Yeah, I know I am being pedantic, but those falls have been viewed by people for thousands of years. The first white European to view them might have been in 1855.

Thanks for sharing your trip. A gentle correction: David Livingston may have been the First European to see Victoria Falls, but the Indigenous Africans have lived in the area for centuries even millennia.

Great point! Thank you for pointing out that other people lived there, very WOKE of you. You should congratulate yourself for how very insightful you are. Any observations on Antartica? How do you identify?

@@charleyjohnson4823 I'm about the least "woke" person you'll ever meet, and I too flinched when Renee said the "first person to see the falls was..." To me it's similar to the common phrase "Columbus 'discovered' America". Neither are factually even close, woke or not. I would guess that the locals around the falls find it cringe worthy as well.

EMOTIONAL This is the BEST RUclips video I have ever seen (and I watch alot of YT) From blowing me away with Victoria Falls to making me cry with you on the zip line and the kids' fantastically shot (and terrifying) plummet into the gorge. Then Keith's "cloud 9" helicopter ride also had me crying. All the 'feel-good' family moments that make me love you guys. Plus lots of gorgeous African vistas, too. Thanks so much for sharing this with me! Peace & Prayers.

I was in Africa a few years ago. The last few seconds of the VID hits the nail on the head except you forgot the biggest thing that I took away from my trip.
Although they may be poor, living in the dirt, and in short supply of food, everyone that I encountered were GREATFULL for everything that they had. For instance, one man may live in an old run-down house, he is glad and proud that he has that house because he could be living in a shanty. The man in the shanty is proud and grateful that he is living in a shanty because he could be living under a bridge. The man under the bridge is proud and grateful that he has his bridge because he could be living in a box on the street. The man in the box is proud and grateful that he has his box and street to live in.
My takeaway was no matter what you wish you have, always be grateful and enjoy what you do, because you can always be worse off.
PS: Thanks guys for sharing your experience, I truly miss Africa and your videos have been able to bring a little piece of it back for me to enjoy.

You are right Keith, I went into the Army Jan 1963 and after basic and AIT I was sent to Korea. At that time they were just starting to build roads they crushed the rock by hand and the women carried the crushed stone in a basket on their backs and heads. Then the men would spread to make a roadway. By the time I reached my base, Camp Red Cloud the village near there was so backwards but after the war, which my base was 12 miles as the crow flies to DMZ that separates the south from the North Korea. Every young man age 18 and above needs to go in the military that will also make you proud you’re from America!!!
I might add really enjoy the Vietnam Era music as I was in almost entire of Vietnam (1963-1973). I’m now a 100% Disabled Vietnam Veteran and 3 deployments during my time. Really enjoy your videos, keep ‘em coming!!! BTW did you ever fly the Huey, now that’s a cool hello!

Wow I found this channel last week and I just cant stop watching. I love this fam! Blessed. This is such a blessing they are sharing their experiences with us. Hallelujah. I love travel and to show my children awesome places but we haven't been able to travel for the past 5 years because of circumstances. However the best is yet to come just around the corner and this family really inspires me to get bold in travel again.

Thx for the video - spectacular as usual. When you set sail - I'd head South & give the gulf & ME a wide detour ! Whichever way you go Fair Winds and Following Seas 😊

Thank you for saying that! I've lived all over the world and I believe Americans are so spoiled when they complain all the time. As you said let them travel and then appreciate what we have here in the USA. Travel and education is the best way to make a better world for all. I loved your trip and every part of the trip you showed us. Your kids are so so blessed. Thank you so much.

We’re blessed to have all we have in America, and spending 15 months in Iraq, made me appreciate my country so much more than I ever did growing up, I was raised poor, but I was taught to be appreciative of what I have!

well said Keith, those final words. Every teenager in the civilized world should be send for a short while to Africa to get a different perspective of the world we are living in. Changed my life for sure...

I think in situations like these @9:00 the best idea is probably to just mention all the different material strength ratings like with for example Dynema 8mm break load is 7150kg.

Keith...I live in Vancouver, BC, Canada. I had a Cessna 185 on floats for 14 years and flew it all over British Columbia and Southeast Alaska. We visited many high mountain lakes and deep fjords in the area. Given your background, you should try flying floats in the wilderness. You would love it. I also instruct in glider acrobatics in the mountains of BC. Used to fly in airshows. If you ever get to this part of the world come fly upside down with me.
