I agree with one of the commentators, the cabinets; especially the lower ones it would be beneficial to make them slide out style. You would be able to keep things organized better also I have seen some with built in storage for glasses and plates that keep your dishes from moving around and breaking.A slide out spice rack for easier access.I think with the shower a built in fold up transfer bench would also be a good idea,or at least have it as an option for the buyer. How much does this coach run price wise?
I really like this couch. The only thing i would do different is the tiny shelf area near the microwave/oven. I would turn that, as it is so narrow and deep into a slide out spice rack area.
having a shower curtain means water on the floor. the shower automatically creates a vacuum that pulls in the shower curtain. and since it's a roll in shower there is no lip to prevent water coming out.
"since it's a roll in shower there is no lip to prevent water coming out." Incorrect. There's a flexible lip that a wheelchair can roll over, but when it's not being compressed it's high enough to create a dam against water flowing onto the floor outside. Freeze the video at 28:35 to look more closely.
this is pretty nice but I don't understand why companies don't bother to get somebody that is confined to a wheelchair in there to help you all design. That design for the bathroom the shower in particular is the worst design ever. Hotels do this all the time. I would like for you to tell me if you're in a wheelchair and sitting on that shower ban how are you supposed to read the shower nozzle at the back of the shower? also people always put those sliding shower nozzles at the very top somebody sitting in a wheelchair can't reach the top it needs to be at the bottom.
The ultimate would be to make a driving area for a wheelchair driver such as myself. Too bad it's not independently operated. Some people don't travel with others. Otherwise, these are wonderful RV's LOVE the Sleep Number beds as that's what I use at home.
I've been in a wheelchair for 21 years no the setup they have is not perfect and like he said they try to make it for everybody to use most companies don't even offer an accessible unit kudos to Newmar for thinking about that also you can put lockdowns in the floor for your wheelchair and I have seen Newmar Motorhomes with a 6-way transfer seat and hand controls and if there's doesn't work for you you can always go to Newell they custom build each coach the way you want it just go pop $2000000 down and you'll get what you want I for one would love to have a 4311 would put in a transfer seat and hand controls and could make do very well for a very reasonable amount of money
Lots of the higher end electric wheel chairs now have lifts to get you higher up to reach things. Perhaps if things were left at the normal height then the able bodied person won't get a sore back from trying to use things that are too low. Lots of carers end up with bad backs as it is, so we need to
look after their health too. The big electric wheelchairs need to be tied down too. If you ever had an accident an 120 kg chair flying through the air at 100 kms an hour, you do the math. Even if the wheelchair is stowed in one of the areas underneath the coach, it still should be tied down. They are
very expensive pieces of kit. They also need to be looked after. It astonishing to me that there are not more seat belts that come standard. Also that the laws allow people to travel without seat belts in your state. With that partition behind the drivers seat even if you got hand controlls fitted,
Bed over the cab on a Class A RV? Maybe storage cabinets, but not a bed. Nothing would be best in my opinion. The spaciousness of a Class A is too much of a plus to ruin it by trying to put anything above your headroom. In a Class A RV you can stand up from the driver's seat & the passenger's seat.
Ronald , I have seen several Class A’s with a good sized bed on the ceiling over the drivers seat or right behind it. The seat backs will go forward and lay flat on the seat and the bed comes down from the ceiling and lays on the seat, sometimes with legs on the other side of the bed that come down to hold the side the seats aren’t holding but the bed is often held up when up or down by the hydraulics that raise and lower the bed.
I would say that the doors on the outside of the coach need to pop out about 1 to 2 inches and slide to the side or up. Having them swinging takes up way too much room. If you are in a tight spot it will make it hard to access an area. I highly believe that the coach needs to be designed so the person in the wheelchair should be able to independently operate the lift without anyone else. If you want it to be fully accessible this can be done and should e STANDARD. The lift should be able to lift 1,500 LBS. Under the kitchen sink it should be designed so if desired you can take the doors, side and kick plate below the sink off so that opens up that space under the sink to pull straight up to the sink and put your legs and feet under the sink. On top of the roof of the coach you should have some solar panels that ca collect sun while the coach is sitting or going down the road, but when you are sitting and not going down the road the solar panels will pop up and unfold so they will be capturing more sunlight. If you add a small windmill can be near the back of the coach that can retract and pop up so when you are sitting and in a windy area the wind at night can generate power. This would help you have and make this coach more Eco-Friendly and it could be mor hybrid. On the front of the vehicle while the coach is going down the road there can be some blades set up like little windmills that can spin while the coach is driving down the road and can help generate power. I do think this is a very nice coach and I believe that if there was some upgrades it would make it more accessible and so much nicer.
You had me wanting to buy but when you said that you have to have someone to operate the wheelchair lift you lost me. Two things not everyone have another person go with them and the last thing how the hell a person gets out if an emergency comes? I will look for something else.
its a bigger problem if you lose business cause you refuse to build one that will let a wheel chair user operate alone. very bad for business. until I saw that you don't have that kind of set up , I was considering going to you but now I think I will change my mind

I lovw your videos man the way you explain the ways you i cant just explain its very hard to find a good explainer like you keep it up man i love u
What do you have for good used accessible RV s and prices

no there was an adequate lip

there isn't very good acces for disabled drivers.
Need to transfer seat and hand controls and place for wheelchair. Unless took passenger seat out and rather not.
great presentation though
well it's nice but if I can't operate on my own Im not interested.
like other vehicles, it looks capable of connecting hand controls to connect to the gas/brake
I'd like this more if it came with the option of a bed over the cab.....

Okay son of my Maurice Harris looking at this.

it was stated that that is an option
No such thing as useless space when it comes to accessibilty.
