Well, you guys! I’ve listened to the album a few times now, and I think the orchestral arrangements are as good as Sgt. Pepper. Next stop, the Royal Albert Hall with full orchestra!
Was a joy to be there. I’ve been a Roundhouse Trustee for 20 years and this was a memorable gig. They’re not just going places- they are already there. I went home after the show and rang my friend in Austin Texas and told him to book their show. He texted back to say their shows there and in New York are both sold out already! Go girls!
@LiveInConcertUK Haha cheers. They're doing Liverpool which I'll fly up for so not all bad. I did tell you nobody ever comes down here 😀 You have a good choice of venues. Assume you'll be going to more than one. Thanks for loading those Picture Parlour vids too. Katherine has the most amazing voice.
I only found the Picture Parlour recording a few days ago. I was beating myself up thinking I hadn’t recorded it and there it was all along. There’s not much PP stuff out there so glad I can do my bit to spread the word. O2 Birmingham Academy’s an absolute nightmare for queues - you arrive two hours early and it’s already several hundred people long. I’ve always avoided O2 Victoria Warehouse due to parking issues if United are playing. But the gig is on a Friday, so hopefully ok. Liverpool Guild of Students is easy. It’s a Saturday, so I’ll see you there!
Haha. I'll keep a look out for a tall guy with a camera. I promise I'm not stalking you, but I spotted you on a TikTok clip where the person slightly to your right scanned around the audience. You were sort of easy to pick out surrounded as you were by all the lovely young ladies.🤣@@LiveInConcertUK
I cried watching this. 🥹 I love seeing women love themselves like this. They are so fun and full of joy and absolutely perfect. This is something the world needs.
Nothing not to like and enjoy here. They’re certainly getting a huge push from the industry at the moment. For me, Fizz has the same joy but with better songs and less of a focus on one front person. They’re worth checking out too.
I like Fizz and enjoy their music. But I disagree they write better songs. More fun maybe but not the same depth, lyrically or musically as TLDP imo. We just have different tastes I suppose. They certainly both have a great time on stage though which is great to see. Not sure about the focus being on the front person either. She admittedly does have fantastic stage presence and naturally grabs your attention, but this is a proper band brimmed with excellent musicians who all play their part, both in creativity and performance.
The Roundhouse is a converted Victorian railway engine shed built mainly out of bricks, metal and concrete. It doesn’t have the perfect acoustics of a modern concert hall.
They are better than them. Their songwriting is quite mature. Wet leg are good but do wrote silly songs but decent tunes. They are real deal. Good tunes and mature songs
They other better bands than wet leg. Picture Parlour, hot wax, the last dinner party which is them. Idles. Fontaines DC, New Dad, sprints from Ireland. Amyl and the shifters from Australia.
I love how eloquent they are. No small, tiny, clothes showing off their skin, boobs, and asses. Beautiful ladies in many aspects! I've introduced my daughter to this band! ROCK ON, GALS!!!
This was the night they proved they had nothing to prove. Amazing show- what a vibe, utter joy throughout the venue!

Congratulations to the band for grabbing the UK’s No.1 spot tonight with their debut album “Prelude to Ecstasy” 🎉
That guitar, whoa!
Outrageous
So good to see a band enjoying themselves with an audience. Joy ensues
Such a great performer , awesome voice and just so happy x
Thanks again for posting more stuff. You're an absolute star. Looked like an absolutely awesome night.
Still working on that Cornwall gig for you, if Abi or Georgia are listening. 😎

At the Manchester show I would add.

Yes I heard Led Zepplin Sex pistols Queen etc when they were hyped

No , but having seen them live in 72 i feel im qualified to say they are fresh and exciting

Orla gartland. Do you know she is Irish. And she is good
From fizz.
She has a new album possibly in October
From Dublin
@@niallq8447 Yes, I’ve seen a lot of her work over the years. She writes very directly
Terrible sound quality
What makes you say that?

Is this like Wet Leg or something? Who remembers them ?
Do you mean the same Wet Leg that won their 3rd Grammy 2 month ago?
