I like that she has her real face (unlike the brunette one who was always on Rogan) and also that she no longer rips off the cadence of Sarah Silverman and Amy Schumer. She's literally finding her own voice and I hope she doesn't use theirs any more. And to top it all off she's VEGAN! Go girl!
She’s still doing an impression of Amy Schumer. Her entire style of comedy is lifted from Schumer…it’s why NIKKI and AMY don’t talk anymore.

@@Rainnjones just my observations. NIKKI was besties with SCHUMER many years ago. Amy put NIKKI in many episodes of Amy’s Comedy Central series, “Inside Amy Schumer”. NIKKI was Amy’s protege…until NIKKI started COMPLETELY copying Amy’s style of standup. It’s that “misdirection” style. Look at Amy’s 2012 Comedy Central special…her joke delivery is EXACTLY how NIKKI structures her jokes. Amy didn’t take too kindly to that, and cut off ties with NIKKI…

I like her roasting and interview. The HBO wasn't near as good.
A roast and a stand up special are completely different
That's exactly what I was thinking. When I saw her on the Brady roast, I looked her up on other roasts and thought she is hilarious. Then I looked her up for her standup and I didn't think she was that funny.

Her HBO special actually left me concerned for her. Her show was like a cry for help. She's seriously lost and I hope she gets help and finds joy beyond the most superficial aspects of life
They have writers for the roasts. The worked up Netflix hype is just a promo for the special. And her HBO special will no doubt have tons of sex jokes

Yeah, they do. But that doesn’t mean all the jokes are from writers. In the past Nikki has talked about her own written jokes vs jokes written for her at the roasts.
Roasts are usually a mix of comedians and celebrities. The celebrities are usually the ones using the writers. But people can definitely use their own jokes. Even gronk couldn’t help himself from going “wow. I even wrote that joke myself” after one of his jokes.
It’s not the scandal you think it is.

what's gonna be the ultimate test for her is if she can handle the jabs being thrown back at her, which will happen one day. shes hilarious don't get me wrong, but its very easy to dish it, not so much to take it. very few jabs seemed to be thrown at her at that roast, because she's still relatively unknown. I know so many funny outgoing people that crumble and cry when they get a dose of their own medicine.
She has done several roasts and definitely taken her fair share of jabs. There are several clips here on youtube. Take a look for yourself.

There’s typically celebrities at Roasts. It casts a wide net for an audience. The people who don’t typically watch roasts might tune in to watch a Kardashian. It’s pretty obvious
