Indian Doctors are the best... Medical Tourism in India is Growing

    • @jaithak7267

That is the problem, if they are the best then why are the rich Indians coming to the US for medicine and surgeries? I am baffled.

No, facilities are not better India, they are available randomly without any IMA compliances. Indian doctors do not guarantee good care or medicine. Know the difference between availability and proper care.

Nahi bhai, Canada has much better medical facilities but the problem is, wait time is painful due to Universal Health Care system. Healthcare is free but you have to wait long time for major procedure.

  • @manamansinghchhina824
    @manamansinghchhina824 9 месяцев назад +4

In most hospitals in India this procedure requires no prolonged hospitalisation. It’s a bread and butter thing for a cardiac interventionist.
I suggest a quick over to India to get it done. Don’t wait another year if you can afford the cost. It is not worth the discomfort and the feeling of dread.

In fall 2022, I had to wait for 27 hours in the ER in Montreal to see a doctor for my lung infection and it required an extreme amount of patience. Symptoms were unbearable and it turned out to be tuberculosis in the lymph node. Canadian healthcare seems unreliable, some people have died while waiting in the waiting rooms. I suggest everyone who comes here to be health conscious and take all steps to be healthy. Get a full medical checkup before coming and be aware of any family history of medical conditions that might make you susceptible to those conditions. Once you’re here, you’re pretty much on your own - especially as a student. Be your best advocate and take care of yourself by eating healthy, being physically and socially active and avoiding unnecessary physical or mental stress. If you do end up sick or injured, don’t worry and be patient - help will be available but it takes some time. If you stress, you would only hurt yourself more. Take care, be safe and healthy. Cheers everybody

It is not just about Canada, we stayed in Hong Kong and its the same story there too. For Government hospitals ER the wait time is even more than 16-17 hours and the best part it may be carried to the next day since there are no doctors after 10pm until 7am. And if you opt to go for private doctors or hospitals you have to shell a lot of money from your pocket. Consultation is $700-1000 HKD for a general practitioner..

My wife was working in pgi chd she has done MD from Pgi only. Then we moved to canada bcoz she wanted to learn more new things. But after coming here its so difficult for a well educated Dr. also u have to give 2 exams which is almost worth 6-7 lakhs indian currency. Plus u have to do fellowships meanwhile till the u get a licence to pratice as a dr over her. So its already more than 3 years we are here and now its gonna take almost 1 more year to become a consultant. So basically its a 3-4 year normal time for a well educated indian dr to start practicing in canada.

10:25 I can understand.. My cousin brother who used to live in our house (India) in 2013 around.. He was also caught with Apendix.. ( later known )
My mother used to rub *Desi Ghee* as he was complaining about pain, and pain used to go away,
    It happened for 1-2 days..
One day He was in utmost pain in kate night.. and finally went to doc, apendix was bout to burst.. But we reached on time and op was successful, he is now healthy and happy !
This was 2013.. and still we get medical assistance.. we are not from wealthy fam but from decent middle-class.
And in CA 2017.. your story is painful.. still can't believe, you guys weren't treated well despite being in developed country...
it's sad to see Canada's healthcare..
I used to think healthcare is free in CA, and India should learn but I have come to know that in reality, India's healthcare is NOT great but still much better than many developed countries when comparing India's economy and population..
    Hope You get well Soon.
    God Bless you ❤️

It is exact same situation in UK too with National Health Service. You don't get appointments for weeks if you need one. Waiting in ER is horrendous. 7-8 hours is normal. Yes ir is free but they take so much tax out of our pays. It is beyond belief. But I still would not go to India for consultation. You hear horror stories on news. The schools where the doctors degrees are from are non existing. The degrees are fake. It is scary.
However, if you are having a pacemaker fitted, that is not bad at all. Less than half hour job. And you should get it done. Best of luck with your health. Take care.

Canada is scary as sh*t when it comes to healthcare. I moved to this country from USA 27 months back and just craving for another 11 months to pass and I escape this country. I lived in US for a decade, I had 3 surgeries there and 2 surgeries in India. Surgeries in US were covered by my health insurance and was really smooth. I was rushed to hospital, and instantly put on morphine so pain went away. Within next 5 hours, surgery was done. They wanted to do surgery immediately but since I had eaten they wanted to wait before giving anesthesia. But for next planned surgery, there was no waiting. Surgeries are painless in US.
If not for USA, I would have left Canada within 1 year. I am just thinking 11 more months of pain, then I can enter US on H-1B without a stamp due to Canadian passport. I cannot imagine starting a family in Canada, after hearing horrible stories of people sitting with their kids for hours to get basic X-Ray done which is done within minutes in United States. If you are a well educared person, move to USA. Canada is only for war refugees or blue collar workers.

I would avoid all long distance travel till surgery is done - long flights, unhealthy eating at airports. I would try moving to Vancouver if job situation permits - much more warmer there and can go for long walks in morning and afternoon and can atleast avoid snow - wont mind moving to a slightly smaller house. Moving to India will be really hard now that her parents and both her brothers are also here.

I agree sunny brother it takes time in canada america but our medical system delay but their prognosis is amazing. I had 6 echocardiogram done in india and 2 scans of MRI and CT for kidney. All doctors gave wrong prognosis and different ideas. One said I have prostate problems and big kidney stone. Other said I do not have kidney stone and no prostate issues. One doctor said I have 3 months to live because of heart other cardiologist said I am good until 70 year old.
I have seen really high end doctors in india and not satisfied. Hygein is so poor in india. The nurses do not use any cleaning protocols. They make you lay down in same bed sheet which is used by 100 patients. when I went for Echo at fortis mohali they told me to lay down in bed sheet which was drenched in someone blood. I had to literally fight to get it changed. Technicians use no gloves when withdrawing blood. India medical is hell hole never visit. Just rather wait in canada.
I have seen doctors in Delhi Heart institute, AIIMS, Fortis, DMC, CMC and all worst doctors.

Surgery is Not the only option...My friend has the sane problem & the doctor has given 1 tablet to be taken everyday and with this there are no more episodes. Plus he was told by the doctor that if the circuit shorting surgery fails which can happen then for life he has to be with pacemaker machine. So seriously dont go for surgery, just take this 1 tablet every day and manage the condition smoothly. If you want to know the medicine then I will ask my friend and tell you.

Its better to please visit Narayana Banglore or KIMS in Hyderabad. You will be alright in 10 days after surgery.

It is true that medical care is in bad situation at present, wait krni padti hai kaafi...Lekin phir bhi ek aisa system to bna hua hai ki koi badi bimari hone pr ghar-ghaat sab bechna nahi padta. Waiting time shayd kabhi na kabhi kam ho jaye, agar khatam naa bhi ho. Abhi to tooti haddi le kar kai ghante log baithe rehte hain clinic ke bahr
