and tricking a bigger opponent into his death..) I can only hope for the best! And it also looks like we might not need the camera anymore.... And judging by the fact that it takes place during the Cold War, our character might (I'm using this word a lot, I know) be a soldier.......

Morin also described the multiplayer as "...flexible, so that people can play it in any way they want" and noted that the co-op mode will have segments where players will find themselves separated from one another: "Stuff will happen, shit will hit the fan and soon you may find yourself separated from the group."
This game takes place in the Cold War interesting setting so this proves that the horrors of the outlast series been going for a long time I have some lore to think about

If the developers doesn't go that way with timeline then it must be a secret undected way to test the project. Anthony Walker it’s a long explanation but if you look it up the story is explained . Pretty much the whole town in Outlast 2 was an experiment from Murrcoff like in the first game. That bright beam in the sky was them causing the people of the town to have hallucinations and dream like stages which caused them to go crazy about the whole anti christ thing. The religious part of the game was all a hallucination. If you watch videos they also explain why you have the school hallucinations and how Lynn’s baby wasn’t even real and it was a phantom baby like was said in a document in the whistleblower Dlc. It sounds confusing but I recommend everyone that’s played that game to watch a vid about the ending explanation.
That music being played at the background while they were doing the torturing was really disturbing but nonetheless makes me hyped up to play this game.

I have such a love hate relationship with the Outlast games. The scares, the brutality, the heaviest atmosphere ever in gaming, it's so unnerving yet immersive and overall well done. I'm talking about watching, of course. I could never play these games.
