He is still so missed. He lives on forever in our hearts.
he doesn't seem high.
he just seems tired and worn down.
but i do agree that it's sad no one saw
any signs of him being overly stressed
or tired and not being able to help him..
he was amazing in the movie..
RIP Heath =/
awh. i loved his voice :)
heath ledger you will always live on!
R.I.P. Heath Ledger you were my favorite Joker.
He was ONE OF THE BEST MOVIE ACTORS of our time...we will miss him!!!Let his legacy continue...
ironic that the last movie he promotes is called "im not there"
I feel your pain. It is hard to get over the death of someone you can feel so close to. It is a tribute to him your grief, it means he accomplished his objective.
I still cant belive he is dead. Its a shame to think such an amazing actor has wasted his life away.
He will be greatly missed.
I completely agree... I just get so sad seeing him like this. He looks sickly.
R.I.P
omg!
i just saw the dark night.
it was AMAZING.but look at his arms,he keeps fiddling with them.
the man is a legend
He looks and sounds so tired it seems like he had lot going through his mind RIP heath u r missed
As soon as you get out of the womb you're meant to know who he is.
They were talking about him because the film Heath Ledger was in previously to the Dark Knight was "I'm Not There", which is a depiction of Bob Dylan's many alter egos. Ledger played one of the alter egos.
He was NOT coked out. He was suffering from extreme insomnia and was just exhausted and probably depressed or heart broken. He had just broken up with Michelle Williams.
it's so great to watch him playing as if he still would be living but painful too cause you knw that he's not! he was a great actor! drugs aren't a way out they make everything only worse! i wish every actor to be happy so that they never die that way or even think about it!
i know, and he was in his prime too. people were just starting to notice him for the actor and person he is. and he never got to fulfill his dream of being a film director either. :[
ledger oooh ledger
RIP Heath
wow, he seems really beaten up in this video. I agree with a bunch of other people in that his movie roles caused sleeplessness and psychological trouble. Truely is sad...RIP HEATH.
i agree that the jokers intensity
had something to do with it..
i would imagine not seeing his wife
and daughter did too..
maybe even things we didn't know about..
but the movie was amazing..as all his are..
but i'm not sure if it was worth dying for either..
RIP
even if doped he is a better actor than you will ever be, show some respect!
heath ledger was the best JOKER ever
I personally don't think anyone should play the Joker for a long time.
hes so nervous. miss ya heath
I think he's nervous, many of these actors hate publicity. He has always done it in every interview. It's just nerves.
i love you heath ive had the biggest crush on him b4 the joker thing but holy crap did he do i good job on that. its so weird 2 see his real self all inisant and ADORABLE and then see him transform into the joker PURE SKILL he was gifted an extrordinary actor and that movie could have gotten his career 2 a much higher level but...... I LOVE U HEATH i always will.....!!
charisse816:
I totally agree. Heath didn't want to die. What good cause would that be anyways? The joker role didn't kill him either. I honestly think he was going through alot of anxiety with his personal life. Not being able to see his kid. I mean sheez that would throw me over the edge too. But I know he didn't want to kill himself. It was an accident. RIP
There's talk that Daniel Day Lewis might step in to continue Heath's role of the Joker... not sure exactly how reliable this is but, personally, I would like to see that because Lewis is good at portraying psychotic characters... especially in Gangs of New York. Not saying this is the same as the Joker but it could work.
YEah mate im aussie i go to his high school gilford in W.A his accent changed because
he was always around posh hollywood people kinda hard to speak aussie when you spend years around them.
I heard somewhere that he had just been getting over Pneumonia and had accidentally mixed sleeping pills with codeine cough syrup. Whatever the case, his death was a tragedy, and people should show some respect for the dead.
yes, ive learned that a few days ago through my theater teacher. idk much or at all about acting or method acting. but yes some become a character and thats why after they finish a role or movie, they have to "party," hang out with friends and family to remember who they really are and u can get lost in it. in the entertainment industry, if u dunno who u are, and i mean REALLY know and anchor urself in that, you can lose yourself and sadly, sometimes literally. thats why some end up in rehab.
yeah he did it in 10 things i hate about you too i think it was OCD or something... i just think it's weird how he changed his voice so well for the movie
u fucking rule ledgers much luv 2 u and ur family
for any aussie out there, does he sounds australian to you guys! coz i think hes accent is unspecified more englishy with hints of american then aussie! or is that how they speak in perth???
