I was using the late tier food, mead, fried pumpkin ring, fried tacos, etc. and I was using the fogfrog iron set in this attempt. with mechanical legendary hammer I think the biggest difference I saw against the ape was when I respecced my attributes to benefit hammer damage. I also did not know about copying tribesman stats to the main character at this point in the game
