Haha!! Thank you :) Tried to do something a little different and Troy is really good at coming up with ideas like that lol! Thanks for the watch. Happy 4th!
Catching up on some comments! Sorry I missed yours!! So if you would like a sticker feel free to email us at winespinescanines@gmail.com and we will drop one in the mail to you! Thank you as always for watching!
I haven't read all the comments yet, but I use steel wool inside the plastic cored cover, where the power cord comes into the camper. They love to walk up the cord and enter in where the plastic cover is (unless you have one of the new campers where the power is a plug in cord (I think I now see why the manufactures went to the removable cords.=)).
Great info. We had a mouse in our RV right before we went camping during the 4th of July. Once we arrived at the campground we started setting up we found multiple droppings in almost every drawer. It's like the mouse relieved itself non-stop. We wiped out the drawers with disinfectant wipes and went about our trip. After the trip, I crawled under the RV and found the mice had been living on top of the coroplast underbelly. I used steel wool and the expansion foam to plug all the holes I could find. Now, I always leave several mouse traps around the RV when we're not camping in it and/or when it's winterized. I don't think they can get in now, but if they do...
They are sneaky critters for sure! Hate the sinking feeling of pulling out a drawer and seeing those telltale signs. Means the rest of the day is cleaning and looking for tiny holes in the camper lol! Good luck and hopefully you have stopped him!
Hmm- behind Troy in the tree over his right shoulder… on the awning arm….beyond Troy’s left elbow…bike seat… table between you both…did I mention I love Waldo games? Seriously, thanks for the updates and ideas!
We also love where’s Waldo games! There was one more spot in the scene where we had “look close” but truly appreciate the watches. If you would like a sticker, you can email us at winespinescanines@gmail.com. Thank you for watching!
Ha! Thank you for the watch and playing along! If you would like a sticker, you can email us at winespinescanines@gmail.com and we will drop one in the mail!
Ahhh close - there is one more spot in the first part of the video (the scene with the look closer - he was very hard to see!). But multiple people have mentioned the iPad at the end so - if you would like a sticker - send us an email at winespinescanines@gmail.com and we will send one out. Thank you for watching and playing along - much appreciated!
Hi - thanks for watching and playing! There was one more in the beginning (we put a clue in the scene because he was so hard to see lol!) before we did the repairs! But forgot he was sitting on the tablet at the end!
Truly! Even though we are careful to leave no food, everything in the drawers had to be washed. This is our second go round with them. The first was a few years ago in a Class C we had. Luckily no damage there. And we got off pretty light here as well - $30 and an afternoon is much better than it could have been!
Hi Leon! Hope all has been well! Lol - it was a fun one to film. And yes - much more fun than finding out we had one of the rodents. As always - thanks for the watch.
Love the Videos!! Well Done…. I am curious if you have had any issues with leaving the Geo Pro outside uncovered in storage for long period of times. Just bought a 2023 20 BHS and contemplating whether open storage or paying the extra money for a covered spot. Thanks for all the great info on these units!
Hi! Thank you for the feedback and glad you are enjoying the videos! So, here in NC, the sun can get pretty strong. We noticed one of the decals by the door is flaking off. But the rest are fine. And this one happened in the first year so may have been a defective decal. We ordered a replacement to address in the future. And, we are having to replace some of the vinyl trim 3 1/2 years in. Not difficult but it is the sun breaking it down. Would say though - if we could find a covered storage locally and it was slightly more - would likely go for it. Keeping the sun off the camper and roof, plus it keeps the dirt from washing down the sides leaving black streaks. But, won’t get solar so would need to keep the battery topped off. Hope that helps and congrats on the camper!
I had a mouse take down the AC unit in the house. Repair was over $500. I do remember my mother talking about how much time we spend trying to keep the outdoors outside.
Wow! A house AC unit. Darn critters. Growing up in Canada, we had them in the house - hard to keep them out. But I don’t remember damage luckily. We have had two campers. One mouse in both and found them both deceased - and nothing we did! Not sure what it is about our campers that they come to spend their final days in lol.
Thank you Ken - much appreciated! Almost on the 4. He was also in the scene where we had “look close”. We didn’t realize how well we hid him! We didn’t even think of the iPad at the end!
I would have tried to pull the new duct in with the old one using it as a pull string. Perhaps it would have ripped the new duct but I would have found that out the hard way.
That is a good method. Think it might have worked but behind the tv cabinet it was really tight - had to move things out of the way as we pulled it through. But using the old to pull the new through would be much easier! Thanks for the watch!
Troy / Linda. Thanks for another great video. Being from New England we have problems with these little critters during the winter. Thanks for educating me and making me smile and laugh while helping me learn to seal up our camper! Hope to see you both at a campsite some day.
Hi Tracy! Oh yes - grew up in Canada. They were everywhere. Never had them in Florida! Glad you enjoyed the video! And absolutely - we would enjoy meeting up over a campfire one day as well!
Oh, man, very creative. He was on the bike seat, hanging from the window behind his head, tire, on the limb. Glad you were able to take care of all the issues the little guys created, and that you found him. If not, it would have gotten stinky after a while. He did make a mess of that duct, and it was tricky to fix. Mortimer is cute, but Desi is cuter.
Ha! Thanks. We started filming and Troy was like - we need to liven this up. This was all him! And yes - when I realized he had been in the heater, it had to go! And then we saw the damage. (we found him somewhere else - he made poor decisions!). We cant confirm or deny on those locations yet 😂. Waiting until tomorrow haha! But you guys can always get a shout out and a sticker! I agree. Desi is a keeper!!
Another great video. Good info for us to check our cracks as well. The hidden mice were on bike seat, on the window, on the hanger under the trailer that looks like your propane quick connect, on the tree branch behind Troy. I think that is the 4 places, but for a bonus you had one on the iPad as well. Fun!
Those are the spots! If you would like a sticker, you can email us at winespinescanines@gmail.com :). Glad you enjoyed the video - it was a fun video to film lol!
Hello Troy and Linda! Ughhh....I am very happy your repairs were manageable; but inconvenient, for sure! We are fortunate, so far--- no mice in our rig yet. I am sure the day will come. I guess a preventative under carriage inspection would be useful ? We have had 3 snow storms this season, so far. So, the national forest roads are closing. We are transitioning from high country camping to trips to the desert. Safe travels!!!
Hi Campingalan! Hope you are doing well - glad you are getting some fall/early winter camping in! But wow - 3 snowstorms so far - is that normal? And yes - second time dealing with a mouse for us. First time damage was done - luckily easy fix! Yes - we are going to be taking a closer look for sure under the camper- especially around the tires as easy entrance point. Have fun out there and safe travels to you as well!
Good comedic timing - especially with an icky topic😂😂
Haha!! Thank you :) Tried to do something a little different and Troy is really good at coming up with ideas like that lol! Thanks for the watch. Happy 4th!
Bike seat, top of the window, battery kill switch, tree branch. :D I really appreciate these how-to videos where you show the process, step by step!

