Rob, you have good photographers, you have masters who can do magic with light, you have masters who can do magic with colors and black and white tones. You have all those talents. THANK YOU ROB
I bought a Godox V350 in December mostly because I had been watching some of your other flash set ups/tutorials. I want to get more comfortable using flash so that this kind of creativity is possible! Very cool self-portrait - thanks Rob!
thank you for this interesting tutorial - I love that you show us all the variations on your set up...it's so helpful. And although your portrait is pretty intense, it's a very cool one.
@Rob Trek Joking aside, you actually demonstrated some very useful wet weather techniques. We're often in a location, to which we'll never return, so it's now-or-never to capture those images. In amongst them, we'll often want a portrait of a friend or family member. So, perhaps, your video tutorial on taking portraits in the rain isn't so crazy afterall. Rick
Just out of habit. I shoot in aperture priority 99% of the time so didn't even think about adjusting the iso. The effect would be exactly the same though. That said, I was at f11 and also out of habit I try to avoid anything above f/8 for defraction purposes.
I was using the E-M1 III. Yes, the custom timer is in the shutter menu. Watch this video for a full tutorial, especially at the end! ruclips.net/video/YtbJ-T4_XSE/видео.html
Very nice Rob, the assignments are turning out great, you and Peter make a good team. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks! I'm finding it challenging.

Thanks, Marcel. You're too kind.

Thank you so much!
This is so "Unbreakable" 😄
Must have been in my subconscious photographic memory.
Great effort Rob! The photo came out real nice! It is so nice to have weather sealed equipment.
Thanks, Peter!
Nice work Rob:)
Thanks, Ed. Good to hear from you!
Great photo and tutorial, Rob. If I saw this photo without knowing its purpose, I would be ringing 911!
Thanks! I thought about a taller shot with me hold a kitchen knife. Then I thought that would be too dark.
Thanks!
Thank you!
Wow, 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Who knew Rob is one of the walking dead!!!!
Haha! Might explain why I'm so tired all the time.
Aw gee, Rob. We thought this would be a bikini shoot 😉 😄
Now we know you've lost your marbles. Portraiture in the Rain 🤪
Haha! I probably won't be doing this again anytime soon.

Nice one Rob. Very clearly explained what you did and why you did it. End result looked really good 👍
Thanks!
Rob, when things were too dark in the test shot, why did you choose to open the aperture, versus moving back to native ISO?
Just out of habit. I shoot in aperture priority 99% of the time so didn't even think about adjusting the iso. The effect would be exactly the same though. That said, I was at f11 and also out of habit I try to avoid anything above f/8 for defraction purposes.
Another great shot Rob, thanks for sharing your knowledge about the use of flashes, very impressive
Thanks!
Awesome tutorial. Thanks for sharing, Rob.
Thanks!
Excellent Tutorial Video Rob. Thank You.
Thank you!
Very good!
You must have practised this in the shower 😉
Haha!
Thanks! I learned a lot.
Glad to help!
Hi Rob! Wondering what camera you are using. You mentioned using a 'custom timer' (a new term for me). Can I find that on the EM1 MK 2?
I was using the E-M1 III. Yes, the custom timer is in the shutter menu. Watch this video for a full tutorial, especially at the end! ruclips.net/video/YtbJ-T4_XSE/видео.html
@@RobTrek Thanks Rob! Didn't have a clue tht this feature existed. Thinking about what creative uses I can put this to! 🙂
Great shot , appalling conditions, looks excellent among Peter's monthly theme photo submissions.
Thanks!
