Doom Scene: Sarge Vs Reaper Fighting Scene the movie is the rightful people who made it. Yea this is the scene where the Rock and Karl Urban face off with each other
would not call it honorable,he was without a weapons vs a guy with a weapon hence he simply convinced the guy with a weapon to go unarmed to get an upper hand due to his superior physique. :)
@@r3l1csvk, no, I wasn't calling you a girl. It's a quote from Jurassic Park. When one raptor ambushes and surprises a character, he calls it clever girl. Here is a short video: ruclips.net/video/YhwlBVk4qUA/видео.html
"SPOILER* I loved the plot twist of The Rock being the bad guy. No one expected it the first time in cinemas. It was great, only after the first person scene did everyone go "oh shit, Carl Urban looks just like the guy in the game".
+Yellow 13 They did a spin and twist to it u can consider this doom because it did have doom stuff and takes place after doom because the gates of hell supposedly reopen
What are you talking about? you do realise that the scientists had no idea what the fuck were those things and where they come from .. pretty sure its left ambigous to the fact that they come from Hell ..
The Doom movie gets a lot of backlash but it honestly doesn't deserve all the negativity because there are a lot of great things about this movie, The fight choreography is great, The acting is actually really good and visually it's good. It may not stick to all the source material but as a movie I really enjoyed it. I'm always ok with a story change as long as they stick to what makes the characters likable even though in this case Doom as a franchise made very little emphasis on character delevelopment and leaned more towards gameplay which works for them.
***** Yeah man I get ya, I mean Doom does have a good over all story for something that doesn't make huge emphasis on it which is actually a good thing. Doom has great potential to expand the story if it really wanted to but in saying all that I always find the series had great replay value just cause the games are so much fun and satisfying to play even if the story isn't a major part of it. I think its a fact that people always knock movie adaptions no matter how good or bad they are which is a shame cause many games have great movie script material if done well enough. I mean look at the first Mortal Kombat movie, it paid a lot of attention to the source material which is great and the movie was over all very good for something that was adapted from a video game. Actually now what we are talking about Doom, did you get the one yet? I got my hands on it and I have to say it is an amazing game. The campaign mode is a lot of fun which I won't spoil in case you haven't gotten around to playing it haha =)
this fight is actually really fun. Here's the thing though, this is Doom, i didn't come to see guys fighting each other, I came to see a guy killing demons!
You know if a team of marines were unexpectedly thrust into a demon hell hole and every single one of them died and turned into demons, I would expect a fight to occur
Personally i don't think that this movie deserved so much hate. Yes its hardly have any connection with the games but still... The original Resident Evil movie also wasn't close to the games, it even missed all the original characters, but it was pretty damn good.
What I really enjoyed most was how during the fight Rock used some of his wrestling abilities and the way he threw Reaper around a few times with his super strength
I wish this movie would've ended with a fight against the Hell Knight, instead. But when you think about it, the fight between Sarge and Reaper is pretty much a multiplayer Deathmatch.
shschesschamp why do people always act like they just know theirs gonna be a sequel, which there isnt gonna be obviously, its been 10 years since this movie and it doesnt say anywhere that theres gonna be a sequel, even in the movie wiki on wikipedia
i remember being ten years old watching this movie and the mutated Asher scared the shit out of me. he looks kind of scary but the main thing that got me i think was probably how utterly doomed anyone who had to fight him was.
