@@AnthonyLaibStudio i would like to see a movie about Imortan Joe Rising up to power. And the end of that movie,we see dementus capturing furiosa mother.
During the special features of Fury Road, George (I think) mentions that part of what makes the Gigahorse so impressive is that in a world where there’s hardly one of anything left, Immortant Joe has two of everything, including 1950s Cadillacs. And now Dementus has three of something
@@DA-bn9ny yes , you’re right , particularly in that it would be hard to make one look convincing and appear to carry an actor on filmed location despite the modelling and texturing being easy. Problem is very few animators have much sense of realworld physics and the nuances of movement real world objects have. So it’s pretty ironic so many kids raised on computer games thought real stunt vehicle stunts were fake because they didn’t look the way games had accustomed them to thinking what was normal! Incidentally Jackie Leong made a digital version of the chariot in rhino to help the bike dept work out sizes of frames and linkages etc. You can be assured building it for real and getting it to work safely at speed involved a lot more effort.
I was fascinated with Max in "The Road Warrior" as a child, because he really wasn't a nice guy until he HAD to be. Then my dad introduced me to the "prequel" and I was blown away again. Though the bad dubbing on the American version of "Mad Max" was hard to get past, it did make the movie more weird and...exotic?
The story itself for a prequel is solid. You have established new and past characters involved with one far establishment of Mad Max. Movies like these are perfect for a villain. One dies. Another rises. No need to reprise all of them. WB always gets it. Chris performed great. Anya was great. There brief love she gets with the other driver was brief. It's another franchise storyworld of intriguing features. It really really is. Like Blade Runner. These are ideal for any writer to thrive in* love it.
It was a completely unoriginal sequel(Been there done that) telling a story nobody wanted. This movie never stood a chance. In Hollywood you need to either make a movie people want to see, or bring something original and interesting to the table. This movie made the sin of doing neither of those things. Essentially it was a cash grab and everyone saw it a mile away.
Furiosa had slightly more CGI than Fury Road, but the cinematography of Furiosa ruined some scenes. In some shots, it seems like CGI due to the cinematography, but it's actually real.
I dunno about "ruined" but it is mostly more stylized, and therefore less grounded/realistic looking. But it WAS intentional. Unfortunately people see stylized and they assume fake.
Miller has been moving towards a more graphic novel/comic book look. Furiosa was even considered as an animated film at one point. I don't like the style as much, but it is largely intentional. Part of it too was that Fury Road was a BRUTAL shoot and Miller was too old to repeat it with Furiosa. It's a shame he didn't get to film both movies at the same time, released 6 months apart with Furiosa coming out first, as he intended.
@@Derke73 Yeah I think people really need to realize Fury Road should have NEVER been made in the manner it was, and will NEVER be made again. There was obvious intent by going in the direction they did artistically.
For me Furiosa was such a better film than Fury Road. I enjoyed the complex sets, way more world building with better locations and scenarios, the different factions and towns involved in this wacky world, and the next level detail for the vehicles, weapons, props etc. It will all done so much better and a better story overall. I was just weirded out with how Anya's character went from being a child to 20 something in a matter of a few shots/transitions.. this was just weird to me.
Her(Anya) acting and film's technical key things were extraordinary... Without killing.. Getting his memory was another level.. Film budget will be more than the big cinemas like avatar series and Etc.
These vehicles inspire my builds (yes, I build real doomsday trucks). We share insane ideas in the vehicles we create, just they have MUCH more money than I do. Keep the saga going!
movie gets too much hate in my opinion, it was genuinely fun to watch, lots of action scenes and some actually interesting dialogue that's memorable which is extremely rare in movies nowadays
Furiosa is real rebirth of Mad Max franchise. From original trilogy till now, I feel, was just settling the road for Furiosa movie. But if you throw Dementus (Chris Hemsworth) just like that you will loose an extraordinary possibility for more movies and deeper diving in to the Mad Max saga. My vote is to see Chris as Dementor in the next movie! Somehow, find a way.
It is rather odd they'd call it "Mad Max" and not have max. I ascribe to the theory that water wars "max" was just a persona adopted by one of the many lost children max helped save during the Guzzoline Wars era.
I have to agree with Corridor Crew 100%. The practical effects are stunning, and what you'd expect since The Road Warrior. Where it misses is being too visually "clean". Fury Road was a bit too saturated, but the roughness and tone really helped scuff the visuals to more blend that weathered look that you can never nail down after fresh fabrication.
For Mad Max it's all about the vehicles. But for the WB Suits, Please Please Let the creatives lead. Please do not Cut, Steer or Curb the Creatives such as George Miller. 5:06 Man, the dad of Dementus' actor was a motorhead.. and he's also in the actual film. That is just cool
Pretty sure he was in the first Mad Max too! Or at least some relation of Hemsworth was I think
NGL, that brought a tear to my eye and a hitch to my breathing. My dad's gone. I envy Chris.
