Hi Reza, I need to deploy PowerApps web part with configured app ID to more than several pages. I know that I can do this using PNP Command and PowerShell like; Add-PnPClientSideWebPart -Page 'FAQ' -DefaultWebPartType PowerApps -Section 2 -Column 1 Problem is that I do not know how to add APP ID to a command. Please help
I have figured out if Add-PnPClientSideWebPart -Page 'FAQ' -DefaultWebPartType PowerApps -Section 4 -Column 1 -WebPartProperties @{"powerAppId"='b29813a2-af81-40e9-af16-e5cddS5b4879'}
Basically, it is easy to deploy web part on as many pages you want. Create ForEach loupe and execute command Add-PnPClientSideWebPart -Page $Page -DefaultWebPartType PowerApps -Section 2 -Column 1 -WebPartProperties @{"powerAppId"=$AppID} But, if you have PowerApp which have some parameters like we have, then it is not so easy Just as intro If you are adding a web part manually you just enter your url with parameters , like apps.powerapps.com/play/b29813a2-af81-50e9-af16-e5cdae5b4879?tenantId=f7ef0a90-3179-47cc-8497-f3b5dd0d29fa?&SiteName=ZR_Playground&PageName=Product-overview and this works correctly But if you wish to do this using script you have a challenge. With command Get-PnPClientSideComponent you can check configuration of the manually added web part and there you can notice that you need additional parameters in Add-PnPClientSideWebPart command. Precisely "powerAppId" "paInput" wich is url from example where I was adding web part manually "queryParameters" which are my parameters SiteName=ZR_Playground&PageName=Product-overview and TenantID And there I am not finding a way to correctly pass those queryParameters to command.

Is it possible to show different screens/parts of the powerapps in connected webparts? Ex: PowerApp List Gallery - in one web part and then the assocaited PA Form in a side webpart?
For that you would need some form of deep linking concept in app
I have a question if anyone or Reza can help me please After I publish my customized app on the SharePoint page, would it be possible to manage the permissions and be able to have control over what the end users can see, currently, when I share the link page with users I want them to see the form only and can not see or have access to my back end SharePoint list columns which is my data source. Thank you
Power Apps respects SP security. I dont think there is an option for it but I will recommend checking on the forums at powerusers.microsoft.com/ in case someone has done something similar.
Hi Reza,
I need to deploy PowerApps web part with configured app ID to more than several pages.
I know that I can do this using PNP Command and PowerShell like;
Add-PnPClientSideWebPart -Page 'FAQ' -DefaultWebPartType PowerApps -Section 2 -Column 1
Problem is that I do not know how to add APP ID to a command. Please help
I have figured out if
Add-PnPClientSideWebPart -Page 'FAQ' -DefaultWebPartType PowerApps -Section 4 -Column 1 -WebPartProperties @{"powerAppId"='b29813a2-af81-40e9-af16-e5cddS5b4879'}
Ohhhh! PnP would be the right way. But I am not sure about where to configure the App ID in that PnP command.
Basically, it is easy to deploy web part on as many pages you want.
Create ForEach loupe and execute command
Add-PnPClientSideWebPart -Page $Page -DefaultWebPartType PowerApps -Section 2 -Column 1 -WebPartProperties @{"powerAppId"=$AppID}
But, if you have PowerApp which have some parameters like we have, then it is not so easy
Just as intro
If you are adding a web part manually you just enter your url with parameters , like
apps.powerapps.com/play/b29813a2-af81-50e9-af16-e5cdae5b4879?tenantId=f7ef0a90-3179-47cc-8497-f3b5dd0d29fa?&SiteName=ZR_Playground&PageName=Product-overview
and this works correctly
But if you wish to do this using script you have a challenge.
With command Get-PnPClientSideComponent you can check configuration of the manually added web part and there you can notice that you need additional parameters in Add-PnPClientSideWebPart command.
Precisely
"powerAppId"
"paInput" wich is url from example where I was adding web part manually
"queryParameters" which are my parameters SiteName=ZR_Playground&PageName=Product-overview and TenantID
And there I am not finding a way to correctly pass those queryParameters to command.
Hi Reza
Is there any way to hide the loading of powerapps on page load?
I want to embed powerapps in my portal homepage but it take sometimes to load when a page is open which is not a good user experience
Power apps loading is by design. How long it takes depends upon your app code, specifically what you have written on app onstart or screen visible
Hi Reza thank you a lot for your videos, i have one question: how do you manage the power apps when you create a a new item? how the embedded app can change?
thank you in advance for your help! :)
Since connected web parts only deal with existing items, the only way to include new items would be to add a new item button or icon in the App. Upon click of that, switch the mode of the form to New.
Is it possible to have the "Add New Item" view of the Power Apps form by default instead of waiting for the user to select an item on the list to see the "Modify Item" view?
Currently not possible
@@RezaDorrani Ok thanks Reza. Great video!
Rezza please upload video on different environment moving
ALM is in my backlog
Hi Reza, I am following your videos from few months to create app with form control and your videos are very helpful, Please help to sort my small query, I would like to add formula in my gallery if any user logined who have no any action in the log, have no record submitted how can I add warning for that user that you have no item pending, can you please please please help. need to add this in my gallery. I have already added filter in gallery, now would like to show warning in case of no item user have in the log.
If(varTabSelected=3, Filter('MTP Submissions','Recommender (Recommender0)'.Email=User().Email))
You can check count of rows in gallery and accordingly show that message.
CountRows(Gal.AllItems)=0
I will have to look at your App in action to provide further guidance. I would recommend posting your issue/query with screenshots on the forums at powerusers.microsoft.com
Sir can you please make a video tutorial on how to create a workflow in Powerapps
I have done multiple videos on those.
Here is a one - ruclips.net/video/Om4beefKmV0/видео.html
When adding the link on the SharePoint page, we typically use the web link found on the Details page. However, when we put it in then it doesn't work unless we take out a specific group of characters from the link. Does this ring a bell with you or anyone else as to why this would be the case?
Does not ring any 🔕
Does it work after taking out specific characters? This is a one time setup only per app.
@@RezaDorrani - Yes. It does work after taking out particular characters but I don't see any reason why that would be the case.
@@davidgraf8012 Im not sure about it
@@RezaDorrani - We were trying to replace the existing link in an existing web part with a new link. Could that be the issue? Thanks for your help.
@@davidgraf8012 Should not be.
Please help. I created a form from scratch in powerapps. I want to send it for a mult- approval and save the outcome on excel online. Also, update it. Can you help? Have been following your videos and i believe you can do this with your level of professionalism.
Thanks for following & watching my videos but I do not have a video reference on this scenario and would have to try it out to provide guidance. I would recommend posting your issue/query with screenshots on the forums at powerusers.microsoft.com
@@RezaDorrani Please any update on above request?
@@adewunmiakinyode4924 You will need to post your query in forums. I do not have any updates.
I have an issue where the app draws (the 'save' button and head color rectangle draw), but there is a message, "Getting your data ..." Anyone have a solution? The solutions I located in the tech community are not build for this procedure.
I have not come across the mentioned issue and hence not sure what the cause could be.
I recommend posting your issue on forums in case someone has experienced something similar powerusers.microsoft.com
When you add a PowerApps app to a modern SharePoint site, how can you set it up so that it takes up the maximum amount of size without distorting the screens themselves?
The Power App is sitting in an . Hence size will always be a challenge. In this video, I do set the size of the based on height and width of app to avoid distortion.
why not just use list property?
Which List property?
