Hei Brother about your question about why do we have a different God if the stories are similair?
I will explain it to you. You have to understand that we have ONE GOD that has send multiple books the Torah, Injeel (book of Jesus) and the Quran.
God send Moses to the children of Israel to free them but the children of Israel continued to disobey God by worshipping other Gods, rejecting prophets and killing Prophets. Example Israel wanted to get rid of Jesus they didnt accept him.
So God (Allah) Made Jesus a prophet to again send to the children of Israel to spread to message en guide people to God. But the Jew (children of Isreal) didnt want Jesus. The mistake the Christians made is worshiping Jesus instead of God(Allah) Christians call him the father. In the Quran its made clear that Jesus is a prophet and not God. But send by God to spread the message. here is a example of the Quran.
And ˹on Judgment Day˺ Allah will say, “O Jesus, son of Mary! Did you ever ask the people to worship you and your mother as gods besides Allah?” He will answer, “Glory be to You! How could I ever say what I had no right to say? If I had said such a thing, you would have certainly known it. You know what is ˹hidden˺ within me, but I do not know what is within You. Indeed, You ˹alone˺ are the Knower of all unseen. 5:116
Those who say, “Allah is the Messiah, son of Mary,” have certainly fallen into disbelief. The Messiah ˹himself˺ said, “O Children of Israel! Worship Allah-my Lord and your Lord.” Whoever associates others with Allah ˹in worship˺ will surely be forbidden Paradise by Allah. Their home will be the Fire. And the wrongdoers will have no helpers. 5:72.
So Christian made Jesus a God. So God (Allah) send the final message and revelantions to Mohamed (peace be upon him) to bring people back to God Allah. Mohamed (peace be upon him) is not the most important prophet but the last. We also accept prophets like David, Solomon, Noah, Abraham, Mozes, Jesus, Adam may peace be upon them all. Here is what the Qurans says about it.
Say, ˹O believers,˺ “We believe in Allah and what has been revealed to us; and what was revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and his descendants; and what was given to Moses, Jesus, and other prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them. And to Allah we all submit.” Quran 2:136
We have revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ this Book with the truth, as a confirmation of previous Scriptures and a supreme authority on them. So judge between them by what Allah has revealed, and do not follow their desires over the truth that has come to you. To each of you We have ordained a code of law and a way of life. If Allah had willed, He would have made you one community, but His Will is to test you with what He has given ˹each of˺ you. So compete with one another in doing good. To Allah you will all return, then He will inform you ˹of the truth˺ regarding your differences. Quran 5:48
Indeed, We gave Moses the Book and sent after him successive messengers. And We gave Jesus, son of Mary, clear proofs and supported him with the holy spirit.1 Why is it that every time a messenger comes to you ˹Israelites˺ with something you do not like, you become arrogant, rejecting some and killing others? Quran 2:78
Do not argue with the People of the Book unless gracefully, except with those of them who act wrongfully. And say, “We believe in what has been revealed to us and what was revealed to you. Our God and your God is ˹only˺ One. And to Him we ˹fully˺ submit.” Quran 29:46
