Let me tell you, this song is one of the iconic rock songs in history. Would you believe it? Guns N Roses have a lot of good songs, and I loved most of them. If you could, would you react to more of their music? I would be so happy to see it 💙
@@Effge2012 Yes When I heard this song for the first time the tears run of my eyes. And have no cleu why. And that even I didn't no this was a Guns song.
My fave band of all time since 1989! Axl has one of the most powerful, flexible, versatile rage and recognisable voices of anyone ever! Their debut album Appetite for Destruction is one of the fastest selling debut albums ever.
One of thosse iconic songs that change character during the playing time. Others are "Bohemian rhapsody" by Queen, "A day in the life" by The Beatles, "Blackstar" by David Bowie and "History" by Michael Jackson. I love it when artists are this creative!
I love GNR - Don't Cry. It is a song of theirs that is seldom reviewed or reacted to as people tend to go for the better known songs like Sweet Child of Mine, Paradise City, Welcome to the Jungle and November Rain. Great review and reaction.
GnR performed this at the video music awards a while back. Elton John accompanied them (playing piano) onstage. It was the “biggest production in the history of the VMA’s” (with full orchestra). Check it out Dereck, it’s awesome. If you like this one you would also love “Dry County” by Bon Jovi. ✌️
My bestie and I saw this video on MTV when it was first released, and at the end we just sat there stunned. Like “this is something else.” GNR wasn’t our usual music, but this was GOOD. Layered.
You didn't know this song??? You're joking aren't you? If you liked Axl react to Bohemian rhapsody at Freddie Mercury Tribute concert 1992 together with Elton John.
You should do a reaction to the group Londonbeat. They are criminally forgotten but had some nice hits in the early 90s. Most notably "I've Been Thinking About You" and "You Bring on the Sun"
Thx a million! Huge, insane, tremendous and mesmerizing song. Definitively in my top hundred. Love crazily the versatile melody and the dramatic progression of the whole track and of course Slash's mindblowing guitar solos. A treat. My son bought the CD at it's issue and don't know how many times listened to this track, It was so addictive to me.
This was from that time when music videos were becoming like little movies in themselves. GnR we’re so huge they could put out a song so long and have it be a hit. But this was also their last big hit. Nothing as big after this. And with grunge coming in at the time. It’s a great example of the division between Axl and the rest of the band, him wanting to do bigger and bigger arrangements, the rest wanting to do what they’d been doing before on Appetite. I remember Axl running around in booty shorts and doing duets with Elton John at the Freddie Mercury tribute. They were on a totally different wave length. Still the Use Your Illusion albums are amazing (though with some absolutely skippable tracks). If you want to hear some more epic GnR from this era you can’t go wrong with Civil War, Don’t Cry, Estranged, or Patience from the GnR Lies EP with the original lineup doing acoustic.
G'n'R are another "cult band"... All those were when I was in high school... We had that and Nirvana breaking out... Then Rage against the machine... Imagine those times...
They weren't cult at all and they actually weren't hair metal either. They just were. They stood alone (well maybe with SR) between hair metal and Nirvana (yuck) alternative
Coma-studio Estranged -1992 Tokyo Rocket Queen- 1992 Tokyo One in a Million - because there is only one reaction on YT and she got pissed and turned it off!
I would love to hear your reaction on « Song of Women » by The Hu ft Lzzy Hale… This song is pure gold (to me), and it makes me cry every time… It is soooo powerful… I would really like to know what you think about it, and seeing you react to it would be wonderful 😊🙏🏻
Just a fun fact for you! The lead Guitarist Saul Hudson who goes by the stage name Slash feared for his life a little bit while filming this video. His solo in front of the small church was shot with an actual helicopter. The helicopter literally flew around him in all directions to catch those shots. That's why he had so much wind blowing his hair. He said it gave him slight anxiety and he was afraid of being hit. You wouldn't know that in the video though! His amazing talent and passion along with his entire beautiful self shine straight through. 😊❤
At the time this was the most expensive music video ever made. It's surpassed Michael Jackson's thriller. It cost over $1 million dollars to make. I read the wedding dress alone cost $10,000
"November Rain" est une chanson classique du hard rock américain. Merci Dereck. Plus de Rock'N'Roll serait le bien venu. Rammstein , live in Paris , is strong.
This is a very difficult song at karaoke. And yes the radio cut off the epic end to fit on radio play The video was made around 92. Axl started the piano idea around 83
With all due respect and I may be wrong this did not seem like this was the first time you heard this song. Your air guitar was perfect and u finished lyrics on a few occasions. I may be wrong but many people do fake first time reactions on here. Again I may be wrong and if so I apologize.
My love song with my ex, and if we launched this ( if she was without him) we finished in bed, we feel bad for him ( we were young when we 're was in couple), but we were so young we coulnd resist...
@@Laudanum-gq3bl she married a millionaire Peter Brant. Recently her son died of Overdose. In the video, she dies of suicide. You see the mirror covering half of her face because of the shot in the head
Fun facts : 1) This is the longest song ever to make it to the top 10 2) the song was written in 1983 even before the group existed 3) the girl in the clip was actually Axl's girlfriend 4) Slash went on record saying he didn't understand in the slightest the clip before seing the ending version 5) Kurt Cobain hated with passion Axl and said this song was one of the worst he's ever heard. He went as far as spitting on a piano Axl was supposed to used If I forgot some of the facts about this song add up in the comments !
In the video, Stephanie Seymour kills herself. We see the mirror covering half of her face in the coffin. So the shot in the head is unseen by the grieving family
Funnily enough, Axel Rose (from Guns and Roses) went to a concert of Pet Shop Boys (there is a photo of Pet Shop Boys and him at the back of the stage) and he loved it. He took one of the songs of PSB (My October Shymphony) like an inspiration for November Rain. The concept of pop music and big orchestral was used for that song. So the existence of this song is because of Pet Shop Boys. It's not a joke.
Hi Derek, une chanson à écouter absolument, elle dure aussi 9 minutes, mais ce termine par un solo de guitare exceptionnelle, free bird de lynyrd skynyrd.

November Rain really is one of *those* songs. Once you've heard it, it stays with your forever.

I never saw this video as a dream, I just saw it as a man with a broken heart. She was sick, she knew this at the wedding, he's hurt from losing her.
I hope you react to Shania Twain again. the 2003 chicago concert is incredible. I love your music greetings 👍
