yeah and not to mention the tax free monthly salary! Basically if you want you can save the majority of the whole year’s money earned which most people tend to forget
Great point. You need to compare your salary to the average person not the pros in the NBA or WNBA. WNBA makes 3x as much as the average American. They should compare themselves to the average American not to players in NBA when looking at differences in salary.
For anyone who's interested: After the regular season, he finished 10th in scoring, 9th in assists, 5th in steals. Total season stats including the playoff run were: 16.5 points per game 4.7 assists per game 1.84 steals per game 36.7% 3-point percentage 47.25% field goal percentage Great rookie year, keep it up!
Having all those expenses covered allows you to save, which puts you way above average. Being on a Cinderella story team with an on fire fan base? That's GD priceless.
I love that there's a pocket on RUclips now, of guys that talk about what it's like playing overseas in each of these different countries and what to expect. Back in the old days when a guy will go overseas it was because his NBA career was over. We had no way to know what it was like or who any of the players were or how much they made, it's so cool now that people are seeing all of the different options they have if they want to try and make a living playing basketball. So many guys who probably could have made serious money overseas gave it all up because they had no idea that was possible.
Thanks Tucker! You really shined in your first year and have a spot in every Nokia fans heart. Would be great to see you return some day to play or coach. A question: You mentioned you had a lot of time to spare, would you recommend the team organizing more activities to the foreign players? One thing I had in mind is to participate as coaches in the juniors practices.
Thanks for the comment! I think some imports might be interested in that, while others maybe don't as much haha. I personally think interacting with the younger players is great and I probably wish I did that a bit more this year. Overall it seems like guys usually don't mind the time on their own, but giving the option to do more activities can't be a bad thing!
You've been to Finland, now it's time to come to Estonia. BC Kalev/Cramo awaits you. Our coach Heiko Rannula really loves intelligent and versatile players like you.
I did the same thing many years ago in Switzerland. Your video brings back some great memories, Thank you. I played other places and experienced some unbelievable things as well. These memories and friendships will be some of your greatest. Enjoy every moment, and you are right, it isn't always about the money. Best of Luck going forward.

Money isn’t always everything, yes you need it to pay bills, etc, but you got to live one of your dreams playing professional basketball. I like how you mentioned the money last and all the life experiences first. Best of luck next season!
I think that's what all experts now agree on: If you don't have enough money to cover your basic needs, more money makes quite a difference. As soon as you have enough for not having to worry every day about it other factors get much more important for a happy life.

It doesn't matter where you are or who you're with, really, when you're following a dream. You'll probably look back one day on your time spent in Finland as one of the best times of your life. Enjoy.
Congrats on an anazing first pro season. Noticed Patrick Tape in the video, he played for one of my teams rivals in Britain his rookie year and was an absolute baller.
Sounds like you had a great time, wishing you all the best and that you get to play more years. Seen alot of us players that went overseas and then the first year was their only year they played as they did not pursue it with all their energy. Finnland is a good start, would love to see you in one of the german leagues next. German Pro-A or Pro-B might be a good fit seeing that you had a good time in Finnland. They have a good level of play and a bunch of talent but there is still quite a gap towards the big league where they play in Euroleague competition etc. So alot of room to grow from there.
late to this video but really enjoyed it, appreciate the honesty of how much you made as its always hard to get a straight answer about how much people are making playin overseas, best of luck in year 2!
That’s big time, wish you all the best of success, health and fun during your career! 💪🏼 Germany is also a great destination for pro basketball in Europe, besides the top destinations like Spain, Greece or Italy

Looking forward to more this summer. How about one on your off-season workouts or anything you are specifically working on for next year?

Thank you for tuning in. Germany would definitely be a great option!
If you love your job and you are excited to wake up and go to work, then your one of the lucky ones.
Money is energy. Doing what you love attracts abundance and wealth. Keep it up and live your best life!
Thank you, that is the plan!
Good luck bro, you have the right mindset. Have fun!
Thank you, I definitely will!
It doesn't matter where you are or who you're with, really, when you're following a dream. You'll probably look back one day on your time spent in Finland as one of the best times of your life. Enjoy.
100% true. Thank you.
Congrats on an anazing first pro season. Noticed Patrick Tape in the video, he played for one of my teams rivals in Britain his rookie year and was an absolute baller.
Oh very cool, yeah Pat was a beast for us this year!
Awesome video dude. And Congrats on the Chip!
Thank you!
Great story. I loved it. Basketball lenguage is spoken everywhere ❤
Congrats, i wish you success in season 2!!
Appreciate it!
Good job love to have you Back!!!
Thank you!
Hell yeah, this is really interesting even though I dont play basketball. Also, it must be so great playing with infront of these fans!
It was so much fun, our fans were incredible all year!
late to this video but really enjoyed it, appreciate the honesty of how much you made as its always hard to get a straight answer about how much people are making playin overseas, best of luck in year 2!
Great story! You'll have this experience for the rest of your life. I hope you do a 2nd year- you have a really nice deal with them!
That’s big time, wish you all the best of success, health and fun during your career! 💪🏼 Germany is also a great destination for pro basketball in Europe, besides the top destinations like Spain, Greece or Italy
Thank you!! Would love to play in any of those places.
Love the video, thanks for sharing and taking the time to do it. You will have a long and successful career in Europe!
Thank you!!
A lot of engineers cannot save that much after their mortgage or rent. You’re doing g great and having fun. Hopefully you have many years of success. Can’t wait for the updates.
Colgate raider representing well, jersey boy too lets go!
I try!
Saw this video in recommendation and i really liked the whole video. Your sallary is not big for basketball player, but you got a very got sense for vlogging.
Thank you!
Oh man! When we talked on the podcast I thought you were talking Euros (but I also thought the exchange rate was better on the Euro side so it didn't make too much difference). Excellent video. Looking forward to more this summer. How about one on your off-season workouts or anything you are specifically working on for next year?
I think that is a great idea!
Keep going back. If you became a household name you can make so much from sponsorships there as you will stand out more. But go play for Seinajoki instead :)
this is incredible man congratulations on your new career, everybody watching and I are very proud! officially subscribed to your channel to follow your bball journey💯
Wow thank you for the support!!

Winning the Baseball Swiss championship and playing the the Eurocup in Croatia in 2019 was the best moment of my life. Haha I played a year before and after in Australia and now I'm a permanent resident lol playing overseas changed my life!
