I find the new Beautifying Palette to be quite interesting. I have the medium deep one (tan skin here). The colors are so subtle you really have to build them up (although they look very pigmented in the pan) to see any effect. They literally beautify the skin and I guess that is the point. As the day goes on my skin has a nice glow but not in the traditional blush highlighter sense. To your point I love Spotlight and I love the Multi-Glow highlighter - but they create a completely different look than the Beautifying Palette.I feel the Beautifying Palette is great for someone who likes a glow but doesn't want an "in your face" Spotlight effect. I'll probably get the Fair Medium as well since I feel it's not so much about skin tone but whether you want a more rosy effect or a warmer effect. Thanks for your review!
Pretty colors today. CT usually doesn’t work for me either. I have an Iconic London blush and highlighter duo that looks close to the top row. I forget to try blush on my hood. It looked stunning with the olive/gold shadow.
This palette does work for me. The first blush has a warmth to it - but not too warm at all and the second color, while bright, is so enlivening on my tone. I was pleasantly surprised!
What a beautiful fresh look with a slightly smoldering eye -- love it on you! Though the highlighters are quite highlighting in a *real* highlighter way, they're quite pretty on you with the light hand you used. They'll be beautiful bit more built up for a night out, too. And the Rose Inc. shadow is lovely -- how was the wear time? The green is gorgeous!
the wear time was great on the rose inc. It ends up feeling more like powder than cream, ie it dries down, but is continues to look like silk on the eye.
Just love that eyeshadow & your darker brows, beautiful look. I go back & forth with the Charlotte Tilbury blush palette. I bought the Hourglass Elephant palette & just ordered the new Chantecaille blush on beautylish so I think I should just forget it, that’s not to say I will 😂. Thank you ❤
Thank you for featuring and demoing this CT face palette and the Rose Inc. khaki duo. I had been hoping you would review both of these items. Totally agree with your statement about “gold skin.” The khaki eye look is very nice - I think the Dior palette offers more. Lovely to see Lucy again.
💗 the CT palette! And I agree, even in my mid-30s I still prefer “not too much” looking makeup. It looks more elegant and forgiving. Makeup is supposed to refine and elevate our features, not as some heavily hand-paint clown🤡 mask.
Thankfully, I think the "mask" look is not as popular was it was in the last few years ago when it seemed everyone was using stage techniques for real life!
Hi Kiki. That Rose Inc shadow duo is VERY pretty. Will have to search this out in the UK. I think Space NK carries this brand. Sephora finally has launched in the UK too, so hoping for good things to come from them.❤
The CT recent release of highlighter has Glitter..I heard that same influencer say that once you got past the overspray the glitter disappears. Like a schmuck I believed that and it was not so- my grand kid got it. Yay me for being a sucker 😅
Glad to know it wasn't just me, I used it several times and the glitter was still there. I'm sure your grand kid was happy, though. This one has a beautiful texture, looks very pretty on the skin.
Laughed at your 1940s ad. Charlotte Tilbury herself allegedly wears makeup to bed so her husband doesn't see her without it, so that fits. And yes, I have the expereince of CT lip colors going orange on me and face products being too orange or yellow. You look lovely and I esp like that lip cclor on you.
@@TheHoodedLid Yeah, me, too! I assume she sleeps on her back only. I would have makeup everywhere because I'm mostly a side- sleeper. (I know that supposedly creates more wrinkles but I'm doing it anyway.) Also, I have read what eye doctors say about wearing eye makeup to sleep- it's definitely not recommended!
I've always found it hard to get a good foundation shade - light medium neutral - but it seems to me companies are making more very light shades - which is great - without making very light color products (blush bronzer highlighter) - which is not great.

Yes, the Dior offers more variety - but for people who want something simple - I think it looks like silk on the eye.

It seems that cool toned, light skin ladies are being left out of this market. Hard to find products that suit my skin shade and tone, sadly.
