BOTSWANA TRIP PLAYLIST: • Three Weeks to See EVE...

Join us on our mission to discover the best of what Botswana has to offer. We spent three weeks in Botswana to try and uncover the diverse natural environments and the wealth of wildlife. Botswana has a huge amount to offer the self-drive enthousiast, from the dry heat of the Kalahari, through the Okavango Delta to the Salt Pans of Makgadigadi.
So much out there - too much for one video, so here's the playlist as we explore the Kalahari, Maun, Moremi, Khwai, Chobe, Kasane, Vic Falls, Elephant Sands, Nxai Pans, Makgadigadi and Khama Rhino Sanctuary.
We spent a couple of days in Maun doing a cultural tour and a scenic helicopter flight, as well as a Mokoro trip in the Khwai concession. Vic Falls was an amazing bucket list visit as well as the obligatory sunset cruise from Chobe Safari Lodge. We slept with the elephants at Elephant Sands, but even more so at Nxai Pan. And Kubu Island really is as cool as everyone says it is!
We drove about 3400 kms, had an extremely hot time during the heatwave, bailed out of the Kalahari, learned about the local customs and culture and found a couple of cheetahs! The other Big Five were also ticked off with a lucky lion sighting and a leopard crossed our path. Khama Rhino Sanctuary is just off the charts with the lengths they (have to) go to to protect the rhinos.
The diversity is surprising and unexpected, from the dry and dusty CKGR to the wetlands of Khwai and the tranquility of the Chobe river.
We hope this will inspire and excite you to visit this fascinating, beautiful country!
