One of my main "problems", is that I tend to either come up with new ideas, that I want to partake, which leaves the other project on hold, and what is damaging is that if too much time has passed, it feels estranged to me as the momentum and vibe has been lost, or it has suddenly begun to bore me, that I need to do something else. On the positive front I tend to start anew with similar ideas, if the base idea still interests me. Happy to see you are implementing ideas, we have talked about over the years.
Yes! I get this too. Much less then before though. I think the positive of this is that.. we will still learn through that experience, whether its new ways of approaching writing, or something else. I hope you're able to find something sustainable for yourself. I feel blessed to have kept the momentum for so long with this rather ambitious project I was working on but... >_> For me, my struggle is the realisation that it will take me a quarter of my life to finish lmao.. alongside new ideas I guess. There is too many wants and not nearly enough time to pursue them all it seems
@@aeryma So true, Aeryma. It's all part of learning and isn't lost. I hope so too. A life long project is nothing to scuff at, haha. So happy to hear you are happily grinding your ambitious project. You are doing the hard yards. One day, you will realise you finished it and maybe be a bit sad it is over :).
Ur so underrated omg😭😭 I have ocs and im trying to motivate myself to either make a game or comic w them but I also feel I have to consistently post animations on social media so I end up trying to balance that 💔💔
@Firelava88. Completely understand your struggles lol. Its hard to balance multiple things. It might be easier to narrow it down (but it is hard to do) Though, you can try making really short form comics at first to trial it out, so you don't have to give up the other stuff
month-long art challenges and insertshiphere week prompts my beloved even though theyre hell to find and pick on tumblr when i should be making my own prompts and using them
@JeffJeffingson._. yeah, that's a common problem. I think when the ideas are smaller it's a bit easier to finish, or else we get bored or side tracked. You can try to set goals for the week on whatever you want to finish, maybe it'll help
@aeryma most of my ideas are pretty small, so i think "oh I should plan another one for after I finish this one since it's so small!" Then I go on that loop lol. I will try setting up weekly goals and just do one at a time =w=
@JeffJeffingson._. lol, well tbf some people do multitask since it can get repetitive staring at the same thing? I guess it can also be a matter of preference. E.g illustrators might need to step away and come back to see their painting with fresh eyes 🤔 🤷♀️ but good luck with it >->
I tend to emphasise SMALL projects, because I really believe we can shoot ourselves in the foot for making things too out of reach. That said, if you have a vision for yourself and that idea, theres nothing wrong with testing the waters. Making smaller achievable goals to get there is something you can do. I was about to write the same, Aeryma, a very important point.
