And, yes, JD wasn't there, but they probably didn't have a boy who was willing to sing for the part, why is everyone freaking out? ITS A MINI MUSICAL They won't have every darn part and character, and heathers wasnt really school appropriate anyway. whatever anyone else says, I think they did absolutely amazing, and it was well put together for it only being 10 minutes

Not everyone can hit the key that the actors have and they dont have to sing it the same way. Just as long as they go high and low at the right moments, they can sing at different pitches.
Kalea Bunny they can sing high and low, but not off key. They were off key. It's different then singing high and low different then the normal musical.
Kayla OBrien its not exactly something they can control if they sing off Key, vocal cords do strange things sometimes, they can rip, they can make your voice crack, its not like everyone can sing perfectly

Guys the actors in Heathers had many years of voice training to be able to hit such high belts. These girls tried their best and did a pretty good job. Either start giving them helpful criticism or just keep your rude opinions to yourself.

The second "store" in candy store was really good and some solo parts were good, but could be better with more practice. Dynamic balance as well, Macnimera could have been louder, and though I'm glad Chandler was the loudest one, she gets a bit forteissi-issi-issimo, blending the others into the background.

The Kengeki Goombah Honey I'm a sophomore in high school and I can hit everything perfectly. I've only listened to the songs a few times. They are highly inexperienced.
Why is everyone so mean? I've seen some people really stepping in saying that this was "shitty" and that they can do better. They should really get off their high horses (we don't have proof of their singing so no reason to believe that they could do better). And instead of bashing these talented girls that probably didn't have a lot of time to practise, and were really limited in what they could and couldn't do, and maybe give some constructive criticism. Seriously. They did well. Of course it won't be like the freaking original musical. And if you think that you can do better then at least give these girls some tips to improve themselves instead of putting them down without a valid reason.
People are pointing out what’s wrong with the performance. So they should know those are the points that should be worked on. When they point out what was bad with vocals, they should be practicing. They weren’t always harmonized. They should be in a room together trying to get their voices to match and sound like one. Some times some singers were too quiet or too loud. Another thing they can do in a room together so they match everyones volume.
I’m absolutely in love with this! All the kids did such a good job! I hate when people leave negative comments on videos like this, it’s obvious there’s talent there. They shouldn’t need extras and other people to balance their harmonizing. Adding more people doesn’t change the fact that it would still sound off. They should have been practicing harmonizing with their fellow cast mates. That could’ve been done when they were rehearsing for the performance.

I didn't really get sticking Seventeen Reprise right after candy store. The story was butchered into basically, just music instead of a musical. other dottt it's for a competition which states that the piece can only be 10 minutes long and sometimes characters have to be cut in order for a story to be formed into those 10 minutes

They can only be 10 minutes and a lot of the time characters have to be cut in order to make a story out of the songs. Also for a mini, only 10 people can be in it. There's maxis which can have 11+. So yea lol
oh my god, this is so good! it's a great representation of the musical, in the 10 minutes it is. these kids are so talented in singing, dancing, and acting, and i can see any one of them having a future in musical theatre! best of luck to all of them, i wish them all success and i can't wait to see them grow and develop in the theatre industry

Everytime i watch an off broadway version of heathers, i always wonder how illegal heathers did it so badly and every other version uses people with actual talent.
I kinda wanna do this in my school. We are suppose to do a play about bulling/manipulation and we don't have anything yet. I wanted to do Heather's but it's full of death, sex, disorders, and etc. We can't do a play like that in a middle school. This might actually work out if we take out all those stuff and make it into just bullying and manipulation.

Veronica was so good. In fact, for youngsters, they were all phenomenal, a job VERY well done. The choreography blew me away!