Excellent suggestion! We do have one with the plug in cord but many don’t. Thanks for the comment!

@@WinesPinesandCanines I had multiple mice get into my trailer years ago, boy what a disaster that was, so disgusting

mouse entered on the wheel well
Yes - he was a sneaky little critter! The piece was just loose so we didn’t see at first. But he definitely saw a way in!
Kinda messy but shake flour around suspected entry spots and tracks will expose his or her travels.
Great tip! Thank you and thanks for watching!
Here's another hint...Mice HATE Peppermint Oil.
Thanks for the tip! And thanks for watching!
This was a fun one. (To watch. I'm guessing not so much so to experience.)

Man that mouse caused a lot of damage. Replacing that duct didn’t look like fun
Its amazing how something so small can cause so much damage! We were just happy it was duct and not electric! As always - thanks for the support!

Yes again!
Where can I get one of those stickers!?
Hi! You can email us at winespinescanines@gmail.com.

Same trailer mouse made a nest in the heater under the cook top and behind the microwave
Hmmm. Might have to pull the microwave out now! They are crafty critters. Hopefully not too much damage for you?
Bike seat
Yes!
Tablet
This is one we didn’t plan as part of the 4. But so many have mentioned - so yes!
Go to grandpa gus
Thanks for the tip! Will look into it and if ok around pets. Desi can be inquisitive lol. Thanks for the watch!