i dont understand all the hate for this movie.you cant make the legit doom story a movie one its way to long and there's a ton of exposition you find throughout the game you cant fit that into a movie you'd be lucky to just get the fights let along the story.so story abridged and revised is as follows. ancient civilization escapes an evil on mars to start over on earth.modern humanity goes back to mars not knowing its past and awakens the evil.marines battle the evil before it can reach earth and destroy the human race.as it goes it was pretty spot on yes it wasn't "HELL" but the implication is that this is what spawned the story of hell and demons and the evil of the human soul.its not perfect but its one of the better video game movies and for fuck sake im so happy it wasnt uwe boll that directed it.
Despite the fact that the movie as a whole is not that great, still really liked it, especially this fight scene and what it was about, a Super Human vs a Super Mutant.
They should continue to make this movie! I dont care if its a reboot or a sequel. Everybody knows this is a good movie. Karl Urban act better in this movie then star trek.
+Kylo Maximus Unless you didn't know what DOOM was when you watched, like me. If you don't go into it expecting demons and shit, than it is its own movie that can stand on its own. To be honest, it can be seen as a reboot, but just look at it as an alternate story mode because it is good if you're not looking for nostalgia.
I've been a fan of this franchise or whatever Doom is, since I first saw it on the SNES and then PC when I was 6 years old..So after like 10 years or so of being into Doom.. considering it was my childhood, you know.. when I saw the trailer for this movie I was really excited..I think I was like 16 or 17 when I saw this in theaters with my brother who is a year younger than me..But yea, Being really into Doom & seeing all the differences from the game.. I still clapped at the end and it promoted a couple other people to do the same. I've always liked this movie and wish they made a sequel that had more Hell or hellish universe and demon types. They should have continued the plan, made the sequel regardless how this film did in the box office or whatever and then it would have made this one a heck of a lot better for the noobs that don't understand what Carmack has been saying for years about the Doom storyline. Doom is supposed to be taken out of context. It's supposed to be very general and represent the human race dooming themselves always in a similar fashion..A massive corporate entity collapsing on itself because technology has gotten out of its control..Zombies of evil force & monsters...Everyone dies and It's ultimately up to one guy to finish the job & save the day..And damn it....They were setting it all up for a perfect second film alley-oop ..like I said...really the only thing that disappoints me about this film and has for years..is the fact they didn't make a second one..It just leaves you wondering what the sequel would have been like..They easily could have thrown in a Space marine suit..more demons, guns, Sarge returns as Sabaoth or whatever some other demon, Etc...Also for the record I honestly don't think I've ever seen better acting in a horror movie of this nature and Doom has some of the best practical effects & Non CGI monster costumes I've ever seen as well...and I have a huge horror collection...I'd say a close second would be Dog Soldiers.
SIMPLE FIGHT MOTHER F**! I dont know i guess i just have to keep coming back to this just to see that bomb teleporting & falling in slow mo just to remind of Sarge's falling cigar in the Badass Quake intro sequence.
This is how this movie should have been: -Introduce monsters like Cacodemon, Z-Sec, Maggot and Cyberdemon, with the already established Imp, Hell Knight and Pinky demon. Don't have a big issue about they leaving out hell even though they hinted that the source of the whole chromose stuff could be from hell. -More action and gore. A mix of Rambo and Hellraiser. -Satanic symbols drawing in the walls and zombies or demons torturing survivors. A more evil\devilish atmosphere overall. -The Rapid Response Tactical Squad is already stationed in Mars, but in a different base not far from Olduvai. That's how I would begin the story. And the UAC Olduvai facility will be much larger. Like a big city connecting with other different branch of UAC.(Military, science, civillian installation etc) The movie will be almost a copy of Resident Evil 2002 and Resident Evil Apocalypse.
The best thing about this fight is that its one of the few that its semi-logical that when they slam into walls, they shatter the stone. Higher strength leads to a higher density. Well, that's actually the second best. Watching two of my favorite hotties fight each other is the best.

