In my opinion it is because most of them are simple designs. The elements symbol doesmt have ownership, the eye is actually a religious symbol (no one knows it but it is what it is and its pretty consistenly drawn like that), a leaf, an X, a C...etc all that are pretty simple symbols nobody can claim ownership of in my opinion.

I think maybe the reason you think tattoos are less painful is because the ones you have are quite minimal/small- I find that tattoo pain is cumulative! the longer the session drags on the worse it bites haha

I agree. I find tattoos not painful at all. Got my first one on my ribs and everyone in the studio was “are you insane? This is the worst body part to get a tattoo”. But it didn’t hurt at all. I almost fell asleep 😂
It always depends what you get! She only has little lines and easy placements, of course it does not hurt as much. I mean everyone has a different pain level but bigger ones with shading are definitely harder to take.
I almost cried when I was getting my rib tattoo. But just in the middle of my chest, I felt that I was beaten. Also the sides of my body, omg that hurts. Like I didn't think that it hurts that much but definitely my most painful tattoo.
im 15 and i obviously have no tattoos lol but i have 8 piercings in total. My 1. lobe piercings, on one ear second lobe piercing and in the other ear i have 3rd lobe piercing skipping the second (i think it looks cool) then my helix, tragus, conch piercings and yesterday got my daith done ☺️ also forward helix piercings tend to be more painful because it has more nerve endings 🌞 and if you wanna do more piercings i recommend thinking about the placement and how it will look later on so you don’t just put piercings random places and then regret them :)

I started with just an extra long barbell that reached in both holes, but it got tangled in my hair a lot before I cut it lol. I think it’s been 3 months now since I got it?
I have my upper cartilage, nose, conch and lobes pieced. And the upper cartilage and my nose were the most painful to me. My conch piercing didn’t hurt me at all it just got super swollen afterwards

Also the placements, the arms generally don't hurt at all. I think if she got a sternum tattoo or rib she would change her mind 😂 maybe not but 🤷♀️
Yer shading hurts so much more but it’s weird mine is 2-3 cm in size and in a way I enjoyed the pain. It’s true what they say “tattoos are addictive”
