When you find your child is struggling, lacking in something...just give your best help to let him achieve it.
Its very difficult when husband is awakened and wants to grow kids in a particular way but wife is still in old patterns and doesnt guide kids or agree with husband idk how to deal with ths .
A parent who listens and teaches their child to trust him/herself.
You know what amazes me? 2 years ago before I found my own form of awakening, I would have no idea what she was talking about. Yet here I am today mesmerized by how much passion her souls seeks to share the truth. The tragedy here is that majority of the people today would be lost in this poetry because the paradigm of which she speaks is on a whole different vibration.

This lady is so awesome. I am also surrounded by people with PhDs but I have yet not met anyone who is so eloquent. I am not just speaking about the coherence of the messages, just the sheer volume and fluidity is beyond my imagination.

It's not about not having the vibration to receive the message it's about the vehicle that carries the message that is simple English for common people is missing. She is poetic but doesn't use words that can deliver her message to millions. Especially if you are not a native speaker of language or well versed in English. Xxx

There is nothing more true that as you follow the spiritual path all else in lower vibration falls away and one finds a place where not many others reside. This is the SHIFT of Consciousness. It is a price to pay.. being by yourself; even though we are really never alone. Leaving the duality of the 3rd dimension, all the programming, all that was programmed within us by our parents, teachers, clergy, society... knowing they only passed down what they knew. Letting that ALL go. When you KNOW that you feel different, but don't know what to do about it... when you only want to fit in but still don't. When you want to feel love, but is a false love, where you create unhealthy boundaries to MAYBE experience this feeling of being loved. The only way out is to become your true authentic self. And, when one ALLOWS this life to unfold, life becomes easier and joy can be experienced. And you stop letting others beliefs in... this path asks for letting go of everything you ever thought to be true. The 3rd dimension is dismantling rapidly. The patterns will still remain and acted out by many. That is not about you. Other´peoples stuff is NOT about you. When you can learn how to establish what is not yours, and let go of beliefs and patterns that you have allowed in and taken on you will discover that life can flow with ease and grace as you create what you cognitively choose to create. this is not about the rational mind. You will be living in a 4th, 5th dimension as you walk about and live your lives here on earth as a light being. You can not take your baggage with you on this trip. We are doing it; bringing light back onto this planet, and it is exciting. It's challenging. It's something that we have never done before on this planet. Let's Do This! \Pass this on to your children. Blessing.

This was a very informative lecture, yet a bit difficult to follow, because of all the difficult words and technical terms used. maybe use more lamen terms to reach a broader audience.

I would think the point of this lecture was to awaken people. In that case you can't exclude anyone. Even poor or not wel educated parents would benefit from this information if it were more digestable.

Every single word is wise and true but I'd call the video "how to be a better PERSON" .
I am 26 and not a parent and totally understood everything she said but for most people this will go over their heads. Just because you’re spiritually awoken doesn’t mean everyone else is. You could have explained this in a simpler way

what makes a great parent? Not wasting time listening to the vacuous. Could have been said in a paragraph (don't buy into your programming) leaving room for something worth uttering.
And the the sophomoric attempt to be constantly "high energy" is just nails on a chalkboard drone. You consider this public speaking!?

Thank you Dr. Shefali. It truly was an eye opening discourse. I'm working on this aspect these days and truly a child let's us realize the value of the moment and triggers those areas which we are unaware of. The birth of a child is truly an awakening.

She must have. But boy it's compelling and powerful.
When it is understood this flows naturally, you just show up and deliver. She is a channel, she has seen and knows and speaks from her heart. You have this gift as well. All this is already within you.
Ok, now that I have all this information and I know the "Theory", which I already know for few years now...

What does this have to do with parenting? Idk wtf she’s talking about tbh. Ok so what do I do when my kids are going ape sht? Lol
I am a parent and came here so I genuinely want to make a difference in my children's lives, but lost the connection as I found it boring. Beauty lies in simplicity. Rather than showing off your vocabulary it would have been best she delivered in simple terms to attract a larger, far greater audience. She is an Asian and hence she would have wanted to prove how well she knew the English language. That is crystal clear. I have listened to many Western speakers whose native language is English and they always speak in simple terms. Even the Royal Family does. You may be a clinical psychologist but you don't have the faintest idea how to hold the audience interest.