Even though Sarge was slowly turning into a monster, I love how he was honorable enough to fight unarmed. True marine to the very end!

I actually love this film. I loved the plot twist of The Rock being the villain and Karl Urban is such a bad ass it's awesome 😄
Plays Billy butcher as a total badass too
I really loved seeing the different levels of transformation The Rock goes through, as the fight progressed. It's a trip, man!
this fight was bad ass
I've got. . One round.
3:13 doom guy vs doomslayer
This fight scene is greatly choreographed!
jokeonyou89 yes indeed, good and believable acting too
I think it too
Losing all those good soldiers like that turned sarge into pure madness after destroyer died I was mad
MrHeGoneStretch 02 He already seemed wound way too tight from the get go. This whole thing just pushed him over the edge.
You're right from the jumpstart he came off way too harsh but I wish this movie was longer and better they should make a new one.
This is the first time I've seen the Rock as a bad guy. This makes me excited to see him as the full-on villain, Black Adam in Shazam!
Tal Izenberg He was also the villain in Get Smart.
Tal Izenberg antihero according to the rock even though he is a full blown bad guy in the comic
Black Adam rock will never beat this rock
"SPOILER* I loved the plot twist of The Rock being the bad guy. No one expected it the first time in cinemas. It was great, only after the first person scene did everyone go "oh shit, Carl Urban looks just like the guy in the game".
+Senor Corbuiser The Rock was slated to be the good guy in this movie, he declined the role when he was told he wouldn't get to shoot the BFG lol
JOHN REAPER GRIMM KILLS SARGE!
+Senor Corbuiser I thought he would be doom guy, which is why i was so bummed about the movie lmao, then when i saw him die, I got so fucking hyped
+Senor Corbuiser I think he is based on Sergeant Kelly from Doom 3 who had been also turned into a hostile by the demons
+GMmaster99 I had always heard that Sargent Kelly was working with betruter since the begining
I don't know why people hate this movie, i love it :D
most of the people hate it because it wasnt like the game

***** Yeah I agree it was a great scene even though that was the most literal part of the movie, great scene =)
+Johnny (SpinalRage91) i just wish there was more hell and more green armor

This is what I see Karl Urban as. The Doomslayer/Doomguy/Doom marine or whatever you call him!
They both got that super Gene in them. Awsome movie. I love this movie. this fight scene was epic.

Best scene in the movie
I really liked the soundtrack starting from 1:30 as soon as the Sarge tries to swing at Reaper.
I loved this movie. It was such a cool movie. With so many strong dudes. Like Dwayne.
When Sarge wraps the metal around his arm, is this supposed to be a subtle reference to the Cyberdemon?
I've actually never thought of that. A mini Cyberdemon allegory.
***** yeah, hats why I never thought of it as a Cyberdemon allegory; it's a brass knuckle, not a rocket launcher.
2005 baby was legendary years :) thats how they could of thought of that
The hand to hand portion was awesome, before Sarge got the wire/metal thing on his hand.
"WELCOME TO THE MESS HALL!!" - Saboth (A.K.A. MasterSGt Thomus Kelly)
did yall know that reapers rifle is an HK G36? it looks cool as hell
3:21 Kung Lao...IS THAT YOU!!!

This looks surprisingly good
3:10 it's cardboard boxes for control Panels anyone else Notice
Don't know why everyone hates this film so much. Thought it was entertaining.
My favourite part of the fight was when they went "Auaghh!!"
Overall that was better then some of the fights that are in movies now a days.

I wish there was a doom 2 & 3 I wanted a trilogy movie trilogy
+AlbertWesker203 one hit wonder. I prefer it this way tbh. The Rock added something to this film that can't be returned to.
+Senor Corbuiser if they ever make a doom movie again they should hire karl urban. doomguy is almost a pixelated picture of him haha
"I am not supposed to die"
*died in the end*
I don’t consider the Rock the bad guy, I consider him Following The Rules
Hands down,my second best sequence in that film.the first was the POV scene they did.
Damn I love Karl Urban in this movie doom
I bet the Rock was supposed to come back as the Cyberdemon in the sequel. It makes sense, since the grenade would've blown him into pieces.

I never said there was gonna be a sequel. There were plans for a sequel but since the film lost money they decided it wouldnt be a good idea.

that s not rock,that s reaper
sarge is the rock.
u misunderstood me, Dredd can cause it s played by Karl Urban
That flip throw tho
pure badass hands down .
Wouldnt this be like Doomguy using his fist? I nthe game lol
i truely wish the rock was not the villan in this film but he did excellent in this movie 2005 is by far a legendary year rests in peace 2005....

Whats the name of the song in the background when they're fighting I think its from doom
don't know the name but it's a revamp of the song from Entryway (map 1 of Doom 2)
so Reaper had a special gift or what??
He was given the Chromosome 24 that enhanced him into a superhuman instead of a monster
Would've been better to name it "Berserk" instead of Chromosome
Ye wat they said he was a stronger version then sarge
