There is a tool. You’d have to look into it because I don’t remember exactly what it’s called, but it splits the genesis sound file into the individual tracks then I put together the ones I think would make up the “backing track” :)
I think the software he's referring to is called foobar2000. If you know who Carpathia 808 is, he uses it in is videos. You also need a plugin called the foo game emu player, and the actual game music files (not just an mp3 or something like that), but as far as I know, that's how t's done
