Thank you for a great video! Are the peonies on the video on their 2nd year blooming at your farm?

Where do peonies grow best? (sunny spot, semi-sun, or shade). How much water do peonies need? What is the best soil for peonies? What fertilizer should I apply to the peonies?

Tree peonies will take some shade... herbaceous and Itoh will need full sun for best blooms, although in your zone 7 some afternoon shade will be ok. Do not plant them too deep in your zone, they need a period of cold weather to bloom next year... water well, at least once a week if no rain, but make sure it drains well too, no wet feet... Prep the soil as described in the video, and each spring sprinkle all purpose fertilizer around the bush when you see the first shoots. Best verieties come with a sturdy stem that dont flop after a rain or wind - try the peonies from the video, group one, with Shirley Temple leading the way... stagger multiple cultivars to prolong a bloom period. If you only have a small patch, go for Itoh peonies, they bloom much longer and put on some unbelivable show. Good luck!!!!

Do you have peony roots for sale?

Google it, many vendors now in Feb still sell their stock unsold in the Fall. Plant right away, even in big pots and then transfer into your garden after the last freeze... dont expect blooms this year, but if they survive being dug in Fall and planted early Spring, next May you will be beautifully rewarded 🤗
