I finished the quest today and I was so impressed. That's the thing with child abuse. a lot of people don't see it but also a lot of people look away. Or to be more precise: they often don't understand what they are seeing. And abusers can be so good at hiding the abuse. I loved how the mood of the quest shifted and how Xilonen tried to separate the kid from her abuser and give her a window to ask for help. She did it in public to make it as safe as possible for Nepecha. She didn't even know what was really going on but she already sensed that something wasn't right. Also, the way she paused every time before she answered and comforted Nepecha in the last dialogue. She is an incredibly thoughtful character and I think that she found the exact right words. and the VA knocked it out of the park, especially in the scene where she explained Tlazolli where she went wrong. There was so much pain in her voice when she talked about Nechca's death. I really didn't expect this quest to hit so hard, ngl ^^
It honestly was a great one! It was quite late when I've done this, so I didn't say much at the end, but the way she handled it was honestly amazing. We got to know that even if it's a family member, she won't turn a blind eye to something that she believes to be wrong. I also liked how she took her time in this very delicate situation, but not too long, and let Nepecha feel safe to come forward. And as you said, the emotion she felt when talking to Tlazolli, it's like she felt the pain, she didn't judge, but rather was worried.
@@berrydemon oh, absolutely! I really appreciated all of that. there was a lot of empathy in the writing itself and Xilonen also showed a lot of empathy. sure, what Tlazolli did was unforgivable but her pain and trauma and just the entire tragedy of the situation is such an important part of the picture. painting her solely as a monster would neglect all the things that lead to the whole mess.
@@leni1029that was the closing part for me, that sense of loss and tragedy was something that Tiazolli couldn’t let go, even after all these years. Man, the vas froth both of them were great cause Tia grinder my gears.
Hot damn... that was one hell of a rollercoaster of a questline. Natlan really is the best update Genshin ever had. Music 10/10 Story quests 10/10 (Yes even Mualani and Kinich) Archon quests 100/10 especialy in the war. And Xilonen's quest really got my heart pumping.
She doesn't do that to "every piece of dialogue"??? I invite you to watch the full gameplay alone or do the quest yourself before watching her video lol
Unfortunately its a reaction video, you don't expect her to be silent now so ofc she would be commentating. If you wanted an uninterrupted and smooth flow of dialogue you probably should've have done the quest or watched an a full playthrough no commentary
why are you watching a REACTION video instead of a playthrough then? There's plenty of them too, just saying. Also, what a weird exaggeration to say "every piece of dialogue" lol

At the start of Act 3, I started to say "Please don't be another Thelxie"...
This hits harder than thelxie
Xilonen and her adopted bby sister :'D
her question had me SOBBINGGGG (and i just got her to level 80😆)
I felt so bad for Nepecha 😭
Early for this masterpiece

Geez can you not talk through every piece of dialogue? :

Then go and see someone else who doesn’t, problem solved. Sure this might’ve been a month ago, though the point still stands