Wherever did you hear this?
Love his suspenders
Larry King's too
can anybody tell me plain and simple why he died? he was awesome as the joker and i got pissed when i heard he died before they finished the movie.
hmm is he nervous? I think he has changed so much.. I saw more inteviews with Heath, but he never did so nervous as he did in here...
Dear Heath, we all miss you!! R.I.P
Damn..12 years?! Am I Old ?!
yeah...i've read that he said in an interview that he wasn't sleeping more than 3 hours a night. His body was exhausted, but his mind was working so he couldn't relax...In a way, I wish he hadn't played The Joker :(
try looking at his other interviews.
even in his BBM days he's doing that.
he just doesn't enjoy being interviewed.
give the man a break.
which one? i'll try and see if i can.
oops, i meant: "not here, NOR in his interview on ellen's show."
I know this guy was articulate. I am not saying he was a drug addict. All I am saying is that I know what these drugs can do to someone. It's no doubt it is a tragic death. I feel so sorry for his family. Heath was an awesome actor. I loved his movies.
I heard he had to get on medicine after doing Batman cause playing the joker some what drove him crazy. in this interview if u look closely...he is still licking his lips and stuff
or live long enough to SEE YOURSELF become the villian....
He shouldn't be dead...its hard to believe that his life came to an end so suddenly.
Some people would rather live and be on prescriptions during that time..whether it's physical or emotional pain they are trying to heal or deal with..hell, it doesn't even have to be prescribed. Whatever makes life bearable. Unfortunately, MEDICINE IS AS DISAPPOINTING AS LIFE IS SOMETIMES. Get over the drug aspect, respect life and all its perplexities.. Getting caught up in those details can drive you insane.Love the life that you live and the greatness you saw in Heath.
Oh, god, NO!!!! there were many interviews that day for him (you could watch many on RUclips) and this was the last...is normal that a person be stressed!!!! I'm usually more stressed at school every day!!!!! And I do not use drugs!!!!
he looks pretty unwell in this interview :(
this video is quite quiet
im aussie and hes got an american touch
wow he does look kind of shitty there, poor guy he'll be missed
o ya of corse theyre gonna make another movie iunno who'll be the riddler but 2-face will b kinda awesome i think ya they were in the same movie
I dont see another Joker now.
It's painful to watch. The "medication" is making him worse. I don't recall seeing him like this in prior interviewers. You can tell he's suffering.
yes, he looks really anxious here and just...unwell. he couldnt sit still. not here, in his interview on Ellen's show. promoting the 2006 oscars, i think it was?
i definately agree that he looks like he was extremely uncomfortable there he keeps fidgiting the entire time and he just seems so sad there .. hes not showing the fun loving personality we all know he has.. he just doesnt look happy.. R.I.P heath you will be EXTREMELY missed! xoxox
at exactly 2:30 he acts like the joker, check it out
I willl do it !! HAAAA
Well he had just done The Dark Knight. I don't know how reliable my information is but I heard he was having nightmares and things from his role as the joker. I also heard that it was this that attributed to his unfortunate death.
Johnny Depp maybe.. or how about Robert Downey Jr. He could do it like a combo of Nicholson, Ledger, and Cesar Romero
As much as he is Australian he really doesn't sound Australian
Johnny Depp does the same, many actors just hate publicity. It really is just nerves, I doubt it has anything to do with the Joker.