I’ve been in therapy over twenty years with no real paradigm shift. The triple play of trauma has become my brokenness unbearable to severe. Brilliant to hear this dimension is only temporary. I’ve been diagnosed with MSA-C and. Complex PTSD. My childhood was hell which screwed my limbic system. The ACE test can stop this abuse and give Dr.Shefali another important hole to FILL IN. Disassociation is the common thread between all survivors of abuse. I’m in a wheelchair while my abuser is retired and traveling the world. I know life’s not fair. She’s a great therapist who has shined a light on this so understood subject.

Wow, speaking agitated for 40 minutes straight and saying - nothing! That's an remarkable. None of the word salads make any sense. E.g. "find your true soul but then you realize you did not need it in the first place", etc. etc. are just empty phrases. She did not say a single thing that will make anyone a better parent. What an utter waste of time and complete joke this is. But I get it, Oprah pushes her so she "must be special". No. Not at all.
I agree. Yelling through most of it. Speaking at, not to. But watch, we will be accused of not being "awake" enough to hear the message.

She does make some enlighting statements for the lay man if you are able to remove all the excessive word pollution she loves to use. One concept I found provoking that she mentioned is that we operate from a place of scarcity and not abundance, which has an impact on how we raise and limit kids.

Inspirational and mind blowing! What more can you ask for ...a talk on good parenting that takes you to the altar of spiritual awakening. What makes a great parent? Transcending the ego illusion, with the child as the teacher, clearing up the pile you amassed, making the unconscious conscious and waking up.
Honestly, this woman is so damn gorgeous, I'll listen to anything she says.
And whereas I have learned a lot from her books, and enjoyed her perspective...

Stopping listening at the point where she said everyone should have a child. No. Here's just another person trying to push the dominant paradigm on others, as she was preaching against. If you don't want kids, don't let people pressure you into doing it.

Oh my SOUL (!) I desperately want to hear your message but I am afraid I am too much unawakened, too much unconscious to know what you are saying. You are obviously talking to souls much more advanced in the journey of awakening than me. But I will for ever try to get past my split even though I have been trying for years and still somehow doesn't seem to be able to break free and move on from the limitations of my upbringing.
Hanlie you may not consciously know what Shafali is conveying, but in listening you will gain more as your inner 'knowing' is stimulated further from its slumber. I reckon if we maintain our serious intent for finding meaning, yet not be too earnest and grasping in the quest, we are guided...and in time looking 'in', mindful in relation to the 'outer' goings on in life, it will be consciously known to you you have moved on/become more integrated (as Catherine Morgan describes in her comment). I had a time when younger when I was so intently trying to 'wake up' and find meaning (through too much intellectual application I must say) I kinda stood before nothing so decided to ease off, get on with life, but keep mindful, curious and open. I can relate well to Shafali's wisdom now. It has been lovely to find the connection of paths. The question for me now is how I engage in life, living out this meaning. I am finding Jordan Peterson illuminating. All the best on your journey of breaking free of the limitations you have to let go of.

I love this, however a few points I disagree on....
1. There is nothing wrong with following your cultural traditions while being yourself and yes, you can do and be both. Honoring the ancestors is a beautiful and sacred thing.
2. I never wanted children, had 2 accidents and of course loved them anyways but definitely took awhile for either of them to fully wake me up to how much I sucked at parenting. Then I had 2 more out of nothing but wanting to give the gift of life because I finally recognized one of my purposes on the earth, given by nature.
3. My kids have all chosen their paths in life and so far all gave chosen healthy ones, and in no way did I ever tell them they couldn't do something or shouldn't. They've all chosen their own spiritual beliefs, partners, and career paths or parental/spousal paths. However, even nature shows that the patterns are natural and supposed to happen this way. Evolution is constant.

It seems quite a few persons are not able to follow what she says, but truth be told from my own experience unless you are in some way open and on a spiritual path you may not really get the point, also Language vocabulary may be another issue. She us most eloquent and to express what she's talking about by use of Language and intellect is not easy as most of these needs to be experienced and quite difficult to explain.
Yet she is able to do so, I just love that about her.

What a speech. Did not expect a spiritual angle from this talk till her words poured out. Resonated with words of Upanishads and Gita asking the human to arise, recalibrate, evolve and liberate from the clutches of the duality and attachments.
When you are already familiar with teachers like Krishnamurti, Nirsargadatta, Marashi etc, it is quite easy to understand what this beautiful soul is saying.
Otherwise it may seem difficult for others who haven't had this approach, to hear this deep wisdom
