So pleased that couple won. THe mill couple not turning up for the Richmonnd,s breakfast was totally out of order, incredibly rude, especially as they,d eaten there and enjoyed it the night before.
Irene, what a little firecracker, if I was traveling without my kids I would stay at hers and trade some good banter. I would love to stay at the Meadowsweet, if I can find the time to get over there when i`m back in the UK. Nelson and Mary seem to complement each other very well, he`s a proper gent and I really like her energy. Del and Roy seem like a good laugh and wear their hearts on their sleeves but their place is not for me and my family. What can you say about the miseries? A lovely property but no, you just know that they would be serving you through a gritted smile and as soon as the door closes they are sticking knives in your back.
(spoiler if you haven't seen this episode) It was so funny when that awful couple came in third. I was so sure they were going to be second. A couple of things they said and did made my jaw drop, quite literally. They loved the dinner over at Del and Roys yet they refused to eat breakfast there?? I fail to see the logic there. They only did that to be hateful, and you get a third place for that, hah!
Hosts are just as important as the atmosphere and cleanliness of an establishment. There's 3 places I'd definitely stay with, and 1 I would never look at.
Notice how Amanda continued to deny that the dirty wine glasses were a fault -- she said it wasn't worth talking about but she brought it up -- her husband admitted it was an oversight, but she labeled it nit picking -- well, it isn't nit picking if you want a glass of wine!
I LOVE that old lady..would love to stay in her hotel and meet such a nice warm welcoming person..I can imagine her hotel is truly a home away from home..then if I'm in a budget..I'll stay in those two guy's budget hotel :)

I was surprised and sad that the (lovely) boys bothered to open the envelope from the Thirsk couple. I was hoping they would have slid it back to them unopened and just said they weren't interested. Unfortunately they didn't and then ended up saying they felt kicked again. Poor lads. The place wasn't that great but Amanda behaved really badly most of the way through. I don't think Irene is anything like her, I just think Irene was trying to support the others.
The lovely couple won ! Amanda does not seem to understand that she is in the "hospitality" business and that a lot of graciousness is required . She is too rough .
I am ecstatic at the outcome! Winners deserved it. Wiped that superior almost-smirk on Amanda's face. Towards the end I think she actually wanted to cry. She was SO SURE they'd win because they had used every gimmick in the book. I'm sure she spent a lot of bitter sleepless nights wishing she had underpaid the winners and complained more. Ha! 🥳

She is mean, hateful and a trashy person inside as well as outside. No tablemanners, no sense of how to dress or how to do her hair. I wonder why she is so miserable. All the people in that show where lovely. Sure, nobody is perfect. But one could see the efforts being made. The only one who was not appreciating none was Amanda. Ungrateful person. If it is true that their B&B is closed I would say "Well deserved".
Amanda Mommy never ever hugged you, so the only way u know warmth is if u are Perfect.Even ur husband said u put the pillows wrong,the guys spotted ur dirty dust cloth & shattered ur perfect world.I don't know if hugs would even help u at this point! I suspect Daddy was cold & abusive too.
Most bizarre criticism ever. I didn't like this couple either but your emphasis on her parents is bizarre and reveals more about your own character flaws than hers. Criticise her, but in an appropriate way.
This was such revenge, that trout of a woman Amanda is just absolutely vile with her attitude. You are in a competition you put up with any accommodation it was a pure insult not to pay them.
Really hope the boys are on there way to a chain of hotels they are so nice happy and calm especially dealing with Mike and Amanda what a lovely establishment facilities but horrendous hosts just plain nasty

If there was such a thing as being "under the top" that would describe Amanda's character perfectly. Well, not really but I'm far too polite to say anything further about her. I'm tempted though.