He was on drugs during this interview. The way he squirms and picks at himself during the ENTIRE thing proves it. Don't try the "Oh he did that in every interview" If you don't believe me. Look it up. Drugs cause people to do that.
aww poor guy looks EXHAUSTED and stressed n worn out...wouldnt blame him...2 movies coming back to back playing huge characters like dylan AND JOKER!? holy crap...i feel really bad for him...i think he just worn himself out. and shinrai13 i think thats how he died also by taking too many sleeping pills cuz he took the joker soo seriously! which makes him a PHENOMINAL actor! RIP HEATH!!!
Yea he is squirming around a bit there. That's what precribed drugs will do to you. Like a bad hangover in the morning. Can't stop moving until you feel better. RIP.
@jones618 Thats because he had something done to his mouth that he couldnt let his lips stay dry
@regulator619 He thinks he owns the Joker character, but he doesn't no-one owns the Joker. (Heath is the best portrayal OF the Joker by millions and millions)
Seemed a very tricksy interview that one. But I keep asking myself why do people do drugs? Everyone knows that in the end it will get you! I mean my career is not doing very well - the girl I fancy/wish to god I could see her everyday - in fact I want to marry her but she lives on another continent - yet I don't turn to drugs.........
If Heath's presence and essence doesn't inspire you or make the world more interesting for you, then why speculate on the drugs he was on? Believe me, this is not just one person dealing with prescriptions, it is millions who depend on them. You will find out soon enough, if not that, at least respect that a life and death is more than the sum of the pills one ingests. Whatever the reason he took them, he did, and he is gone, as we all will be some day. If no admiration for him leave it alone.
@CARNLOU I don't think so. Daniel Day-Lewis is really great actor, but he will never be as awesome as Heath's Joker.
He was amazing as an actor, and I am sure he was an amazing person. However, it is obvious that he is high in this interview, and I think it is really sad that noone saw the signs and took the steps that were neccessary to help him.
Not doped up, he was a chain smoker and they all are very twitchy when they go more than 10minutes without a smoke.
He obviously wasn't doped up when he was shooting TDK because you can't focus well enough to act when you are high on something.
under the influence
yea but movie makers can find a way to fix watever he cant do
probably. but no one in their right mind would take 4 different kinds of sleeping pills all at once. you only take one or two pills of ONE KIND to sleep. same with painkillers. unless he was addicted, and did die accidentally.
Briiliant work.
Why is so irritable and twitchy? He has some Joker mannerisms left over?
...... I'm sorry but how old are you?
Who is Bob Dylan? He's only, I dunno, the greatest music god/legend/poet of all time.
@warmpond The Joker isn't going to appear in the third one.
he's cold
sorry but i have disagree with you on this. sure he was dedicated, no doubt about that. but i dont think any actor would be THAT dedicated and actually WANT to take anti-psychotic pills. because dude, before you take any pill, you have to be sure it wont cause any side effects. and most of those pills too, it has too many chemicals in them. idk why anyone in their right mind would want to take that risk, i wouldnt. im not trying to offend his memory or your opinion, im just typing my own opinion
hindsight is a crazy thing.
You can see how uncomfortable is he in that interview. Drugs are never good, even sleep meds.
Sucha a shame. RIP Ledger.
2 hours a night*
what??? why do u assume that i'm educated??
i just said what i was thinking, sorry if i seem smart.....?
@knownpleasures he was destined to die
he did this movie when he accepted joker role
he's in the joker mentality..
its so creepy.
Looks like withdrawal to me.
wow u can tell something is really wrong in the interview wow i wounder what was wrong with him
and I HEARD that the character of "the joker" got into heath's soul or something like that and started to take CONTROL
OF HIS BODY AND MIND.
HE WAS ACTUALLY VERY SCARED AND HE THOUGHT HE REALLY WAS THE JOKER
IN SOME WORDS, HE WENT NUTS! :(
yeah kinda..
he was into pills long ago, as in eees.
@allaccessphoto troll
he looks pretty messed up here. twitching and rubbing himself. creepy
I dont see how they can put the joker in the "dark night rises" when heath is dead. its just wrong
its not adorable when he looks at his elbow hes prolly on drugs lol hes sketching out
he OD'd.
he seems antsy to me.
clearly coked out.
